Quiet, clean, good service, rich breakfast; also close to the town center, convenient for business trips in Albany;

Stayed en route to Plattsburgh based on online ”glowing” reviews. As a Platinum member I was given a studio room upgrade which was appreciated (I find many Marriott properties will have upgraded rooms available on the app but tell you none are available when you check in, ignoring the corporate upgrade policy). Anyhow, we got there after dinnertime and didn't realize how cool the room was until we got into bed around 9 pm. I had the heat set at 72 and it was blowing cool air (I'm used to sleeping at 65 so this was definitely a problem w/the heating). I called the front desk and the young lady said she would send someone up but after 20 -25 minutes no one came and my husband was very aggravated and wanted to sleep so I canceled the maintenance request. We cranked the heat up to about 80 and finally, after about another hour, the room started to warm up. Nothing was offered for this inconvenience (like points) but I didn't push the issue; just wanted to sleep, get up and get on the road. Speaking of the next day, I went downstairs and fixed myself a plate of breakfast food, and brought it back up to the room. It didn't look terrible but when I tried the eggs, I could tell they were artificial, completely inedible. The oatmeal was gummy, just gross. Sausage greasy. No fresh options, just carbs and processed junk. Sadly I tossed it all. Skip breakfast if you stay here and be sure to check the heating/cooling first thing before you unpack and settle in!!

This hotel is located right off the exit and parking was right outside our room. However, the staff barely spoke English, they hardly spoke to us and didn't explain where anything was (like the pool, breakfast etc). Our room was freezing when we got there, it smelled musty, and it could use updating. Breakfast was very limited and the breakfast area had very little seating. We only stayed 1 night and will probably stay somewhere else next time we are in the area. Not worth the price.

This hotel is excellent in every way. To name a few high points: Hotel is well managed with every detail attended to Well trained staff including the hotel manager and front desk person (Amber), doorman, maintenance man, bartender and dining room staff eager to assist the guest in any way. Impressive decor in public spaces and rooms. Room large and spotless. I would return here on any future trips in a New York minute.

I have always liked Homewood Suites, but my family’s experience here went over and above the others. It seems to be in the middle of nowhere but in fact is walking distance to SPAC and a very short drive from downtown restaurants, shops, etc. The lobby is impressive and you can catch a glimpse of the amazing patio upon walking in. The staff greeting us were very friendly, efficient, and professional. Our room was extremely spacious, with a full but compact kitchen and modern bathroom with the sink separated from the toilet and shower. The only thing I might change would be adding a door outside of the sink area. The TV was oddly placed next to one of the two queen beds but could be pulled out from the wall and tilted from side to side. There is an indoor pool and hot tub as well as a fitness room and small basketball court. The patio has a fire pit and plenty of chairs and a pavilion with grill. Free breakfast was better than expected. This hotel really has it all and when we stayed was very reasonable.

We were traveling the New England area for fall. Found this gem! Loved everything about it. It is beautiful, clean, associates were amazing and the ****** was great! Loved it and hope to visit again! It is a must see if you are in the area. The race track right behind it, was so neat to see.

The hotel is newer than another Hilton in the same city. The room is clean and the facilities are new. The breakfast is very rich and delicious. There is a lot of parking. The location is also very convenient.
