Find the Cheap Leadville Hotels

What an incredible experience all around! A very large group of friends (50+) got together to celebrate Halloween together here, and I cannot say enough. This is a true gem of a hotel, made even more wonderful by the absolutely wonderful staff! The remodel of the main floor is stunning and has a great bar and a fantastic restaurant. The rooms all had comfortable, plush mattresses. And, they were thoughtful enough to include a sound machine in each room. I slept like a baby. Above and beyond this though, truly, was the staff of the hotel. Jasmine and Brittny especially were the most gracious, fun, and accommodating hosts. We were a big, boisterous group, and did it all with multiple Halloween costume changes. Not only was the whole staff incredibly kind (and full of fun tidbits about the history of the hotel), but they wound up joining right in on the fun with costumes of their own! If you are anywhere near Leadville, absolutely go check this place out!

Pros: 1) Staff at hostel were helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. 2) Great shared amenities like a shared fridge, food storage, kitchen appliances, living room with large TV, laundry. Parking really easy right in front of building. 3) Excellent tap water. Cons: 1) I got a single room with a double bed (the Mt Massive room). It did not have a window and I felt really stuffy, and would feel better leaving the room. 2) Rooms do not insulate noise from the outside easily. There are quiet hours after 10pm, but a lot of guests were going to bed earlier for pre sunrise hikes. They do provide ear plugs. 3) Showers unavailable for use between 11am and 2pm. I found that odd given many were returning from morning activities during that time. 4) center of Leadville is a 13 min walk away, at the bottom of the road. If you walk, you’ll have to walk uphill. If I were to stay again, it would be in a private room with windows and a bathroom in a group.

Not fancy, but comfortable and convenient. And the afternoon manager gave us great suggestions for dinner restaurants after a long day of driving and hiking. We'll be back the next time we're in Leadville.
