We came into Chicago for my sons Naval basic training graduation ceremony. This hotel was not on the list of hotels suggested by the base however the reviews were indicative enough to say that it was a nice stay. The front greeter John has got to be by far the most professional gentleman we have ever come across in our 30 plus years of traveling in various states. Thank you for making it so comfortable and memorable and taking the time to truly appreciate our the service our son is giving in the military. You were a pleasure to meet! The room was immaculate! Beds comfortable, exactly what we needed!!!!

We absolutely love staying at The Forester when we are visiting friends and family in the north suburbs of Chicago. The service level is impeccable throughout the entire hotel, the rooms are super clean, the food is incredible (you never need to leave the hotel to find good food!), and the gym is even a ”real gym” with lots of machines and weights. They say that this is a ”Hyatt Place” hotel, but it is 100x better than any Hyatt Place I have ever stayed in, and I've stayed in a lot. Also, when booking with points, this is probably one of the best redemptions in the U.S. for any Hyatt hotel, period.

We arranged for the bridal party for our son's wedding, along with other wedding guests, to stay at the Lincolnshire Hampton Inn which was a few minutes from the reception at the Chevy Chase Country Club. The accommodations at the hotel were the perfect venue for the bridal party to get ready on the day of the wedding, including a separate room with mirror and makeup chairs for the bridesmaids that were provided by the hotel. The staff was very accommodating, the suites were well- appointed, clean and spacious enough for everyone to meet and take pictures, and the shuttle bus that took guests to and from the hotel to the reception was a bonus. I would highly recommend using this Hampton Inn for anyone who is planning a wedding in the area.

The lampshade was huge, and it wasn't adjustable - so basically was in the way. the shower is rather narrow, and you have to be sure to have both doors closed when starting it -- or the floor gets soaked. Towels - cheap hotel ones. Toilet paper - like boot camp sandpaper There isn't a lot to eat nearby, so head into downtown Libertyville - Mickey Finn's is a great spot for one. We came into Chicago for my sons Naval basic training graduation ceremony. This hotel was not on the list of hotels suggested by the base however the reviews were indicative enough to say that it was a nice stay. The front greeter John has got to be by far the most professional gentleman we have ever come across in our 30 plus years of traveling in various states. Thank you for making it so comfortable and memorable and taking the time to truly appreciate our the service our son is giving in the military. You were a pleasure to meet! The room was immaculate! Beds comfortable, exactly what we needed!!!!

GGuest UserEverything starts on my arrival at the Courtyard of Marriot at 505 Milwaukee Avenue. Lincolnshire, IL 60069 on August 28, 2023. As a businessperson, I travel all over the country always using the Marriot to stay, and for that, I have ambassador status. With a previous reservation until September 27, 2023, I found out that the place I was working for let us know they were going to be closed by September 4 for the Labor Day holiday I let them know that and I was able to leave and come back September 5th with no extra charge to my account. Upon my arrival, I was told by the front desk person that I would have a complimentary breakfast, but this person never told me that was only one day. The hotel charges me for breakfast four times when I have one free. I didn’t complain or anything. In the two weekends I spent in the hotel were people making loud noises and running by the halls after midnight and no one did anything even after I called the front desk to let them know. I have an emergency to be in a different city by Monday and I explained to the manager that was an emergency she told me they were going to charge me for an extra night and that was a policy for leaving before all my colleagues stay for two weeks and leave, I will be going to be charged because I need to leave in an emergency. For me this is a weird policy, the manager explained that the hotel paid a toll during the pandemic and that was the reason for the policy, and I would like to know who did not pay a toll during the COVID pandemic. Also, I have already stayed in this hotel for three weeks, and most probably I need to come back, but not to this hotel for sure. Today I went to the front desk and asked the manager if I could change my departure day and she told me that they would charge me for an extra day because I already said that I was staying until September 27.

Rented hotel with the 40% special making a one night stay 94$ per night. I made a reservation for two individual nights at this resort through their website. It was total of 288.00 which they forced me to pay half up front and half at check in so they can charge me per night which was not necessary. I would have paid one time so I wasn’t forced to pay their staggering hotel fees of 34.99 each night totaling 69.98. They already charged me twice for taxes in my multiple night reservation as they would if I booked by the day, totaling 7.74 and 7.52 per night times 2. That’s ok But the fees were 69.98 for two days for amenties they didnt even offer us. There was no safe in the room, ww didn’t use their wifi, the fridge was broken, spent one hour of our hotel stay in the pool area, and we didn’t utilize activities for kids because we have none. On top of that I had to pay 30$ for parking my vehicle in addition and another $15 for the locker because they had no safes in the room to secure our belongings.Upon arrival, they charged me for the whole stay, instead of waiting till check out. They pre assigned us our room that had no patio access before we arrived and upon checking online there is no upcharge for a room facing the car lot with a patio, prices are exactly the same. I requested a room with a patio on the first floor to have easier access to my vehicle they charged me another $30 to upgrade making our final bill $354.50 total broken down into two parts charging us for the two night reservation on top of the $15 bucks for additional locker usage. The don’t offer you to pay for an hours time while using the locker, youre forced to pay for a whole day of isage even though we spent 45-1 hrs time in the pool area. they demand you put prepay down a 100$ deposit to charge the card on file while staying there, which is bullcrap. on top of that they charged me additional $30 dollars to move to a room with a patio 15 per night even though there is no up charge. They charged me a total of 288.50 dividing it into two payments so they can charged me per night taxes and fees and it was $354.50 for two days at 94 a night! WTH! They also took it upon themselves to eneter the room when we weren’t there to apparentely carpet clean even though we had a do not disturb sign on the door, they came in a got the floors all wet and touched all of our belongings and left the room smelling foul and super musty to the point we couldn’t bare it. the whole floor was soaking wet and they offered nothing to us in return like we made it up. we left our belongings a certain way and the lights all off then we come back and our stuff is rummaged through and the entire floor soaking wet. no accommodation by the hotel team at all, I ask to extend our check out for one hour in the am and they told me $89.99 to extend and I mentioned the $69 night extension slip that they stuck under my door and they told me it was total 140.99 if I wanted to extend the night! We were going to Six Flags and got into town much earlier than expected and they allow us to check in early which I thought was great because we were going to have a long day at the park and then we could go straight to the room and go to bed. Nice thought but not quite how it went. We got back to the hotel about 10 PM and our key was not working. We went to the front desk she gave us a new key, which also did not work. The front desk worker went up to our room with another key, and she tried to open it with no luck; she then went down and called her boss while we sat in the waiting area with our two kids (teenage boys 12/13). After about 20 minutes I checked in and were told she was calling maintenance; I asked if they could give us another room so the boys could at least lay down and maybe watch some TV which she was able to do and gave us a room super close to our original room. I waited about 30 minutes and went down to see the status. I was told she called maintenance and was waiting to hear back, but her boss said worst case scenario maintenance would be in early the next morning. I told her we had medication that was needed in that room. She called her boss back who said they needed to wait an hour from that point to hear from maintenance and if they didn’t respond, they would call the fire department to get the door open. At this point we have been dealing with this for close to an hour already and I mentioned that so she said she would wait 15 minutes. Another employee showed up about 20 minutes later (thinking possibly the manager) and he told me the fire department was on the way and they arrived about 10 minutes later. The fire department did an amazing job and got into the room in about 20 minutes. I know this was a very unfortunate event that probably rarely happens; my issue was the initial response of telling me we would need to wait until morning when all our belongings were in the room then telling me we had to wait another hour before they called the fire department. A bad situation that was handled badly. I do feel bad for the young girl that was working the front desk as I think she was working alone and could only do so much. Overall the staff was friendly but management response was lacking to say the least. Both rooms also smelled of stale smoke but to be honest that was less of an issue after dealing with the issue of getting into our room. All this and we still paid full price for our room.

We were very satisfied with the accomidations provided for us when we stayed at this hotel. One of my family members has a physical disability and uses a wheelchair, so we were looking for a hotel with a handicap suite. This hotel had a fabulous one! There was a large roll-in shower and ample support bars on walls. Speaking of showers, the Shower had great water pressure. The beds were very comfortable and pillows and linens were fresh and fluffy. There was a relaxing heated pool on site as well as fitness center. In the morning, we were able to enjoy their Free Hot Breakfast. There was a wide variety of items on the Breakfast Buffet. Such as Fruit, turkey sausage, veggie omlet, biscuits and gravy, several cold cereals, yogurt, boiled eggs, bagels, muffins, cinnomin rolls, cold fruit juices, a pancake maker, oatmeal with toppings, and of course Coffee, Tea, and Hot Chocolate! They have a little area by the front desk where you can buy snacks 24 hours a day. For example, Chips and crackers, bottled beverages and candy. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Overall, we were impressed with how well maintained the hotel was. Very Clean!
