This is the hotel I am most satisfied with during this trip to the western United States. It is as new as domestic hotels and has a layout similar to domestic five-star hotels. The rooms are relatively large and there are hot and cold water machines on each floor. If you book early, the price is not expensive. It is a very cost-effective hotel and is worth recommending.
After staying in an apartment hotel, I will choose such a hotel for more than a week. It looks simple, but there is enough space. The most important thing is to make something to eat by yourself. The hotel staff are very friendly. For personal reasons, they changed the room twice. They politely said that it is what we should do to make your stay here comfortable, which makes people feel very warm. There is breakfast, but unfortunately I haven't eaten it. Parking is convenient, and it costs 9 dollars a night.
Right next to airport, convenient location. No restaurant available within walking distance. Room is clean, nice swimming pool. Parking costs $18 per night. It's too much.

I have a special-needs son and every night or every other night I have to go down to the front desk and get a fresh change of sheets. And for me I feel like I am bothering the front desk by asking for a fresh change of sheets. But Miss Jody never hesitate and gives me fresh change of sheets. Every time I go down there with a smile on your face, and I really appreciate that. Her kindness and her professionalism is amazing and I just wanted to tell Jody thank you for making me feel comfortable here at the Marriott residence Inn John Wayne Airport. The maid service is excellent. The rooms are amazing The maid service is 100% quality. Just everything about this place is amazing and I want to thank everybody that works here. Have a beautiful day🌹🔥🙏🏿
The room is spacious and bright, tidy and hygienic, with a wide view. The bathroom has shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and towels. There is no toothbrush, toothpaste and slippers. The hotel has a paid parking lot, and breakfast is available for an additional fee.
This hotel had so many great reviews, but we have stayed here twice, and have had HORRIBLE experiences both times. We are globalists and used points to book. I booked online using the World of Hyatt app, where names of other people staying in the room are added to the ”notes”. I was staying with my aunt and uncle while my husband and mother in law stayed at another hotel where we also have points. Edward at the front desk was rude and unhelpful when my aunt and uncle arrived before me and attempted to check in. He accused them of lying and said he can't see notes on reservations from his computer, and told them that having their names in the notes section meant nothing anyway because ”anyone could hack in and add names.” They also had a printed copy of the reservation with them, so obviously they should have been allowed to check in. I tried to call from the car while driving to meet them, to let Edward know they should be on the reservation, but he wouldn't help and said I had to call some 800 number to have a rep add their names to reservation. Well, I was driving a rental car in traffic, so this was not possible! It felt like he was intentionally trying to make our experience inconvenient for some reason, which was so sad and disappointing. If he was trying to do everything he could to help, but unable, that would have been okay, but he was just unnecessarily RUDE and completely unapologetic or willing to do ANYTHING to try to help, which is why I'm writing this review, and it was also embarrassing for me as a globalist trying to let my family stay in my room with me. When I finally arrived to check in, my aunt and uncle were sitting on the curb outside because they said they felt uncomfortable in the lobby with Edward glaring at them. I checked us in, and Edward was still unapologetic and rude. We are usually upgraded as globalists, but we were not offered this either. The room was fine and clean at least. Also, globalists usually receive complementary parking, but when we checked out, we were charged for parking. I tried to call the customer service line, waiting on hold for 38 minutes before being hung up on. I also tried to use the live customer service chat through the app, but after 41 minutes, no one ever came online. I finally reached the hotel directly, and the general manager, Terry or Kerry? was rude and said the charges were valid unless the reservation was ”redemptive.” I wasn't sure what she meant by that, but I'm done with this hotel.
Environment: Suite, with entrance cabinet, partition cabinet, toilet and bathroom in two rooms. Spacious enough.
Facilities: Booked a room with sofa bed, there is a spare bedspread and blanket in the closet, and asked the front desk to add a set of bedding, which is equivalent to 2 beds including sofa, plus 2 large beds for a total of 4 beds, suitable for families with children.
The buffet breakfast is nothing new, but it is not bad.
Parking fee is charged, $19 a day, no one checks the entry and exit. At present, only hotels in California still charge parking fees.
The service is satisfactory and it is quite clean overall.
One-night stay. Shuttle from airport was prompt however driver did not offer to help with luggage. Check-in at 8:30 PM went fine. Sandwich’s at “Bistro” were expensive but no car and late to go elsewhere. Room was very modern and clean. Bed and linens very comfortable! Huge TV! Sink was separate from the toilet and shower room which I like! Our king room had walk-in shower (no tub). Did not purchase breakfast nor use courtyard. Quiet, business-center neighborhood. Check-out and billing was ok although my address on bill was for address & state hundreds of miles away!
I stay in roughly 70 hotels a year. I generally stay at Marriott‘s and never have any issues. One of my friends decided to book this room and stay at the Embassy suites in Orange, Irvine. We stayed in a different Hilton the day before. I was just as disappointed in both locations. Staff seems miserable. Not welcoming. We explained the issues we had at the previous location and the original lady at the front desk was trying to be pleasant. Then a manager came by, Sophia, she was very disrespectful and not very friendly to work with. I would expect better service from a reputable organization. Breakfast is served until 9 AM. So in the event that you are not an early riser you are SOL. I would recommend staying elsewhere and if Hilton sees this please retrain your managers especially Sophia and treating customers. I know I may not have an elite status with this hotel provider. However, I am a titanium member with Marriott. I will not be changing to Hilton anytime soon. I’ve made the decision that if I ever needed I would rather stay in my car than sleep in another Hilton. We also tried to explain and showed proof that they double charged us. They refuse to believe us even though our bank statements show otherwise. I will be submitting a chargeback with my credit card company as I refused to speak with another staff member at this horrid facility. Sophia, do not work in customer service if you do not know how to serve customers.
