Excellent
GGuest UserThis is an excellent property, far exceeding our expectations. Very nice King room, VERY clean throughout, and very comfortable. The whole property was neat and clean. Would/will stay again without a doubt. Kudos to the management and staff. The only small negative was related to the breakfast, thinking they need a new cook. The pork sausage on the morning we stayed was burned to a crisp. The nice ”singing staff person” who was manning the breakfast even brought out another pan of the links but they were as bad or even worse than the first. Come on, pick up your game there a bit please. The cinnamon rolls were fresh and hot and gooey just they way they should be. The coffee was hot and fresh. Overall a 5-star stay for which we were very thankful!
Beautiful room and location. Perfect for families. The location of the hotel is amazing. I liked that it was in the downtown Columbia area where there are several nice restaurants within walking distance. We could see a pool below our room outside. The suite/room decor was great- reminded me of a model home. We had a 2 bedroom unit that reminded me of a large extended stay hotel. It had a beautiful kitchen that was fully equipped with plates, pots, pans, etc. There was a washer/dryer, large walk-in closet, beautiful bathroom. The only drawback was the 2nd bedroom because it was only large enough for the queen bed inside it. But that wasn't a problem for us.
裴裴The hotel has a free shuttle bus to Baltimore Airport and Arundel Shopping Center. It is always convenient to arrange at any time, which is more convenient and more in line with my wishes. The front desk service is good and patient. The room is large, the bed is wide and clean. No breakfast, coffee is free, there are retail shops on the first floor of the hotel to buy instant noodles, sandwiches, etc. The room has a microwave and refrigerator, breakfast can cope.
GGuest UserGreat, super clean rooms. Located conveniently in a walking distance to a number of restaurants, shops and Toby's Dinner Theatre (2 miles down the road) where we saw a beautiful performance . Lovely, courteous staff at the front desk and at the breakfast. Hot breakfast in the morning. Sadly, guests are leaving trash in front of the hotel on a bench without cleaning after themselves. Thank you, Team Hampton Inn and Suites, for your hospitality!
GGuest UserMr. Will easily resolved some payment issues for me and also relayed my gratitude in my absence to both Ms. Liz who was the best do-it-all waitress at the previous night's dinner and the gentlelady or gentleman who cleaned our room. Could not ask for more nor better - the people make the place a real comfort. The ladies who served us during continental breakfast worked hard, gave generous portions, and always were taking care of us as we just tried to get through the early hours at the start of a long and fateful day. And those who checked us in or manned the front desks gave helpful advice and anticipated our needs for all our convenience. Excellent service is not easy, and I am thankful for those who gave it to us through our stay.
Aangela bThis hotel has been amazing in so many ways. We had a horrible First night as a lacrosse team from BC at a neighbouring hotel and had to leave. Sonesta Select Columbia found us rooms and were so accommodating. The rooms were clean and polished, the staff went above and beyond for us and the amenities were exactly what we needed. I totally recommend this hotel for anyone
GGuest UserNice hotel stay with mom. Went to a local steakhouse very close to the hotel with good food. Nice that they had breakfast and late check out.
SShannonA630After my flight was canceled in Baltimore, I rented a room. I called and requested a shuttle to the hotel. I verified 3 times where I should be standing to catch the shuttle. After waiting for 1/2 an hour, I watched the shuttle drive through quickly, never stopping. I ran after the shuttle shouting and waving my hands, to no avail. Mind you, it was after midnight, in a city I don’t know, and I was alone. I hailed a cab to take me to the hotel, and a mile ride cost me $20 - thanks shuttle driver! I went inside to check in, and informed the night clerk of the shuttle, and he ignored me. Thanks night clerk! I got to my room, and it was filthy. I travel with antibacterial wipes, so I made do with a wipe down of my room. I also washed my hands, and realized the room had no soap or hand towels in it. Should I call the desk? He didn’t care the shuttle left me, there’s no way he’ll care about soap or towels. I tried to take a shower, and the water was yellow. Luckily, I had my water bottle from the plane, so I had something to drink for my stay. I thought I’d try taking a short nap, before returning to the airport for my early flight. Both beds leaned backwards, so I felt like I was falling all night. The sheets were clean and soft, which was the one redeeming thing of the room. After napping for a whopping 20 minutes, I gave up. I checked out early morning. The shuttle driver back to the airport was different from the one on the previous night. She was fantastic - she was nice, and thorough. I spent nearly $100 for a horrendous experience, not including the taxi ride. I didn’t expect a fancy hotel experience, but just promised basic amenities were awful. Skip this location. The morning shuttle driver was the only good part of my experience.
