Find the Cheap Geneva-on-the-Lake Hotels

We had a 2-night stay in a Deluxe Cabin. The one we had was obviously refurbished recently as it was all new carpet in the bedrooms. Everything was clean and updated. Our view was great and we’re steps away from the paved trail along the Lake as well as the lodge pool. The cottage provides a covered porch with nice furniture. I would not recommend more than 4 people in a cottage (2-3 is ideal). The fridge is larger than a typical hotel room fridge. They also provide a toaster, plates cups silverware, paper towels, Keurig coffee machine with Starbucks. We brought our own food for breakfast, and ate in restaurants outside the lodge or got takeout to bring back. The bathroom is amazing. There is no TV in the queen bedroom only in the king and living area. The only negative we had was being surrounded by a family reunion that had multiple cottages around us. It’s set up like an RV or trailer park where you are close to your neighbors. They were up very late, walking and talking outside of our windows. We didn’t get to use the fire pit because they took that over each night. But the lodge has large patio spaces with fire pits too. We used the pool each day. One evening I did a night swim. The pool is heated. The lodge itself is very grand and lovely and been refurbished. I would recommend this location 100 times. We want to go back in the Fall.

I can't say enough good things about our stay! The room was great! It was clean & quiet, & we had a view of a wooded area. It was nice to watch the birds while relaxing. I didn't expect the kitchen to be so nice... larger fridge than normal for a hotel room, 2 burner stove, microwave oven, sink, & dishwasher. Also, pots, pans, plates, cups, & glassware. Every employee was very kind, especially the sweetheart that works at the desk in the evening. I didn't get her name, but I know you'll know who I mean if you go. She was so very helpful & kind. The only thing I might suggest (from my husband) is to leave the coffee station up in the lobby later. He said the coffee there was better than what's available in your room.

Check-in was a breeze. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean, inside and out. The room was great; the bed was comfortable, bathroom was a nice size and clean, the refrigerator actually worked, which is surprising because in my experience , I've found they rarely keep things cold. I would definitely stay here again, if in the area.

We came up for our 40th anniversary weekend. We've always had good luck with Hampton Inns. Since this is a fairly new place, we expected an even nicer experience. For the price we paid, we didn't get a great experience. The breakfast was very disappointing. We ended up going out to eat which made the room rate even less of a deal. The beautiful looking shower had pitiful water pressure and the shower head was the cheapest you could buy. It was too high for my husband to reach to adjust and when I tried to adjust it, the dial just spun. The room temp couldn't be regulated. You were either cold and muggy or warm and muggy. No in between. You couldn't use the desk lamp without having the hall light on at the same time. Why have a desk light then? The hands free check in for room cards didn't work. We had to end up getting cards anyhow. The toilet paper holder was placed in the most awkward spot under your left arm. You just hit your elbow each time. No bar or ledge to hold onto when sitting down or standing up from the toilet. You only had the shower door handle and that is not built to hold weight. The staff was friendly and the location of the hotel was great. Neither makes up for the other issues. We stayed 3 nights and will not be staying again in the future. I expected so much more from a Hampton Inn. Save your money and get a room elsewhere. I did write the hotel and got no reply.
