Very Good
My first impression of this property was that it is SO CLEAN. We stopped here on a road trip during the Canadian wildfires this summer, so the whole area was blanketed in smoke. I was NOT excited about staying at an EconoLodge - we were having a rough trip because of the smoke and I wanted a little bit of luxury. Well if EVERY EconoLodge were like this one, I'd stay there all the time! The staff were very friendly, there were all kinds of little extras - tea, snacks, ice water - nothing expensive, but tiny touches that made us feel welcome and comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding, the area was quiet and restful, and it was SO comfortable. The place was absolutely spotless; whoever runs their housekeeping deserves an award. Overall I had the impression that this place was run with love and with an attitude of taking care of the guests. I actually felt like a GUEST, a welcome guest, as opposed to the transactional feeling of simply being a paying customer that is present at so many other properties. Whoever is managing this property is doing it right. I would actually be willing to rearrange future road trips to specifically go by this property so we could stay here again.
JJacki CHubs found this spot at hotels.com and as we approached didn't see many cars and thought it was closed! However we did see a few near the front door. We were tired and didn't need all the ”bells and whistles”. We got what we paid for. It was quiet and clean and not terribly expensive ($60.) It has Continental breakfast although started at 7:00AM and we hit the road earlier. There is no night desk clerk but if you dial 0 you can connect with someone if need be.There was no microwave but tv and WiFi were good as was the bed. There was a coffee pot but no coffee - little problems that come under the heading ”No Frills” - We'd stay here again although will ask for 2nd floor up. I DO NOT SUBMIT FAKE REVIEWS!! If I was a business I'd REALLY be upset with that so, real reviews only!!
SsusanwinetastingLet me first say, the manager and staff are wonderful people and very helpful. I am fully aware that they cannot take care of all the maintenance issues that this hotel and suites has. Our room was comfortable enough though there were some issues. Specifically the tiny pedestal sink did not drain. We did not notice this until just before bed and weren't about to call the front desk at that time. The faucet itself was in need of a thorough scrubbing, as well as the faucet in the tub. Other fixtures in the bathroom were clean. My husband noticed the next morning that his feet were black on the bottom. Sure enough, mine were as well. The floor was a brown wood, so it didn't show the dirt. We did have a kitchenette and full-size refrigerator. Because of that no breakfast was offered and there was no in room coffee either. My husband went to the lobby in the morning where there was coffee. but it was cold. Also, it appears some people essentially live there and hang out in the parking area, right near the entrance to smoke and socialize. I felt uneasy about this, but told myself it was just for the night.
GGuest UserUpon check in and check out, the staff was absolutely amazing! The room was clean and the amenities in the room seemed new. My only complain as a single female traveler is that I did not feel 100% safe. The guest staying on the first floor constantly had the door propped and even when it was closed I checked to see if it was locked and I could walk right in.
There was a family outside that were constantly at a picnic table smoking with kids riding their bikes and skateboards in the street… one guy even came over to me in my car and asked if he could buy ****.
I made sure my safety latch was on at all times but it’s a shame. I def wouldn’t stay there again by myself.
