Go to Yosemite to choose Fresno as a transit station, arrive at the hotel in the evening, the hotel is good, there are good restaurants nearby as a choice. By the way, I also went to target. Nice hotel choice.
I first visited this hotel in 2018. In 2022, this hotel is suffering a little from the aftermath of the pandemic. The rooms are spacious, the bed comfortable, 3 chairs in the room, one office type, one straight chair and one easy chair, plus a work table. Mini-fridge in the room. Garden-facing rooms have a pleasant view. There were some minor deferred maintenance issues. No daily maid service, a Covid innovation that should be reversed, IMHO. The pre-pandemic excellent breakfast has now been reduced to a minimal ”grab 'n go” bag. The 4 employees I encountered were friendly and helpful. The room rate on Trip.com was reduced appropriately given the reduced service.
I have stayed at Sonesta ES suites twice in the last month. Every time I've had to call to make arrangements, the staff is super friendly and helpful. They are pet friendly with a very reasonable pet fee, and the property is gorgeous. Derek at the front desk was especially kind and helpful during my check-in process, making sure all my needs were tended to and all questions asked. I highly recommend this property for business or pleasure, and especially dog lovers!

Had to book this hotel last minute after another changed my reservation unexpectedly. The service at the front desk was great. Parking was easy. Room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was what I'd expect at a Homewood Suites. TV signal was on the fritz for a little bit but resolved itself pretty quickly. There were only 2 towels in the suite but it was easy enough to go down and grab extra. I liked that the front desk had board games you could rent out for free. Overall this was a pleasant and easy stay for my family during our short trip to Fresno.
When you stay at Tropical Paradise in Fresno, you'll be in a shopping district, within a 5-minute drive of California State University, Fresno and Save Mart Center. This guesthouse is 1 mi (1.6 km) from Valley Children's Stadium and 1.3 mi (2.2 km) from Beiden Field.
Enjoy recreation amenities such as an outdoor pool or take in the view from a garden. Additional features at this guesthouse include complimentary wireless internet access, a fireplace in the lobby, and a picnic area.
Featured amenities include express check-out, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Treat yourself to a stay in one of the 3 individually decorated guestrooms, featuring fireplaces and private pools. Your pillowtop bed comes with down comforters and Frette Italian sheets. Rooms have private furnished patios. Kitchens are outfitted with full-sized refrigerators/freezers, ovens, and stovetops. 55-inch Smart televisions with digital programming provide entertainment, while complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected.
The interior space of the rooms is in need of updating. Poor and shotty workmanship is very evident in what is there now. The fitness room is accessed by an outside door next to the lobby and when I attempted to open it two homeless men staggered out. There were marks on the floor from spilt soda hopefully. It did not smell like urine but it was creepy. The have cameras in the unit but they either don't work or no one is monitoring the room. I recommened they do a couple physical sweeps every evening since it was mentioned this is not the first time they have had this problem. There is a container for dissenfectant wipes but it was empty. The fan in the fitness room does not work. The clock on the wall is not working. This is all in the fitness room.
The parking situation needs to be addressed. One exit is closed so you have to go against the directional traffic arrows to get out of the property.
We found the bed comfortable and the complimentary breakfast in the morning acceptable.
The location of the hotel is very close to the airport, you can walk, you will be through the airport parking lot! Hotel facilities are very old, there is no service at all, enough for overnight stay at the airport!
I have stayed here multiple times over the last 2 years for work and everything is always great. Always warm welcome from the front desk team when checking in, the rooms are generously sized, very comfortable beds and great AC, I like a cold room! My go-to hotel when I’m in town for Business.
I used to stay at this location years ago with my old firm and recently returned for a business trip. I had flight issues which delayed my arrival by a day and when I called to let them know, Leslie graciously acknowledged my Platinum status and allowed me to cancel that night with no penalty as a one-time courtesy, which I was not expecting since I was past the window for changes/cancellations. Upon (finally) arriving, I noticed that the hotel had undergone a facelift since my last stay. Still your standard Courtyard, but they did a nice job updating the hotel given what they had to work with. The front-desk staff was just as accommodating as I remembered and my room was clean and comfortable.

GGuest UserI’ve stayed at Fairfield Inns several times in Canada, but this was my first time in the US. When I first walked into the room, there was a very strong chemical smell that I found totally unpleasant and overwhelming. It only dissipated by keeping the window open almost all of the time during my 4-day stay. The other major issue is that there weren’t enough light sources. The room was rather dark, especially at night. The only overhead light in the room was the one near the door, and it was on a timer. So, I had to stand up every 15 minutes to switch it back on. There was a reading lamp and a strange object below it that could have been an ottoman since it had no back. I would have loved a reading chair in the room. Instead, there was this weird ottoman-like thing without a back that didn’t function as a chair. Perhaps it was just a spot to place a suitcase. I have no idea. The walls were very thin, as I could hear my neighbor’s TV quite loudly all the time they were in the room. In addition, I really would have liked a safe in the room. On the plus side, the walk-in shower was great and the breakfast was very good. I send a shout-out to Tony, the person who checked me in. He was extremely good-natured and helpful. I wish all employees at hotels were like him. Overall, this hotel was a mixed bag, especially with regard to the room odour. I would probably try another hotel if I were to come back to town.
GGreg LPretty typical Hampton Inn experience, clean, comfortable, safe, nice staff. The location is very good, a quiet area surrounded by medical offices and several other similar hotels. It is right off the 41 freeway but far enough away to not hear any traffic noise. There are several shopping centers just on the other side of the freeway including a movie theater, many food options, and a Costco. A good neighborhood for sure. A few minor complaints: The air conditioning fan was very noisy; There is little sound insulation between rooms - the family next door speaking in a normal volume sounded as if they could have been in our room; We had no TV signal due to some technical issues that day. The Hilton corporation should have technicians on-call to fix such issues. We want our TV entertainment before we go to sleep. It was still not working when we checked out the next day. Minor complaints aside, we liked this hotel and will likely stay here next time we visit Fresno.
GGuest UserThis hotel has construction, and we were only told upon check-in to expect an 'inconvenience.' The noise beginning early in the morning on Monday, the second night of our stay, was absolutely unbearable, and ruined our morning on the day of preparation for a relatives funeral. Literally sounded like a jackhammer on the wall outside our room. They’re doing stonework. There's dust flying everywhere. There's loose plaster on the carpet in the elevators and the hallways. Construction workers come and go in the elevators alongside customers with all their equipment and mess and noise. There's an operating cherrypicker in the registration area of the parking lot with no safety cones. You walk out the East guest door on the first floor into a total hardhat situation with people doing stonework on ladders overhead, construction material blocking the exit, and the door is usually propped open all day. I politely told the front desk that we unfortunately needed to check out 2 days early due to the noise, and requested a late checkout to 3pm because we had appointments at the church, and funeral home, and hadn't planned to have to change hotels today. Note that I'm a platinum member, and didn't expect this to be an issue whatsoever given the unusual circumstances. I was denied, and asked for the manager, who promptly flatly denied my request with literally the rudest most uncaring expression and flat tone possible. I reinstated my request and attempted to explain my situation, and the manager admitted that the hotel was not booked (obviously because my room was already spoken for for 2 more nights), but still, she flatly denied me. She finally told me it was because the hotel could experience 'loss of revenue.' So I'm here to tell you that if revenue is more important than customer experience or showing compassion to a customer you placed in a difficult situation, I will no longer be staying at La Quinta. I'll certainly never step foot in this one again, in a town I visit every month. And I’ll be demanding a full refund from La Quinta Platinum Customer Service, let’s see where that gets me. I also recommend anyone else over the next few months seriously reconsider. I don't care about your loss of revenue. Close this place, finish it up, and reopen. With a new manager. There are several really nice hotels with similar rates in the immediate area.
GGuest UserWe stayed at this location as a way stop while helping move our daughter to southern California for school. We were caravanning with two cars loaded with household items. Prior plans to connect with family in the Yosemite area (and keep things secure overnight) had to be hastily changed because of evolving wildfires. We made a last minute reservation and pulled in to this hotel later in the evening. Ever aware of possible security risks, but knowing there wasn’t any way to avoid leaving things in the cars, we took a little comfort that they had someone sitting outside the hotel entry who the desk indicated was there to watch the cars –and we did take more valuable items like laptop computers to the room. When we returned to our cars early the next morning, both of them had smashed backseat windows. The household items, mostly packed in storage bins, were untouched. However, about half of our daughter’s clothes that were in a large stuffed duffle and two handmade quilts – one she’d made with her grandmother last year before she passed – were gone. I’m giving the hotel 1 star because of security. The security person they had out front seemed to be semi-catatonic, which had prompted my inquiry at the desk when we checked in, and which in hindsight should have raised more questions. However, with a last minute, nonrefundable reservation and being at the end of a 12 hour day of driving we didn’t feel like we had much choice. The signs about not leaving valuables in your car that dot the parking lot also aren’t much help, except for the hotel to be able to say “we told you so”. This is a hotel along the highway -of course there are travelers with stuff –most people aren’t just making a short trip to the corner mall. The hotel staff nicely helped get us trash bags, broom and vacuum to clean up all the broken glass, and provided the phone number for the police, but didn’t do much more. I asked about security camera footage since we were right in the field of view for two cameras –but the front desk couldn’t reach their manager to get permission to share it. I left my name and phone, but never heard back. We called the police immediately upon discovering the damage and stolen items, but they didn’t show up and so we left to start looking for someplace that could replace broken windows on a Saturday (hint, auto dealers aren’t likely going to be able to help). We got one car fixed at a glass shop associated with the local pick-n-pull –but it took about half the day. The other vehicle, which was less than a week old, I ended up driving to southern California without a window (which means other windows also have to be down to avoid the resulting wind throb –that’s fun for 4-1/2 hours) with the hope of finding a dealer to make the repair near our final destination. In the end, this is a crime hole. Until the Hotel finds way to really effectively ensure safety and security (it’s a cinch as others aren’t going to) you’d be be
GGuest UserIt was kinda on far side of Fresno but it surprisingly very clean the rooms were big . The beds were comfortable it was quiet it was a very pleasant stay .only complaint is I paid extra for breakfast and there was no breakfast being served u got a bag with a water a granola bar and a muffin wish these places would start serving breakfast again but overall a nice stay it was kinda in a not to great area but have stayed in way worse areas in Fresno
GGuest UserI came here on a 13 week assignment, before getting here I called to make sure that my reservation was complete and to make sure that I could pay monthly as I will be here for the next 3 months. I spoke with Cody who happens to be THE WORST hotel manager I have ever met.Who stated that I would need to pay up 2 weeks ahead and then I would be able to pay the monthly. Ever think about getting rid of him? I have talk to him almost weekly and Ive been here 4 weeks, because they have over drafted my account on numerous charges that have come up to well over $800 alone because they find it funny, I guess, to continue to try to draft my account for what ever amount they want. They have made my account so over drawn that I can't even afford to pay for my regular bills that come out automatically. I am in debt, where as when I came here I wasn't Speaking with this Cody guy is a complete waste of time. He as left me on hold, he never returns my call, he has had held my packages that have come in the mail until they can deduct money from my account. The front desk people are rude, they never state their names and when you ask you, ”My name is J”. Really? Ive worked in customer service before and the first thing you know is to let the customer know who they are talking too. Oh wait this isn't a 5 star facility. I have asked that they clean the air vent in the bathroom because it looks like they haven't cleaned it since the 80's. They still haven't cleaned it. So their salute to cleanliness and protocol for covid measures is non existent. I have pictures and screen shots of my account to back up everything that I have stated. I have contacted corporate about my issues seeing as how talking to Cody is like talking to a Attention Deficit Adult. Yea I said it and I mean it. If corp doesn't take these concerns to heart and find out a way to get me my money back and stop dipping into my account when ever they want I will MOST certainly obtain an attorney. We travel nurses are here for a safe, clean, customer friendly place to stay and to get treated like this is deplorable.
BBernice RuizOnly thing that wasn't to my liking was there was only entrance They wanted yew to enter through instead b4 they use to have a variety of entrances accessible to the hotel it was a hassle moving my belongings from the father side of the hotel nd my room was on the 3rd floor. Nd no baggage dolly that they use to have b4 that wasn't Available either
PPENGI heard from customers that the surrounding area is not very safe, so I took everything in the car to the room. Actually, it was OK, nothing happened. The room is quite big.
