I am going to start by first saying that this review of mine is going to be a complete first. Throughout my travels I have not had the chance to revisit one Hotel or resort that I have been too even though I say i would and might one day that has not happened untiil now. My family and I have became avid hockey fans of the nearby ECHL team close to this hotel and fate bought us back 2 weeks in a row. I choice this hotel due to its location to the game and it was super close to almost everything. There was zero noise from the inside and out and we sleep like babies both visits. The downsides really happened on this last weekends trip and that deals with mainly customer service. Both trips we noted that the rooms had not been dusted in some time with a large collection of dust seen on the top of the frigerator and above the vent from the cooking area inside the room. At breakfast both on Saturday and Sunday the woman working the breakfast area was asked if they had anymore milk or spoons and both times was very rude and did not offer to get either for my family. I also seen this same worker be very rude to an older man who just asked what time they stopped serving. Housekeeping also asked me as i was on my way up to my room an hour prior to check out if we were checking out already because they needed to get a jump on cleaning the room and my reply was i still had one hour to check out. I also noted that as i passed on the first floor and ontop my floor at the top that trash was not being picked up as it was on my first visit and towles also were not being pickup up even at one point my room being ignored until the next morning. I also asked for extra towles the last day and those were never delieved. I also noted the first tip i had to call the front desk to get more towles sent to the pool area. I can say that this is my go to hotel to watch the games in the area but that customer service needs a touch up. Also i will note that the contactless check out does not work and i still after checking in on the app i still needed to go to the front desk.
Very clean hotel. I love that they clean every day. The guy at the front desk was helpful and responsive every time I needed him. But there is NO parking. The room was small compared to others I’ve stayed in. The bathroom was very tiny. The door was almost hitting the toilet when I opened it. No stream play on the TV from your phone even though all newer hotels have them. Since I was here on business I tried to save money and eat in every day. Difficult kitchen to cook in. They don’t have a countertop stove so they give you a single hot plate. Pots and pans are smaller but wasn’t a problem since I was eating for one. I travel alot for work so I’ve stayed in many suites. A suite to me is more of something you can fully live out of for a short period of time. Typically it is a small kitchenette but it has at least a small 2 burner counter top stove and a small oven. This one had neither which I believe most home2suites don’t anyways. But the parking situation is what brought it down so far for me. A lot of construction going on but there’s a Marriott right behind it with a much bigger parking area. I had to park across the street every day. But the gentleman at the front desk was great!
The hotel was lovely. The room was very clean and provided all of the basics.
The staff was extremely accommodating and went to Great Lengths to make our stay comfortable. The front desk person actually helped my brother-in-law get a donut on his car after he blew out a tire. I saw consistent acts of kindness and consideration. Would very highly rate their staff.
Housekeeping was efficient and always made sure our towels were replaced as needed and the garbage bags were supplied when requested.
Rooms for able to maintain a cool environment despite very high temperatures outside. Internet worked well.

Eight weeks...that is how long we stayed at this hotel. We thought it was ok at first. Then we started noticing shady characters hanging around. This is because some sort of charity has made a deal with this hotel to house troubled people. Also the hotel has made other deals to have work done on the rooms, lobbies and other common areas. The ”contractors” hired for this work bring their friends and children to the hotel to ”hang out” while they work. The of course there is the element of crime. It is happening on the premises and the management and staff are indifferent with the fact that their guests are becoming victims of theft. Several cars have had their catalytic converters stolen from this hotel's parking lot within the last couple months. This hotel should be removed from the Marriott portfolio. While the housekeeping did their jobs and would clean about once a week, the hotel is suffering from sub par maintenance and shady ”renovations” . They did have basic breakfast. And when I say basic, I mean basic. This hotel is becoming a lost cause and will soon be only suitable as a half way house or other subpar facility. When you consider how many good reviews they get, you wonder...well I will post this review...see if it disappears. We did have our catalytic converter stolen and have had to put up with the nonsense we observed during our stay. I am sorry but, I would and will advise others to avoid this hotel.
First, the good points. Extremely nice people working here and the place was clean. It was quiet during our stay. There were some disappointing points as well. (1) When we arrived for a scheduled two night stay, the room airconditioner was set at 82 degrees. I understand saving electricity and set my own home thermostat higher when no one will be home, but we did arrive at our expected time and the thermostat should have been adjusted down. The room was too hot to stay in and took over an hour to cool to a tolerable 77 degrees.( Probably I should have just opened the room fridge and allow it to cool the room. After all, the pint of milk and water bottles I put in there were frozen solid the next morning.) (2) We were given two bath towels for three people for three nights. We expected more to be delivered the next day, but no housekeeping was done at all. No more towels, no coffee pods, no emptying of trash. When I asked, I was told there was no housekeeping on the weekends. Would have been nice to know that before we had booked. They did keep some more threadbare towels I was able to pick up myself at the front desk. (3) The bed linens were comfortable enough for the two queen beds, but very skimpy for the couch fold out bed. One pillow, a bottom sheet, no top sheet and a very thin cover. I was glad I had brought our granddaughter's favorite blanket. (4) As I said, no coffee pods were brought for the in room coffee for the second day. Agreed, this is never going to be a decent cup of coffee, but the caffeine helps you wake up. I was allowed to get myself coffee downstairs at the breakfast buffet area. We didnt eat at the breakfast buffet since it was $8.00 per person and I was already not impressed with the other offerings at the hotel. Hate to say this, but the buffet coffee was not too good either. I saw only one urn, so those who wanted decaf seemed to be out of luck. Splenda and sugar were offered along with a couple of kinds of coffee whitener. If you wanted half and half you were--once again--out of luck. There were several other irritations--broken this and missing that but it's not worth detailing every little thing. All in all, I was pretty disappointed in our stay at Holiday Inn & Suites McKinney-North Allen. A once great franchise has slipped considerably.
This establishment has been the best Hilton experience I have ever had. Traveling to Texas for work frequently is always draining. However the amazing staff at Home2Suites was phenomenal. From the friendly amazing smile from Krystyn at the front desk, to the fast and friendly housekeeping that makes sure everything is meticulously clean and comfortable! I will definitely consider this hotel when I come back for personal trips!

I stayed at the Courtyard over what appeared to be a skating competition. The hotel was busy but not overwhelming. It's close to everything you could possibly want or need shopping, activities, dining, nightlife, etc. The rooms was clean and well-appointed and the service was friendly. I highly recommend. Would stay again. Thank you, Courtyard, for a great stay!
Breakfast is good, it is suitable to arrange shopping next to Allen Ole, can bring children, there is free parking, far from the city center, 40 minutes by car
