Very Good
VVedatOn the journey short-term booked online and checked in a few hours later. Normal Holiday Inn Express. All in all good, except on the tape in the gangs. These could urgently need cleaning. Rooms were as usual. Bad in good. Beds good. Climate also good. Only the walls seem to be thin. I could hear the conversations of the residents from the neighbouring room. The volume of the conversation was also very high, perhaps also because.
For a night good. Price performance was very good. Compared to the hotels nearby the hotel was very cheap.
GGuest UserStayed a week on business. My room was cleaned every day. Breakfast was good. No issues at all. Staff was very nice and always greeted me when I came or left the hotel. This will be my go to hotel when I have to stay in the area.
NNittfanI chose this hotel because it was CHEAP, close to Harrisburg International Airport, and reviews here & on competitor’s websites were largely positive. Let me start by saying the gentleman who checked me in was friendly & efficient and wished me a good stay. The hotel is quite antiquated & I believe it MAY be populated by a transient population. I personally experienced no problems with this, but the immediate hotel grounds are sketchy looking. This hotel is a retro hotel and pretty dilapidated. The window blinds had cracks in them, no deadbolt on the door (flimsy chain lock only), old looking bedspreads and curtains, paper thin/dingy looking towels, cracks around the tub/shower tiles. Lightfixtures from the 60's. The floors were some kind of wood laminate or lacquered plywood that felt somewhat sticky to my bare feet. On the plus side, they do have the room well equipped with a coffee maker, small fridge, small toothpaste AND 2 toothbrushes, soap/shampoo, an iron/ironing board, big widescreen TV and cable, modern charging station adjacent to the bed, and the heat worked well. The bed was ok, the pillows were poor. (I pulled the bedspread off the bed - while it might have been clean it was just too retro/old looking for me to trust it’s cleanliness). I did not use the shower or any facilities other than the tv. I slept ok because I was exhausted. It is obvious that the cleaning staff does a decent job of keeping the room as clean as possible, given the quality level of the hotel/room. I will say it was quiet here overnight, and the area surrounding the hotel is not ”sketchy” as there is really nothing much around! It would be very hard to find at night without GPS. If you are looking for a very inexpensive hotel in the area & have no need for the safety/amenities provided by most chain hotels, you may like the place. They seem to be trying to provide good value at a low price.
GGuest UserWe came to Pennsylvania to enjoy the weekend. Booked a room at a nearby hotel and wasn't pleased. So I immediately started to do whatever I could to stay at this hotel once I saw it. And they did what they could to ensure I was able to get a room for my family and ensured we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. It turned the whole trip around for us. My family was pleased. And we shall return
For the price it's an okay hotel. Take your own bath towels if you like large ones that dry you easily. Theirs are thin and small. The floors aren't even, and you can tell that when you walk between the bathroom and the bedroom. Breakfast is what you would expect - cereal, pancakes, bananas. They didn't have anything except powdered cream for the coffee.
Very dated looking Motel 6. Building has obviously not seen a renovation in many years. And it shows. Very convieniant to the highway, however when we first pulled in wondered if we had made a mistake ... Man at the window was pleasant and informative , the swimming pool probably has not been used in years, and it shows. Our room was on the 3rd floor , and there is only 1 hot elevator in the middle of the building. For what we paid the room was ok, and were only there for a place to sleep, so ok with low thrills. Room was clean (except for the deceased roach on the tv stand) , the beds were comfy despite the well stained bed linens that need replaced, and there was no refrigerator or hair dryer. No room service, but thats a covid thing I think, you had to take your towels or whatever needed attention to the walk up window and they would replace them. But again, for what we paid , it wasn't bad.
