CCherub2379Upon check in room 729 : Absolutely No help at front desk! Not welcoming at all. The lady there, did not smile. Did not ask anything, she had a reaction of disgust on her face, almost seemed a bit ******. Normally I am used to hearing some level of greeting. There was absolutely nothing here. Truly have never been treated so badly before. I was charged an additional $586.00 for the stay. Totalling to $1,961.33. Not a single receipt in sight. I stayed 19-23 Oct 2023. I was also held at reception for over 2hrs resulting to me missing Uber which got cancelled and was charged for I then missing the event I came to the states for. Absolutely No sense of remorse from the staff or so called reception manager. The air conditioning in the room constantly made a humming sound. Sleep quality was very poor. I would have provided this feedback, if someone one asked We were lugging our luggage and struggling with the hotel door. There was no attempt being made to hold the door for us. I understand you do not have porter service. But what stops you to help someone with the door?. Never staying here again and I do not recommend it!!! I demand a receipt and I’m demanding my money back or I inform the police. It’s as simple as that!

JJaunting Around TownMe and my wife did an overnight at the Circle Hotel Fairfield while attending a local event.
The service people at the front desk were very nice and helpful, and there was someone staffing it overnight. They were also training new staff while we were there, but there was always someone experienced there to ensure good service.
We had a dual-queen sized room as it was what fit our budget with the Trip.com discounts.
We stayed in building 2 which is a very short walk from the main building.
The room was spacious, basic but nicely enough decorated, and nicely clean-enough, though the toilet seat had been through some things and maintenance should have replaced it, but it wasn't broken. I let the front desk know and they said they'd have it addressed.
The room had basic amenities (2 free bottles of water was nice), coffee maker, Ironing board iiron, soap, shampoo/conditioner/bodywash, tissue box, etc. A closet with a few hangers It could have used more hangers and it would have been nice to have a suitcase stand.
No dresser/drawers, and no phone.
There was a serviceable mini-fridge.
We didn't use the TV so I can't comment on it.
There wasn't a book with local businesses listed or deals for them, etc.
The front desk area has a little shop you can buy overpriced neccesities and drinks.
There's a pool out back that looks nice.
There's also a nice lounge area inside and chairs/tables to relax outside out back.
There was a decent breakfast layout, but it's mostly a variety of bread stuffs/carbs - not diabetic or keto friendly. They did have hard boiled eggs, fruit, and hot cereal packets so there are meager non-carb options. There was also cereals, sugar-sweetend yogurts, and a variety of drinks including coffee and juices. The make-it-yourself waffles were a nice touch. I would have liked bacon or sausage, but overall for the room rate it was a nice breakfast layout.
We'd ordered food at night from Seamless and got a delivery to our room door with no problem. Note: Restaurants close early in the area, but there's a nearby 24hr McDonalds that's drive-through and order-only after 10pm.
There's also a decent diner open right next to the hotel during the day. And shopping center across the road.
If you don't feel like driving, the local main street bus stops right in front of the hotel on either side of the street going in both directions. Great if you're checking out the local brewery, which also has good food and was an A+ experience.
Just make sure you have quarters for the bus. $1.75 per person gives you a 2-hour ”unlimited” pass to use the local busses in either direction.
Overall, we liked our stay and would stay again in the future if the price is right. Compared to our experiences with similar hotels, under $140 was just right for our room as they had minimal business and it was nicely quiet. If they were busier, I'd expect $100 to $120 deal, and very busy, maybe less..

GGuest UserWe arrived and found our room wasn't the one we had booked. We went downstairs after going out for dinner and asked if we were in a Wellbeing Room. The receptionist said no, we had only booked deluxe. We were able to show her our booking.com booking which clearly stated Wellbeing Room. She said 'well you can move if you want' I said yes please, and specifically mentioned the mirror that was supposed to be in the room and how we were looking forward to it. We moved and the room had only one feature of the Wellbeing Room - an air filter. No ”the Mirror” or Wellbeing pack. There was also only one towel for 4 people. Upon questioning where the other things were we were told only Suites has mirrors and that the Wellbeing packs ”weren't ready yet” Why sell a product you can't deliver. Please amend your advertising material. The shelves in the room were broken, the drawers didn't close because the unit was so skewed. Even when we asked for more towels they gave us 2 for 4 people. The plug didn't work so we couldn't bath our children until they sent a new one the next day. The floor was filthy and we couldn't let the kids touch it, they had to play on the beds only. Some staff were brisk and cold but some were lovely. There is a club lounge on level 10 that is dirty with a fridge full of old food and drinks, maybe the staff use it? I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you get a good price and expect a 2 star hotel

GGuest UserThe surrounding environment of the hotel is very good. There are churches and other places to go around. It is within walking distance of the railway station and supermarket. There are also restaurants nearby, and it is not far from New Haven and New York.

GGuest User+Lobby staff & management were very friendly, efficient, and negotiable with our extended stay. Always quick to address any concerns or questions.
+Cleaning staff came daily unless asked otherwise, keep rooms very clean and tidy.
+Close to downtown area - around five minutes driving, around 15 minutes walking - with lots of parking space available.
+Free breakfast in the morning!
+Good, strong WiFi connection available - very briefly lost Internet once in two weeks.
+Dog-friendly with reasonable rates!
Hotel, as a whole, seemed dated as others have said. My partner and I made many a joke to it looking like The Shining. We didn't mind, but something to note.
The free breakfast had a limited selection. Don't expect full buffets, just something to get you through the morning 'til lunch.
We didn't get the chance to use the facilities (laundry, gym), but they were offered.
-The beds were hard and were uncomfortable to us. We needed to purchase a foam mattress to make sleep more bearable, as our hips and backs started to hurt after the first two nights.
-The elevators broke down more than a few times during our stay. Thankfully they worked on check-out day, otherwise we would have been in trouble!
OVERALL: For the price and location, we were very happy with our stay! Love the staff, attentiveness and consistency. Just wished they had better beds and less temperamental elevators. Even with the dated appearance, if you need a place to stay, this place does the job for a price that won't burn your wallet. We recommend!

GGuest UserHotel seemed more rundown than when I stayed there before the pandemic. Got there late at night (nearly 11 pm) and left early (by 7:30 am). Only interacted with one person at front desk. He did the bare minimum - checked me in & gave me a room key, but did not mention any hotel amenities. My booking was for a king bed but I was assigned a room with 2 double beds - no explanation was offered. After I got to my room, I found there were no vending machines on the 2nd floor. Guests have to go to the front desk pantry. It would have been helpful if I'd known that when I checked in. Also, the parking lot was full; I had to drive to a poorly lit area at the back, park there and then walk around the building in the dark to the front desk. Altogether, it was certainly not a typical Hilton experience!

GGuest UserTive muitos problemas para conseguir dormir na única noite que permaneci no hotel no terceiro andar e no final do corredor (06/11/2021). Logo no check-in e apesar de ter pago o hotel com antecedência, tive de depositar por volta US$ 70,00 para segurança do hotel. Isso é muito complicado para quem tem cartão de crédito internacional, e não foi avisado no momento da reserva. O aquecedor fazia um barulho impossível e apesar da noite fria, tivemos de desligar para reduzir os sons. Daí percebemos o ruído no banheiro. A descarga disparava de quando em quando. O som era abafado, por isso demoramos para entender que o problema estava no banheiro da unidade e não na coluna. Em não conseguindo apoio dos funcionários do hotel, ligamos para um amigo que conhecia de hidráulica, e por volta de 1:30 am conseguimos desligar a água (ficamos sem descarga automática. Ainda restou o chuveiro pingando....Bem, conseguimos dormir por volta das 2:30 am. Fizemos as reclamações no check-in, às 11:00 am no dia 07/11/2021. Fomos informados que a gerência entraria em contato no dia 08/11/2021. Isso ainda não aconteceu (hoje é 16/11/2021). Para piorar, eu esqueci um vestido de festa no quarto (longo, branco e com desenhos em preto). Logo que cheguei em casa e desarrumei a mala, no dia 07/11/2021, percebi a ausência do vestido e enviei um e-mail para hotel avisando sobre o fato e informando que eu iria buscar no dia seguinte. Qual não foi a minha tristeza: além de não responderem o e-mail, o vestido NÃO foi encontrado. O funcionário se desculpou e só. Fizemos um depósito para proteger o hotel e não fomos ao menos cuidadosamente atendidos. Viajo muito e jamais passei por isso no Brasil, na Europa ou mesmo em hotéis menos pontuados aqui nos EUA. Aguardando contato dos representantes do EVEN HOTEL NORWALK até hoje.

GGuest UserI haven't been here since before COVID so I'm considering that in this review. I think they have made zero improvements since 2019. I checked in to find out that there were no bottles of water. It was a good thing I brought my own and I'm a Gold Honors member. The front desk worker was very nice and pleasant. But the rooms are getting very old and are in a dire need of a makeover.

MMrsCurrier19Not the worst place I've ever stayed at but definitely could use some help. Very poorly cleaned. Ashes on the hand rail in bathroom, stains on the sheets, and i dont even know what is on the wall or the ceiling! It was a smoking room so there was burn holes in the duvet as well. Long black hair everywhere! Trash from the previous guest was found in our bathroom. It was cheap and were just passing through.
