A very contemporary and not well thought out room design with one chair, no lamps by the bed, the soap dispenser in the shower was empty for two days, the light switches make a loud clicking sound when turned off or on, not like a regular switch at home that is quiet, the sliding door for the bathroom toilet shower area runs into the wall with speed and force causing a banging sound against the tile baseboard. Not easy to be quiet when someone is sleeping. In addition, no parking available, so a valet and $35 per night should be added to the cost. We had a room that overlooks the lake and the train track, which is well used. Between the bar music downstairs and the train, it's not a very peaceful stay. The two elevator system to enter the hotel and then to the rooms was confusing and I got sick of being an elevator flunkie at the end of two days. the lobby is cold and inhospitable with metal chairs and tables, low seating and neon lighting. I made the reservation with a date to cancel by, and the date after the cancellation date I received an email describing the parking situation that costs $35 per night, not including the valet tip for every entry and exit, and the possible noise issue with a promise to move the room to a quieter location if it's troublesome. We tried to get breakfast in the hotel as there were two restaurants, and neither are open in the am. there us a kitchen in the lobby where you can have a breakfast sandwich made, but its not anything I would do again. I did find parking right across the street for $17 per night and a self serve booth. The restaurant on the main level, Lagos, was excellent, although pricey. The staff was excellent, friendly, helpful. It's like a hotel designed by a 20 something self described designer that doesn't have a lot of experience staying at a hotel. Kind of a swing and a miss but I guess the location is good for the newly developing downtown area.
This hotel is in need of an complete refurbishment, and is not up to Hilton Garden Inn standards. I’ve stayed at several HGI’s over the years, and have always expected very clean and comfortable rooms with no issues. I’ve stayed at this property back in 2014 when I visited Cleveland and it was very clean and well-maintained. It seems to have declined since then. First off, our room was not very clean. The tile floor was dirty; my socks turned black after walking on that floor. Also, the desk was greasy. In other words, it seemed Housekeeping only changed the bedding, cleaned the bathroom fixtures, and emptied the trash. Those were seemingly clean. The carpet also could use a shampooing as well. But, the biggest issue was the toilet didn’t have enough “swirly action.” We had to call for a plunger twice during our two night stay. There were some obnoxious drunks roaming the hallway at 3 AM banging on our door and other doors, and screaming. My mother was rather scared by this. The hotel is located in a fringe area on the edge of downtown, and there are some homeless people that hang around in the vicinity. It’s not an area I’d wander around at night—especially if there are no Guardians baseball games. The hotel is extremely convenient to Progressive Field, and is a great location for catching Guardians games. It is also close to Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse—home to the Cavaliers. The Staff were friendly and helpful, so I don’t think it’s their fault. The hotel needs better management and a complete refurbishment. It is not a bad hotel, but if considering staying here please consider other options before choosing.

The location is very good, close to the city center**. The house looks old, but the facilities are clean and well-equipped, and the staff are very professional. Very quiet and praised. TV is also very good
#positive #I was happy with the Value for Money, Toiletries, Location, Nearby Shops, Soundproofing, Bed Comfort Level; The front desk service of the hotel is good, and the room is clean and clean? The hotel facilities are relatively complete, come again next time. Traveling to see friends, it is convenient to choose here! Recommended hotel! It is not convenient to register at the front desk until 0:00.
Overall a wonderful stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was soft and wonderful and the shower was above expectation. The only negative of the stay was the check in process. I arrived about 45 minutes early and had called ahead about an early check in. I was told to go to the desk when I arrived and they would check to see if a room was available. The woman working check in was extremely rude not only to me but to others in line as well. She refused to see if rooms were ready for people arriving and just told them check in wasn’t until 4 and they had to come back. She told me I didn’t have a reservation and made me search frantically for my reservation which she did end up finding. She blatantly ignored peoples questions by just looking away and not answering them. As the first point of contact for guests this was a major negative. Other than her, everyone I encountered was extremely friendly and welcoming. My only recommendation would be to have breakfast available before 7am since many people have to leave early for appointments and therefore don’t get to eat.
I have been staying here for months, and this is hands down the WORST hotel chain in North America; honestly, I would expect better service at a Motel 6. If you are heading into town, I would recommend The Crown Plaza; it’s cheaper and much nicer; the amenities are 1000X nicer, they have hot food, and the staff is not RUDE, LAZY, or STUPID; heck you can go down the road five minutes and stay at The Best Western Plus for $50 a night and have much better amenities and a well-trained staff. It really shows what larger chains offers when it comes to Human Resources and Training Programs, and their parent company is heading into bankruptcy; hence why their prices are too high. I have several hundred hotels stays under my belt, and a hotel lobby should be welcoming and inviting, this one looks like a large storage closet/abandoned building/war bunker. They have stacked up furniture everywhere, garbage/empty boxes all over the place, and 10+ signs saying no guest access. Then when you get into the staff, it gets WORSE, much WORSE. Carla, The President/CEO of Sonesta Hotels (in her mind), has absolutely no business being in Guest Services, and you have to deal with her STUPIDITY, RUDENESS, and LAZINESS 80% of the mornings here; and talk about getting your day off to a HORRIBLE start; and it’s a race situation since I am white. If you need to get anything complete and she is working, your best bet is to wait till she leaves for the day or find a work around. She will literally talk in circles and confuse you, just so she can avoid doing any type of labor (she actually steals your intelligence and drive), she gets ANGRY when she has to get off her chair; grant it, she is normally sleeping in that chair, hiding behind a sign; hence why I was order not to use the dinning-room/war bunker entrance for coffee, and instead have to walk all the way around the building in the cold (she can’t hear me come in when I use the dining room entrance). I had an employee STEAL a package delivery, and then I got stuck working with the WORSE management team in the world. I was accused 6 different times of running a scam for $48; Please, I make 5x that in the amount of time it took to correct the PETTY THEFT. Santo demanded proof the package was delivered, which I supplied immediately, then 3 messages at the Front Desk and 1 phone call later zero response, I finally called corporate, sure enough, Santo calls the next morning ANGRY because I call corporate. When I first got here two months ago, I stayed right next to the noisy highway that pours pollution out, can’t be healthy, so I moved to the other side of the property, when I checked in the first time, I was given one key, on the second one, I was given two keys by Elissa. With the known THEFT problem here, I was straightening up for the 3rd time, since housekeeping was a no-show/no-call for two appointments earlier that week, and realized, I better grab that second room key before housekeeping STEALS it, low
What an amazing visit at this amazing hotel! We were greeted by a wonderful man at the door to valet our car and another helped me with my luggage with a luggage cart. I’m terrible at grabbing names but the valet guy was there for the whole stay and he was very helpful! The hotel rooms are beautiful with plenty of room and one of a kind bathrooms! The ladies at front desk helped us with checking in and getting the complimentary scooters for the kiddos they provide. We explored the city with these. Hotel is a great location with everything being a 10 minute walk from all activities in downtown Cleveland. Thanks to the whole Kimpton Team for this experience!! Can’t wait to stay here again!

Cleveland, a beautiful city on the edge of the Great Lakes, accidentally saw a lot of tigers in the Year of the Tiger. The hotel is big and clean, and the breakfast is standard American breakfast.

GGuest UserGreat & super clean king size room facing the Cathedral and ”❤” light City building. Awesome staff and General Manager Louis. Super helpful and professional. Good breakfast for on the go. Perfect walking 5- 15 minutes walking from the majority downtown attractions like East 4th Street for food & shopping, Rock & Roll Hall of fame, the waterfront, the freedom stamp. Quick taxi or longer walk to Football stadium, NASA science center, Civic center, Library, ******, and the Flats. Had a lovely time discovering downtown area of Cleveland good vibes from everyone!
HHONGJUNThe degree of hygiene needs to be improved, although the breakfast variety is not too much, it can fully meet the demand. Valet parking service is also ok, 19-knife one-day parking fee, tipping in the morning when picking up the car, it is quite convenient. The suite is large and the service response is slow. There is a fitness center and there is no swimming pool.
GGuilfordThe bed was the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in. Our room was quiet and very clean, but the best part of our stay was the delicious complementary breakfast. We travel a lot and we always dread the free breakfast. They're usually stale doughnuts and weak coffee. The Holiday Inn Express, downtown Cleveland has a wonderful free breakfast buffet. Sausage gravy and biscuits, French toast, pancakes, pork sausage links, turkey sausage patties, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, four kinds of juice, hot coffee, chocolate and white milk, toast, bagels, pastries and oatmeal. We will stay here whenever we're in Cleveland. We love this place!
GGuest UserThe hotel is very unique and the staff members are super friendly. Especially the bartenders and James and John the shuttle drivers. The shuttle is so convenient and takes you in a 2 mile radius. The only negative was the elevators were not working properly so you had to wait for a staff member take you up or down. The friendly staff helped make up for the elevator inconvienence. And the food was delicious!

GGuest UserAll of the staff was friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking very close. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Dining and entertainment right outside of the door. Great selection for breakfast. Checking in and out was very easy and fast. Thank you!
GGuest UserParts of our stay were great - we arrived late at night and were warmly welcomed by the man working the front desk. He set us up quickly with extra bedding and got us on the shuttle list. The room was spacious and well laid out The shuttle to the airport was packed and a little frantic, but otherwise fine. It was a quick drive to the airport. When we arrived back from our trip we found that the 4 catalytic converters were stolen from our truck while it was in the parking lot. This was an important reminder to us that a) the parking lot is not secured by a fence and b) there was not parking lot security. Our recommendation is not to stay and park here if you want secure, patrolled parking.
AaimrMy child is studying at Case Western Reserve, so I booked this hotel. This hotel is in the city of Cleveland, about 5 kilometers away from Case. The hotel is also located in the school area, opposite the various buildings of Cleveland State University. The hotel has a large parking lot and multiple dining facilities nearby, which makes it convenient to eat. The hotel itself provides breakfast in the morning, which is simple and effective. The hotel itself is on Euclid Street, and Case Western Reserve is also on the same street, so it is convenient to drive all the way down. The accommodation experience is still good.
GGuest UserHotel is well located - only a few minutes from the city centre and not far from Lake Erie. Not very friendly. Rooms size ok - not very attractively furnished. Rooms quite cold and very noisy (airport, Amtrak,..) There is a free shuttle service in the city centre. Self-parking is possible at charge.
GGuest Userdorel radoiu 1/5 Paid in full when booked with parksleepfly.com for 2 nights stay and 1week parking having the airport shuttle included per description. When arrived at hotel nightmare started Called 2 days prior arrival to confirm I’ll have a shuttle at 4am When got at the location I was handed a voucher to call a shuttle company which told me they can come to pick me up before ,,about’’ 4:45 After I hit to the room I open up my online banking to make a payment for an outstanding bill And noticed a charge from the hotel for another 144$ even my stay was paid in full they told me they need my credit card for incidentals which I understood not from that to charging me on the spot for incidentals when I just checked in … it’s a long way I decided I cannot risk just getting a cab in the morning so I left together with my car at 3 am and used parknfly service Nightmare continued 2 days after I noticed 2 more charges in my credit card account from comfort inn one of 122.43 and one of 122.73 Called the hotel and tried to sort it out I was told all the charges are reversed Partially true because the charge of 122.73 is still in my account and I am still good to pay it. So Beware poor service dirty room and credit card scam ! If this is the way this business is surviving all I can say is Shame on you! Trip typeVacation Rooms1.0Service1.0Location2.0
