Room was nice, but the bathroom could have been cleaner. Queen beds were not an option, just double beds. Very few guests, so we had the pool area all to ourselves. Breakfast didn’t last long enough for my family. Staff was very kind.
This hotel is out of control. There were children of all ages running around the hotel the ENTIRE night, throwing garbage, running and screaming through the halls, racing and crashing luggage carts up and down the halls, knocking on doors and running away ALL night. The hotel staff refused to intervene and literally stated, ”There's nothing we can do.”. There was garbage all over the hotel and groups of drunk, belligerent adults openly drinking in the lobby and in the hotel hallways. The pool was full of unattended children of all ages, which is so sickeningly unsafe, and the staff did nothing to intervene. As a Hilton Honors member for more than 10 years, I have never experienced anything even remotely like this at any other Hilton property. Entirely inexcusable. The hotel staff at the desk even told us it was like that every weekend and a child actually pushed a staff member the weekend before and caused a spinal fracture to the employee. He just kept saying he wished he could help, but there was nothing he could do. There are a lot of other hotels in the area, and I would advise staying at one of them.
Not the best Staybridge. The only upside was the young man who is the overnight manager - Jacob. He was the nicest employee - engaging, professional, personable, helpful. We checked in after driving 800 miles. The women at the front were not friendly or engaging. The woman who checked us did not know which hallway we should use closest to our room. We ended up parking on opposite side based on her suggestion. Okay easy mistake but there were no luggage wheelies carts so ended up lugging bags to second floor. Room was over the pool - big mistake. Kids screaming. I should have switched rooms but we were unpacked and exhausted. The bed was not neatly made when we entered the room - slightly messy. Room was small and there are no accessible electrical outlets on one side of bed. Room is drab , run down, and needs an overhaul, like the hotel. The hotel’s walls are nicked, chipping. The rugs are dirty and torn. The bed was comfortable. But the room noisy. I enjoy Staybridge Suites but with the exception of Jacob, not an overall positive review.
We had two rooms and both were very comfortable, well-maintained and spotless as was the rest of the hotel. The staff was very professional and helpful and the breakfast was better than average. The location was close to the University and many restaurants and stores with a Meijer right across the street. Next time we are in South Bend we will definitely stay here.

Overall, the lobby and general bedroom were clean and nice. The workout room was first class. The problem was the bathroom in our room was unclean. The floor had several hairs, tissue in the corner, and the shampoo dispenser pump was broken. Also, our door deadbolt did not work. I did not discover this until late that night. I informed the front desk the next morning. Instead of waiting until we checked out, the repairman came and repaired the lock while leaving our door wide open and tools in our bedroom..........kinda strange in my book.

Our stay was ok I say ok because the general manager of the hotel has been less than accommodating my wife daughter and emotional support animal checked in a few days ago room was great..one day my daughters toy ran out of batteries I asked the general manager if he had more he replied yes and just before he was about to give them to me he asked me what were they for so I explained there for my daughters toy it just ran out of batteries he then put the batteries back in the drawer and pointed me to Walgreens..the same day I found out the room we are in doesn't even lock I mentioned this to the general manager who says he wasn't aware of the door not being locked so I said ok can you switch us to another room on the 1st floor due to the emotional support animal he's then says we only have one room on 4th floor; so then I said that's to high when you do have a first floor can you let us know..I mean the area is real sketchy so I just wanted my wife and daughter to feel safe..so the next morning comes I get up and see the housekeeper getting her cart together so I walk out the room to get towels I notice the housekeeper board standing upright on her cart to where I can read it from stepping out my door the housekeeper had two rooms on first floor vacant dirty which means they just checked out this morning or she rolled them from yesterday..so knowing this information I proceed to the front desk where the general manager is and told him I need my room changed he proceeded to lie and say Thier was nothing available I told him I seen the housekeeping board and it said Thier are a couple vacant dirty rooms on the first floor he immediately gets defensive then he starts saying he doesn't know if the room will be cleaned then I replied shouldn't a non locking door in your hotel be first priority? Why didn't you mention it to the one housekeeper you have when she started her day then he replied you can leave and get a refund if you don't like it is this the way you guys conduct business I mean your main job is to accommodate guests staying at your hotel I mean the general manager made us feel like we weren't welcome here

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is quiet and spacious. Too late passengers have a phone at the front desk, pick up it will ring, you can contact the staff. Very cost-effective hotel.
GGuest UserThis is an older hotel and has a rough, gruff exterior, this is an easy hotel to just ”pass by” but its a pretty good value despite it not being the most glamourous motel around. I got here around 7pm at night and checked in, the staff is nice enough but not overly kind, they do their job well enough. The room I got was modest enough for one night, plain, but hey its a room doesn't have to be fancy, room is slightly dated, but looks pretty good considering how old this hotel is. They are pet friendly so there is some wear and tear on the furniture in the room. Bathroom smells a little cruddy but hey its a bathroom. This is a fairly nice place to stay, gets the job done, didn't eat breakfast here so don't have anything to say about that. With Quality Inn you get what you pay for so you cant really complain, lol. But if you have pets this is your place.
GGuest UserCN, the owner is the best. He is always welcoming and happy to see us. He has done a great job since the remodel and the place is in great shape. Rooms are clean and bed and pillows comfy. Friendly staff, even the delightful housekeeping couple! Nice variety on the breakfast buffet and good coffee. We will return for the football season of 2022. We had problems with our TV and the staff was very helpful until they fixed it.
