Our room was clean and comfortable. Cleaning & service staff efficient & courteous. First warning should have been when I did not receive an e-mail confirmation of our phone reservation. It was made by calling the hotel directly but was re-routed to a third party phone bank. Thankfully, I 'd recorded our reservation confirmation number. Across from our room were major repairs with floor to ceiling taped plastic, which partially blocked the hallway access along with industrial de-humidifying blowers working continuously. Our room was thankfully quiet enough to muffle the exterior noise. I asked clarification regarding extra ”breakfast charges” 4 times, upon booking, a confirmation call, check-in and again with the breakfast hostess. I was told each time our breakfast (one morning for husband & myself) would be included. or charges removed upon check out and for CC billing. I politely asked for correction of this at check out - yet the manager refused to remove our morning breakfast charges. She was stern, unbending, and provided a written phone number for me to to call ”corporate” to discuss resolution. We left thinking this would be a leson learned and hopefully a simple fix. This number turned out to be a credit card scam stationed out of the country. (Yes, I did dial the number she wrote down correctly.) Once I realized I'd been deceived, after authorizing to pay the hotel charges with my bank, I had to cancel my credit card to avoid any further charges from the phone scam. My bank recommended this once I explained the scenario and deception. Be cautioned until more honorable customer service management is in practice at this hotel. I was unguarded in this circumstance - placing trust in the Hilton name, reputation, and past excellent experiences with Hilton facilities elsewhere.

First time I stayed at the property and my impression of the lobby with the Texas A&M logo in front of the fireplace. The hotel is not a upscale , but it is easy location to campus and the King Size beds had all the amenities I needed. I'm glad they had restaurants close by that I could walk to and grab some dinner. The price were reasonable compared to other properties I had seen on the internet. I will be coming back to stay again at the Econolodge College Station.

The web page of holiday Inn has a loop with Android phone and every time you select the travel dates it change it to the actual date. So my dates were wrong. I arrived 30 min prior the end of the wrong date and the hotel took advantage of it and instead of letting me know, they skip all procedures and gave me a room. I went to a tournament and when I returned at night the room was taken by other guests. When I went to the front desk. They made me pay for 2 extra rooms as at that moment they did have more rooms. If they were honest in the first approach I wouldn't have to pay for 2 rooms. The lady that was in the night shift told me to fight for my money as there were many wrong procedures during my first check in. Some of my kids belongings get lost (we didn't notice until we arrive home because they thought they were at home). I have been reaching customer service for 2 week. The hotel manager has been lying saying she has contacted me. They only contacted me when I gave a bad review at Google saying that nothing was lost as if she know that I am missing. They never fill the lost and found so they don't have a clue of what was in the room. I have been asking for answers and she denied to answer. The only way she answers is with bad reviews. I am sorry I have to do this but is the truth and she has no way to profit different.
KKen SWhen you step onto the 4th floor, you're assaulted by the smell of cigarettes, even though it's supposedly a non-smoking hotel. And on the night of August 14th, I really, really needed working Wi-Fi to get my daughter's new laptop going - and it wasn't. It didn't work until the next day. The rooms are awesome in size, and in good condition. However, the carpet felt greasy under my bare feet (gross!). Also, there was no way to aim the air coming from the air conditioner, and as the one closest to it I was either slightly too cold or slightly too hot at all times, depending on whether the compressor was running or not.
