Staff were friendly. Information in the room on resort and room etc would be helpful. The kitchen needs to be upgraded along with other outside areas. Nets were too small for bed.
A great relaxing spot in the middle of a busy city. Breakfast was included and was good.

The hotel is in a strategic location, be sure to ask for the golf course side to avoid noise from traffic. Interior of the rooms is perfect, nice bathtub, warm water, hair dryer and carpet.
The only annoying bit was ordering for food via intercom, Restuarant respondent wasn’t friendly and seemed to struggle with English. I asked to use the wine glasses from the bar but was asked to pay 10,000 for using the wine glasses.
During the COVID curfew time (7pm), you will struggle to access an open supermarket coz it’s CBD area.
I would surely check-in anytime. Price was amazingly low coz I booked online at trip.com

I stayed here on business for 5 nights and it was excellent. From the Comms from front desk to taxi pick up to security staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The restaurant is open to the public and always busy and lively. Food was good standard and good price. Service was outstanding. The security guys ordered taxis and went out to get me a couple of beers on the first night as I arrived after the bar shut at midnight. The gym is well equipped with newish equipment. Breakfast was buffet style and delicious. I’ve stayed in Kampala about 5 times and without a doubt this is my favourite hotel. Thank you Joseph and team for making my stay such a pleasure!

Simply amazing! Gladys and Matthew were absolutely lovely, very friendly and helpful. The place is brand new, modern, very unique in terms of decoration and spotless clean. Spacious living room and bedroom. Totally safe and quiet at any time of the day and night, thanks to its position away from the noisy main road, but just 5 minutes walk from it, where to find everything you need… Central Kampala is less than 20 minutes trip and very well connected.
Definitely my place when back in Kampala. Thanks Gladys and Matthew for the perfect stay!

I visited Mestil in January 2024 for a work trip and fell in love with the ambience, culture, welcome, environment and food. Great service too. Clean rooms, quick service, excellent culinary experience and the bar was amazing. The reception area was very relaxing and gives a great customer engagement. Set in a quiet suburb, I looked forward to getting back home!

GGuest UserI have been to Uganda so many times and have stayed in many hotels. This is the best one I have ever stayed in. There is no one! The location of the hotel is particularly good. It takes only a few minutes to drive to the nearest shopping mall Lugogo Mall. It is super convenient to buy things~
The hotel's restaurant is on the fifth floor. The Chinese food made by the local chef is very good. It feels like home. ! ! . The room was clean and tidy, and the golf course opposite could be seen directly on the balcony. The bed was very comfortable, the surrounding was very quiet at night, and the sleep was particularly fragrant.
The staff's service attitude is superb, whether it is check-in or solve the problem quickly, it makes people feel particularly intimate.
I will choose it next time, recommended! ! recommend! ! !

Very Good
If you are travelling to downtown Kampala on budget, i think this property is worth your money. Parking space, elevator and stairs access are some of the things that stood out during my visit. The hotel has good number of guest rooms some with view of the city. For business and holiday travellers in groups will love this property. The restaurant serves a great menu of local dishes. And there is a small venue space for events.

Including the manager who offered to provide any help I might need getting around the city and the doorman who literally walked me to where I needed to go the next day. Great price. Good food. Room was fine. Beer came with a frosted glass - I shouldn't forget to mention that. That says it all.

SSapphirekoWe booked a one bedroom apartment. It was agreed in writing by email. On arrival on the agreed date we were told there were no one bedroom apartments available until the next day. So we were given a studio for the night. It was agreed there was no charge for that first night. The next day we went into a one bedroom apartment. It was reasonably OK but nothing in the kitchen actually worked. The cooker didn’t work. A cupboard door fell off. The oven didn’t work and so on. We were given a two ring gas hob as a temporary solution but it took up what little available space we had on the worktop. Despite being promised the cooker would be sorted the next day we were stuck with the “temporary” solution till we left. 13 days before our month was up, we asked to move to a two bedroom apartment. Staff were happy to arrange that but I was asked to pay $700 for the upgrade. I pointed out that $700 was the difference between a one bedroom and two bedroom apartment for the whole month. Surely as there were only 13 days left in our stay it would be fairer to pay, say, $350, instead of a full month’s difference of $700. This was out of the question, apparently. So, I told them we would leave at the end of the month instead of extending it to two months. We picked a two bedroom apartment with a washing machine. Big mistake. Not only did the washing machine not work but neither did both ovens nor the toaster etc. the “washing machine specialist” who came round was a 16 year old girl armed with just a screwdriver. She confirmed the washing machine was faulty - something we already knew. Next day two men came round to fix it. When we got back there was a note to say it had all been sorted. It hadn’t. It was still broken. So we complained again. The following morning, SEVEN people turned up with another washing machine. This one worked but, unfortunately the entire control panel was in Chinese with no English at all. The fridges in our original apartment and this later one had touch screen control panels but they were entirely in Chinese. I discovered they were also counterfeit LG fridges but that’s another story. We were given the temporary gas rings we had in the last apartment as the hobs didn’t work here either. So, when our month was up they were very surprised we were leaving. “What about your second month?” I was asked. Hmmm I thought I’d made it quite clear we weren’t staying when charged $700 for 13 days’ upgrade. So, nice location. But, we won’t be back any time soon.

VvictoriabU3647EJHaving had alight meal, we were ready to go, requested for the bill, after the bill was brought, we requested to confirm which type of payment to make. We were advised that we could pay by credit card, cash or mobile money. We requested to make payment using mobile money and they accepted. The payment number was confirmed and the name of the recipient. It was then that we initiated payment to the said number and payment was made in direct transfer and the waiter was witness to this. Despite having completed the payment with a payment confirmation, we were denied exit with reasons that payment hadn't been received. Gates were forcefully locked by untrained junior staff an act which got us terrified. We spoke to Chinese management who pretended not to know about the Ugandan mobile money payment systems. They started being abusive inclusive of their junior staff. But the payment was clearly showing cash had been transferred to a *MIN FANG*. This happened on 7th March 2020, Saturday evening at around 11:30pm. We believe this was a trick to try get us to make additional payment. It's not until we mentioned that we would put this incident on trip advisor that they opened the gates. It was a terrible experience after a good meal. Be aware of such tricks.
