I can’t say enough good things about this place! Love the vibe of the hotel, the people are cheerful and the food delicious. Recommend coming here to eat even if you aren’t staying here. Great roof top. The staff helped plan and book my excursions (which were great). Very personalized service. Turndown service - no photos of the cookies as I ate them too fast. Loved the fish and cheese charcuterie platter for breakfast. Ate it 3 out of 4 mornings. It was a little different everyday and I couldn’t get enough of it. Thank you to Tatu and the entire staff for a really lovely visit to Stone Town
The hygiene is very average. The bed feels unwashed. There are unknown hairs on the sheets. If you stay here, it is recommended to bring a disposable three-piece suit. You have to bring your own towels. They only provide a bed and a place to shower. There are a lot of flies in the dining area, and the beach behind is full of garbage and seaweed.
The service is very good, whether it is the front desk or the restaurant staff. The eggs for breakfast are not bad, and there are a few kittens.
The hotel is more business oriented then for leisure. overall we enjoyed our 4 nights stay, all the staff were professional and friendly. The Xmas eve and Xmas dinner was special and very well organised. Rooms were nice, large and well equipped with a very nice sea view. We were on Half board basis and the meals were of high standard and a good touch that soft drink was included, and really pleased with fresh coconut for breakfast. Transport to Airport was free and very efficient. Part of the hotel is very nice and some in our opinion was over done - too glitzy Beach walk was pleasant and a shame there is no night entertainment . Stonetown is not far and 20 min by taxi. We would recommend and stay in the hotel again
The front desk provided a room that was already occupied. When we checked in at 23:00 late at night and opened the door, a middle-aged man was already sleeping on the bed. The man was frightened and very angry. Similarly, we were also very frightened and felt very embarrassed. For such a misunderstanding, the front desk only apologized to the man, but did not apologize to us.
After changing rooms, our twin bed room was changed to a double bed room. The hotel did not explain this. Because it was late at night, we gave up changing beds and rested.
There was a musty smell in the room, and a bottle of mineral water was empty, and it was not cleaned. There were many flies flying around in the restaurant during breakfast.
I am very dissatisfied with this accommodation experience.
I have been to Hotel Verde several times, twice of which were business related. Unfortunately this time I was quite disappointed with the overall experience. While it wasn’t all bad, there is much more to be expected from such an establishment and I hope the management will take necessary actions to make this place wonderful again. Improvements needed: 1. Maintenance: The hotel seems to be suffering from poor maintenance. My bathroom ceiling had cracks, one of the wardrobe lights in the middle was broken/missing, the iron brought in to my room on request was broken and could not regulate heat therefore almost burning my shirt, the security hook on the iron made it difficult to take advantage of the iron cords length making it almost impossible to iron, the hangers in the wardrobe had a design fault such that you cannot remove them like other hotels to easily hang clothes like suits etc., the toilet left an odor in the whole bathroom after each flush despite closing the lid and the door. These are a few items I noted. 2. Staff Training: While the staff had an overall nice demeanor and very welcoming, they require some more training on providing an above and beyond experience to guests for a hotel of this caliber. A housekeeper promised to restock towels in my room in a short while which ended up being close to an hour and by then I had already used the in room bathrobe as an alternative to not miss an appointment I had. That was sloppy. The reception staff did not have a proper system of tracking what they held for guests especially during a time when multiple high level events are happening at the hotel causing a lot of anguish and confusion. items that were needed by noon 🕛 for a function were only later retrieved by 10pm resulting in a loss of productivity that those items were expected to have. Everyone seemed lost. 3. Slow WiFi: Not sure if it was just my room but the internet speed was on the slower side. These experiences made the stay this time a 2/5 for me. Hope the hotel will improve in the future.

Excellent
GGuest UserIt's a great experience. It's surrounded by scenic spots, but the small roads are a bit unsatisfactory. There are dirt roads, but the rest is pretty good.
GGuest UserThe hostel itself is great, the beds are comfy, there is aircon, breakfast is available at the second location nearby for 15.000 tsh, the showers are warm and clean, they also provide drinking water. However, there wasn’t many people staying there at all, this meant that it was kind of hard to connect with other solo travellers. It wasn’t vert much social at all. So if you’re looking for a social experience I don’t recommend staying here. The location however is great it’s in the middle of Stone Town meaning it is really easy to get anywhere in the area by foot, so for that purpose it is great! The staff was also super nice!
CCheng Chi KeungAntique hotel. On the path inside Stone City. Breakfast fruit buffet, coffee tea buffet. Breakfast order yourself. Mushroom beans are cooked. Egg queue. Bread toast. Very satisfied.
Radiotherapy is smaller. The hotel arranged a barge to pick up a tour to Guidao. Taxi is also arranged by the hotel. Cheap price.
SSashabreakfast is my only issue there its very poor but room ,bathroom was good it was quite l slept like a baby hot shower gives them high score but no kettle or water was not that good especially coming back from a hot day .otherwise the place is better than other places l slept in zanzibar
AAttila TheHunThe staff were very friendly and helpful, old style hostel but it was clean and some little hearts on the bed , small things to feel welcomed .
The breakfast was excellent. Fresh fruits , juice , eggs salad ,coffee , tea . We really enjoyed our stay .
we always stay at Hiliki when we go to Zanzibar, it's good value, comfortable, good location and very nice staff. Delicious breakfast and the team can organise fair price excursions. Definitely recommend if you're passing a few days in stone Town.
VvaalerWell, where to start, it's a budget hotel, it works, its central, breakfast is simple but ok, staff are always happy, wifi is stabil and works fine, we hd room 104....... if you don't mind a hotel next to as mosque then it great, we on the other hand didnt appreciate it and were woken up every morning at 5, would I recommend this hotel ? Yes I would, all in all there is no view and a mosque next door, but you get what you pay for, its cheap and works.rooms were clean and tidy, toilet was loose,....... so what for 30 bucks a night
GGuest UserI booked my stay in Stone Town for 1 night as I had a late flight. It was really cheap and really easy. The rooms were clean and the staff (Abdullah) was very helpful in booking airport transfers for me and my friend. What can sometimes be a stressful time was made easy and quick because the staff booked reliable taxis and they also had grear knowledge of the area. I was a little worried when the check-in time was for 14:00 because we arrived at 12-noon. However, the staff got a room ready for us very quickly and we manage to be able to put away our luggage in a locked room giving us few worries. For the price this place is a steal!!

Zanzibar
AAdventureswithelizaI recommend anyone to go to Zanzibar! especially stone town. Everyone thinks there’s not much to do here however there is and it’s also so beautiful as well as the rest of the island!
Stone Town
PPepita09The narrow streets are like a maze of history, and you can practically taste the culture in every corner. Stone Town's got that unbeatable charm.
House of Wonders
炙炙热的目光The Miracle House is on the coast of Zanzibar, a palace of pillar buildings. Now it's a museum. Despite years of disrepair and mottled land, some areas have collapsed. But from the high bell tower in the middle, the columns on both sides and the salute cannon in front of the door, we can still see the past brilliance.
Hamam Persian Baths
东东北小迷茫This is a very old building, it should be almost 200 years old, in the stone city, found through many alleys, it is really very vicissitudes. Business This is a historical witness to eight, look at European masterpieces
