In love with every single detail about this property. I would never mind spend all my life there. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. They suggested beautiful places to explore Tunis. We came late and haven’t bought dinner and they offered to us all the kitchen appliances and we cooked dinner. It was a fab experience 💙
Beautiful venue, great location and friendly staff.
Only downside is the area is extremely quiet at night and it can be a little intimidating trying to find your way back later in the evening.
The family hotel in the old town is relatively clean and the decoration is very characteristic. Go out and you can turn around in the corn field. Great for travellers who want to experience local flair

The Dar Kenza Tunis is one of the newest hotels in Medina de Tunis, having been renovated in 2022. Boasting a convenient location, the hotel is just 4km from Tunis Station and 13km from Tunis Carthage International Airport. Seeing Medina de Tunis's sights from this hotel is easy with Hammouda Pacha Mosque, Chott El Djerid and Dar El Jeld all close by. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings.
Beautiful hotel. Single room a little too small. Really accurate and precise service with towel change in the evening and room check. Only negative note they didn't call me for the wake up call even though I recommended it... I hope next time they give me a bigger room 😀
The location is in the center of Medina. You need to pass through the market to arrive. After all, it is an African country, which is a bit scary.
The room is very big and has a bathtub, which is luxurious
I had an allergy after eating breakfast. The hotel helped me call the doctor.
In the old city, parking is inconvenient, and it is inconvenient to drive yourself. There is no elevator, there is electric heating, and the shower station is very narrow in the bathtub. You can stay for one day to experience the life of the old city people, but multiple days are not recommended. It is a 10-minute walk from the main entrance of the old city. There are restaurants nearby that are convenient and cheap to eat. 1 roasted chicken + French fries + 2 baguettes + local salsa sauce, etc. 25 local currency is enough for 3 people.
Mixed review, but overall too pricy hostel for the quality of the service. Having a good location and a cute decoration isn’t enough. Pros and cons below :
Pros :
- Amazing location in the heart of the Medina ideally located
- Cute hostel with beautiful tiles
- Kind and helpful staff
Cons :
- The room we booked in advance was not available when we arrived. Instead of a double bed room, we were put in a bunk beds room with no explication or apologies. No solution, accommodations or compensation were offered to us afterwards. Very poor service from the hotel on that side and I saw online afterwards it’s not the first time they’re doing that
- Noisy hostel with no soundproof rooms at all. All the rooms are close to each other and open to the dining area with the breakfast starting at 7:30am and people coming back very late at night. Earplugs very much needed
- Average breakfast, the quality of the products is poor knowing what is available in the area. Be careful with water as some plastic bottles for breakfast are filled with tap water
- Be aware you’ll have to walk at least 5min in little paved streets after taking off your taxi and finding a taxi to leave the area won’t be always very easy
Versus decent place , staff are really friendly , very kind and polite. Many Foreigners from all over the world are staying in place.
They Accommodate for families they accommodate for couples they accommodate for women. Only there accommodate for men. Only men and women don’t mix of remix unless they have came as a group so very clean place very civilised place. I will definitely come back here again
