The scenery is beautiful, the seaside independent wooden house, but the facilities in the room are very simple and the sanitation is very general. The house is very hot during the day, and the air conditioning cannot completely cool down. There is a private beach and a swimming pool, the pool is not clean, but the children have a great time. The most surprising thing is that the hotel's private beach can be snorkeled in the sea, which is very fun. Eating can be in the hotel or in the hotel next door, there are few choices and the taste is average. All in all, if it is worth the price from the scenery, but if it is not matched by the facilities conditions.
This is a fantastic resort. It’s simple but nice and clean. The staff is really friendly and they can speak english. The part of the beach down the resort was the best part of the beach on Koh Ngai. The food was good but the breakfast could offer more option to vegans and vegetarians. We want to go back!
The hotel is located in a stunning location. The views are simply amazing. It is noticeable that the hotel has remnants of its former luxury, that it is ancient and has not been in operation for a long time. But the ratio of the price ($50 per night) with the service and the opening views of the island and the sea - only covers its shortcomings in the form of tired furniture. The choice of food is not very large, but we are not a picky customer. We were satisfied with everything, including breakfast included in the price and separate dishes that we ordered for lunch and dinner.
The staff is very friendly and fulfilled every request.
The downside is that there is no swimming beach, but after walking 1 kilometer along the beach, we realized that there are no ideal beaches on this side. And all the five hotels that were along the road are suffering just as much as we are, only the price is higher there.
Another minus is that the room we chose near the pool is high up and it’s hard to climb up the steps into it, but this effort is rewarded with a mesmerizing view from the room or the pool.
We spent most of the time at the pool, because... Swimming on the beach is not very comfortable. But I think that we are lucky, because... we were alone there. Completely alone, there were only 5 people in the hotel, together with us, and we saw other people a couple of times. It was gorgeous, chilling in the pool with the coolest views of other islands and watching the birds fly from tree to tree.

The first time we vacationed in this hotel was almost 10 years ago. Then we really liked everything, and I left an enthusiastic review on a well-known international resource. Therefore, this year, on a trip to the islands of Trang province, we decided to visit Ngai, the then beloved Fantasy Resort & Spa.
Unfortunately, I didn’t find any reviews about standard rooms, otherwise I would never have booked it.
I have a lot of travel experience with staying in hotels of different categories in different countries and continents, but I could not even imagine that there could be rooms of such low quality. There are no complaints about the cleaning, the room was cleaned daily and efficiently. The same applies to the size of the room. For Naya, two adults, the area was quite enough. Complaints about furnishing the room with old, worn-out furniture. Repairs with protruding wires and construction dirt that was not removed during repairs. The drain in the shower was not working well. But what surprised us most was the air conditioner, which roared loudly like a beast, and this roar did not contribute to normal sleep. The air conditioning unit is installed on a small terrace, next to the chairs. This is simply a “miracle” of engineering.
In general, if you want to spoil your holiday, choose a standard room.
We had an amazing stay at Mook Montra in Ko Muk. Kritt messaged us on WhatsApp the day we were arriving to see if we needed any help with anything and they helped us organising a longtail from the jetty on the mainland to the island for 600THB. When we arrived on the island we were greeted by the super friendly staff member (I think his name was Go) who drove us to the hotel. He explained where everything was whilst driving us around which was super helpful and he was an absolute champion during our whole stay, always willing to help us if we had any questions. The room itself, we booked the Seaview Cottage, was really nice. Quite spacious, clean and a very comfy bed with aircon. There was a little balcony with a nice bench and a table at the front which was perfect to have your breakfast in the morning or a drink in the afternoon. The property is beautiful with a lot of greenery and all the different cottages. We'd highly recommend Mook Mantra if you're budget is a bit more limited as you'd still get the luxurious vibe for this price. One thing that would've been nice to have in the room is a water kettle to make some tea or coffee in the morning.
When you stay at Phusambig Resort in Ko Mook, you'll be near the beach and 12 minutes by foot from Farang Beach. This hotel is 8.4 mi (13.6 km) from Pak Meng Beach and 1 mi (1.6 km) from Morakot Cave.
Pamper yourself with onsite massages or take in the view from a terrace and a garden. Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless internet access and tour/ticket assistance.
At Phusambig Resort, enjoy a satisfying meal at the restaurant. Breakfast is available daily from 8 AM to 11 AM for a fee.

The price-quality ratio for this hotel on Ko Muk Island is very good. Located conveniently, everywhere walking to get to the beach Charlie Beach drove on tuck-tuck, and to Silavi on foot-5-8 minutes in a hurry. Breakfast is served directly to the room. Clean, cleaned by your order. There were not enough bedside bunks. The area is beautiful, green. Staff are polite and willing to fulfill all your wishes. Looking at other hotels on the island, I can quietly recommend this hotel for stopping. The island was taken from Tranga-taxi for 1.5 hour. The island rented a boat for 600 Bat to not wait for a ferry. Taken a tour to Kradan and to a cave for 700 Bat.. Initially wanted to stop on it. Snork on Kradan is good but no food except hotels. On Ko Muke with this without problems-many restaurants. On the last day took steaks fish for kilo, calmars, and strawberries small and juice. For all gave 760 batts for two. On Co Lipa the price was already higher for all the siafood. On Lipa on the fast boat arrived. Tickets can be bought quietly on the spot. All lying if you buy anything from food is free. We took juice. Charlie Beach liked a restaurant very much - and the view is beautiful and the food is delicious. The island is less twisted than Lipe. The tourists are not many, and in this is the delight of it. Again, I would have returned for a few days to snork on Kradan.
Very outdated resort and needs a complete upgrade. The location makes up for all their problems as it is right on a long stretch of beach and the bungalow we booked was very spacious with views over the ocean. Air-conditioner worked but sounded like a tractor, the shower head is ancient and hardly works, the wheels fell off the bed when we moved it slightly. The sewerage outlet pipe runs straight into the property which is very unhygienic.too many issues to mention. Breakfast was not worth eating either so before you book if it's only for price then that may be fine but if you are looking for a clean updated place this is not for you. On the plus side the ”customer relations” person and other staff are very kind and helpful.
I had a very good stay ! When I first saw the reviews online, I was scared.. but finally the experience turned out to be quite positive.
Good points:
The swimming pool is the best in the island, quite instagramable and near the sea. I also loved the open showers in the room, quite a good feeling. The staff was friendly and did not overcharge for anything. Their restaurant was also delicious, with a nice set up for dinner. The location perfect, not too far from the pier.
Some common areas need some maintainable, it is true, but nothing too bad ;)
Very Good
