For many years, we have always been happy to finish our 3-month Thai tour to this hotel that is very quiet on the river. The rooms are comfortable and clean, breakfast is mainly oriented to Thai but it is in Thailand and not in Europe. The only negative are the cold eggs, also the prepared meals are not warm but good. Unfortunately, it is not understandable in the restaurant with the English knowledge that you don't want to have the fresh-maked mirror swept on both sides, but that was almost every hotel outside the tourist areas. We simply don't understand why young people don't speak a word English when it is allegedly learned in schools.
Good location ..next to Robinson.. welcome ice cream which was a nice touch for such hot weather..clean & spacious dorms..breakfast set was good. However.. i have told staff that i need to get to cambodia border n they booked me a song thaew to go bus station... but bus station does not have transport to go border ... n song thaew had to send me to a minivan station which was just 100m from hostel!!! Wasted time & money due to lack of knowledge of hostel staff. I was very disappointed with what happened :( ... i hope they will keep themselves abreast with local transportation details so the next guests do not have to go through what i went through :(
Very good, very good, very much.
Even on the day I arrived, it was raining, but the atmosphere was still good.
The room is clean, very beautiful.
The receptionist is super good, the service is lovely, speaks cute.
Ask anything, I recommend. I will definitely come again.
Great location, beautiful and clean hotel. After a long day visiting the city and surrounding areas it's an oasis. Simple but delicious breakfast. The staff don't speak much engbit they are friendly and helpful. Quite for a good night sleep. Near main attraction, markets, church, water front old Town, walking distance front bus station from and to koh Chang or Bangkok.

Outstanding
CCal8888We stopped here for one night with a group of friends on the way to one of the local islands. On the positive side, service was excellent. There is lots of parking. The resort has a very large pool and fitness center. The gardens are beautiful. The decor is of an older, classic style but the property is clean and nicely maintained. They have some special function rooms for large gatherings but we did not see inside them. Our standard room was spacious and clean with a wood floor and a lovely large balcony overlooking the gardens. A large couch and coffee table faced the TV, and there was a work desk and lounging chair situated near the balcony sliding doors. The king bed mattrass was hard as is the rule in Asia. There was an in-room coffee-maker and fridge. Air con worked well and there was an extra large portable floor fan which was handy so that you did not need to have air con on alll the time. Bathroom was quite small but the shower was spacious and had great pressure. Our dinner experience in the in-house restaurant was excellent - menu is extensive, food was delivered quickly and it was very tasty. I appreciated the great vegetarian menu and found the noodle wrapped herb rolls with green sauce particularly tasty. There was a large bar separate from the restaurant but we did not try it. On the negative side, internet was extremely slow and spotty - which made staying in touch with work difficult for us. There was no safe in the room. There are no elevators and this makes it a challenge to get to your room if you are on the second or third floor. Thankfully it was not very busy and the bell staff took care of moving our luggage to the room quickly. In general there are a lot of stairs to navigate so if one is older or has limited mobility this can be a problem. Breakfast was free but it was cold and unappetizing. This could have been due to a power outage that hit the area due a bad thunderstorm, but still, they should not be serving cold food that should be hot. All in all it was still a pleasant stay. But the internet was the dealbreaker for us - if they fix it, we would consider staying here again.
GGuest UserWe stayed 1 night while on our way to Koh Chang. The location of the hotel (a rundown soi at this moment) does not suggest a ”Boutique” experience, but in fact it was a nice overnight stay. Very friendly staff at reception. We took a room with river-view and balcony. Room was very spacious and all facilities in good working order: enough power-outlets, bedside lights, excellent rainshower. Only thing not working properly was the (small) fridge. there is a nice new promenade that runs alongside the river (accessible from the nice hotel garden), but if you follow it in the direction of the bridge (city-center) it's a dead-end and you need to exit by going back to the hotel or cross a building site. Other side of the bridge is a busy nigh-market with lots of food-stalls, but I recommend the Japanese restaurant on the right side of the road just before you cross the bridge (around the corner of the Robinson Shopping Cr). Excellent japanese food and just a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Breakfast (buffet) at the hotel can be taken in the garden. All in all a good deal.
GGuest UserStayed at this beautiful hotel for 15days during my recent trip to Chanthaburi from 11-26 April 2023. The rooms are superb and the service was impeccable. Reception is always available for any assistance. Security was available throughout the day and night. Chambermaids cleaned the rooms daily (or like me, I kept my room clean so they only came to clean up every 2 days). This hotel is a stone’s throw away from rimnam, the waterfront community. Lots of cafes, restaurants and nightspots for safe and peaceful eating and drinking until 12midnight. Hardly anything negative about this hotel. All good and near perfect. Transportation is easily available via Grab. Or if you rather, the hotel can call for a Mazda to take you wherever you want to go, within the city limits or further away. Central Chanthaburi is only a 66B Grab car ride away. Robinsons is also nearby. There’s a street market that will feed you well, within walking distance. Carpark is ample and readily available for hotel guests and visitors. (Ps if you can play the piano, there’s one at the lobby. Or if you there during the weekends, a pianist entertains your evening)
GGuest UserWhen I was about to check out, I heard the commotion right outside my room which was on the third floor. When I opened the door, I saw the minor flood over the hallway, caused by the leaking, hanging, pipe. Among a few staffs actively taking care of the flood, a lady turned to me and said ”Please be very careful” so many times with soft, but concerned, voice. What impressed me the most is when she saw that I used the walking stick, she grabbed my arm and helped support me all the way to the elevator. I could tell that she has a genuine heart; very caring and attentive, and I found out later that she is the owner of the hotel, who came to take care of the leaking issue. I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you once again to the management and the staff of the hotel, and hope that the leaking problem has been fixed. In addition, I would like to make a note about the breakfast. I love the taste and the idea of bringing local food and dessert to the table. However, if some of the dishes, such as pork noodle and boiled rice, had been served hot, taste would be perfect.
Bbeno_tp990What a bad hotel could be from a level of 4* to a price of 2* with just a little service like a laundry service, a even paying shuttle to go to the old town (2kms), bikes, a place or take a hot drink on the edge of the very chlorious swimming pool a international TV channel of the better placed showers because next to the reception without any intimacy like the pool face to the lobby, Finally a staff speaking well English at least at reception... But it is a beautiful hotel with style, quiet with rooms side river offering in excellent comfort ( bed-draps-sdb-balcon-wifi-deco) good breakfast served on the base, resting frame and staff Devote ( spoke a bit of Thai help).
KKhunKTUConvenient location, easy travel, comfortable rooms, simple but chic decorations. There is no refrigerator in the room. The bathroom is not very clean. Maybe because the floor is black. It's a clear stain. Cleaning is not as good as it should be. Drinks are always available. There is a co-working space. The breakfast is good and has a lot of variety.
KKeith JFReally amazing hotel, the hotel is very simple with 8 rooms on each floor, 24 rooms in total. The hotel is quite far from main road or the turning in road.
Cleanliness 5/5 very very clean
Service 5/5 this is highly depends on individual and language barrier , but the receptionist is more than helpful at all times
Facilities 5/5 acceptable and adequate facilities for a 3 star, with cold aircond, hot showers and a simple balcony. + Some free titbits in the morning
Parking 5/5 plenty of parking is available but it does get crowded in late night
SsugarspaceWe have traveled to Chanthaburi. Go to stay at the house by the bay next to Bang Manao restaurant I really like the rooms here, new rooms, spacious, clean, beautiful, hospitable staff, everyone. More importantly, there is a cute corner. To take a lot of pictures I like people who like to take pictures like us ^^ Going for the first time was impressed. The room we stayed in is a Deluxe Grand room. The back of the room opens the door to feed the fish as well. In the room there will be fish food for you. During our visit, there are activities and seafood baskets as well. Tell me it's worth it. There are many activities in the accommodation, including kayaking, paddle board, pedal boat. You don't have to go out anywhere. Also, the swimming pool here is very big. The pool is close to the bay. You can soak in the water and look at the panoramic view of the bay. Anyone who comes to stay here, do not forget to bring a beautiful swimsuit attached. Let's go and stay here. I recommend ^^
GGuest UserThe hotel is off the beaten track in an alley. Lots of dogs, which makes arriving on a motorbike not pleasant. Don't be alarmed, it doesn't look very inviting from the outside. Check-in was easy, we were on the third floor. The rooms have been renovated. Simple, enough for passing through. Too remote for a longer stay. No drinks or food. We were referred to Lineman/Grab. Late in the evening the hotel filled up with other travelers who were also only staying one night. In our case, 3 large families (Thais). It was quite loud in the hallway/stairwell (there is no elevator). In the morning you can help yourself to coffee at the bar. To check out... just put your key in the basket at reception. We only saw staff on arrival, but they were very nice (poor English). Conclusion: It's OK - we've had better value for money, simple and very plain.
PPapontee K.The rooms are adequate, not suitable for the elderly.
The location is in a very good spot, right on the water's edge.
There is a restaurant nearby. Chill out restaurant
Short walk to Nampu Market. Evening walking market It's easy to find something to eat.
The air conditioner is cool.
Considerations
- There is no parking, must park in the area of Wat Khet Na Bunyaram, which is close to the accommodation, 1 minute walk.
- The accommodation was converted from a commercial building with 2 units. There is no elevator. Must use stairs to go up and down only. Therefore it is not suitable for the elderly.
- The common area, waterfront balcony, mezzanine floor is quite dirty.
- There is no drinking water, toothbrush, toothpaste in the room, but there are towels, hair towels, and bath towels.
- Check in until 20:00, check out by leaving the key in the box.
- The room door is swollen and difficult to open and close. The knob must not be used. Only lock from the latch at the bottom.
- Security: There is a key card, but it is used only for using electricity in the room. There is no security system at the door. But there are CCTV cameras at the reception.
- Bathroom water drains slowly. Furniture in the room is made of bare cement to become a cabinet enclosure. It's a shower screen.
Summary of personal opinions
If there is a chance, will come to stay again. For sleeping because overall it looks fair. Suitable for the price But the location is good.
