The hotel is great, and the view towards the Danube is beautiful. The breakfast is very rich, the spa needs to be booked in advance (we went to the full on the day), there is a swimming pool but an extra fee is required. The only dissatisfaction is that the price of the hotel fluctuates greatly. When I checked in on the same day, the price had dropped to less than 2/3 of the price booked a month in advance.

La struttura è centralissima, situata vicino la porta di San Michele e dalla struttura puoi girare il centro a piedi. L'appartamento è arredato molto bene, c'è la cucina dotata di tutto, lavatrice, bollitore, asse e ferro da stiro, bagno con asciugacapelli e dispenser con sapone e bagnoschiuma. Il personale alla reception è gentilissimo e pronto ad aiutarti per qualsiasi esigenza. Abbiamo usufruito dell'upgrade avendo prenotato con Expedia, quindi abbiamo avuto una camera più grande e ci hanno omaggiato di una bottiglia di spumante. Cambiano i teli dopo 2 notti. Consigliato!

The epitome of Boutique hotel. Great location, breakfast buffet is extensive & staff are really friendly, especially front desk staff. Not certain about 5 star though as there’s no swimming pool but there’s a lovely terrace on 2 floor - take stairs or the elevator. It’s an easy walk around the old town and close to the Danube River. Make sure to go to the UFO tower for a 360 view of Bratislava for €9.90. There’s also a standout 5-star international fine dining restaurant. Take the well worth it ‘Panorama Tour’ for €20 & 90 minutes - book via hotel desk. WARNING - TAXI - I caught a taxi from the train station to the hotel & was charged €24, including a €20 train to hotel charge which was a scam. DO NOT take taxi at the train station - it’s actually an easy 10min walk. My fare should have been €3-5. I hope the ‘friendly’ driver rots in … Certainly put a dampener on my trip

The new and modern hotel with very warm rooms (you will appreciate in the colder days) in walking distance from national bank and 20 min walk from main train station.hotel offers parking for good price (during weekend there is a option to park on the street for free) and breakfast for 10-15 Eur. The location of the hotel is good. The room is clean and has everything I needed. The service is also good. But there were problems with hot water in one room. So I asked an employee named Alicia to help me solve this issue or change the room. But Alicia began to be rude and said that the water was not so cold and I could take a shower. But the water temperature was really cold. I was surprised. As a result, our number was changed, but only after conflict.

What a find! The hotel is beautiful and in a fantastic location for exploring Bratislava. The staff are some of the friendliest and most helpful I've found anywhere and couldn't do more to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was varied and plentiful with something to suit everyone. Our room was spacious and comfortable with the only downside being that it wasn't air-conditioned and consequently was overly warm for our liking but this was a minor negative. Overall we and our friends had a lovely time here and this hotel would be our first choice if visiting Bratislava again

4-16-2022 This is a nice hotel nestled in the neighborhood of Bratislava on the hill. My room had a Garden which was beautiful. The views of the local neighborhood and the Bratislava Castle sitting on the hill was a night sight in the evening and especially in the morning. The property and the neighborhood was very quite. So you will rest well. Bratislava central station is only a mile away. The slavin monument is up the hill a half a mile away. Old town is short walk down the hill as well. The room was very clean and cozy. I would stay their again.

Owing to a very busy schedule,I have been too many days delayed in writing this: absolutely the only negative comment I can make about the Falkensteiner is the inadequate bedding- two small single duvets are inappropriate for a double or king bed.A normal sheet ( there is no need for any form of quilt in summer) is required. Otherwise ,I cannot criticise- there was even an actual bath in the bathroom.The room was cool,quiet and well furnished.The coffee machine was adequate for making tea,and the fridge worked The location was ideal for a castle visit,and the old town was easily reached via an only slightly unpleasant underpass.

GGuest UserThe epitome of Boutique hotel. Great location, breakfast buffet is extensive & staff are really friendly, especially front desk staff. Not certain about 5 star though as there’s no swimming pool but there’s a lovely terrace on 2 floor - take stairs or the elevator. It’s an easy walk around the old town and close to the Danube River. Make sure to go to the UFO tower for a 360 view of Bratislava for €9.90. There’s also a standout 5-star international fine dining restaurant. Take the well worth it ‘Panorama Tour’ for €20 & 90 minutes - book via hotel desk. WARNING - TAXI - I caught a taxi from the train station to the hotel & was charged €24, including a €20 train to hotel charge which was a scam. DO NOT take taxi at the train station - it’s actually an easy 10min walk. My fare should have been €3-5. I hope the ‘friendly’ driver rots in … Certainly put a dampener on my trip

RRiznychokThe location of the hotel is good. The room is clean and has everything I needed. The service is also good. But there were problems with hot water in one room. So I asked an employee named Alicia to help me solve this issue or change the room. But Alicia began to be rude and said that the water was not so cold and I could take a shower. But the water temperature was really cold. I was surprised. As a result, our number was changed, but only after conflict.

GGuest UserThe location is great as it’s in the very center of the city and you can basically walk to most of the places without even using public transportation. Other than that, there are not so many positive things to say as the rooms are quite small (but clean and with everything you may need even to cook a simple meal) and the walls are so thin you can hear ANYTHING is going on in the next room, and not only that one. On Saturday we couldn’t sleep for most of the night as a bunch of guys decided to get drunk and didn’t care about keeping it quiet (not even after my boyfriend knocked on their door and told them we were trying to sleep, this was around 01:00 AM and they went on talking and shouting till almost 02:00 when they finally decided to go out to keep drinking). The next morning, we told the girl at the reception about it and she said she was really sorry and that she would have talked to her manager in order to give us a discount on our stay to make up for it. Unfortunately, that was the last time we saw that girl (we stayed other 3 nights and she asked us our room number and our contacts) and we never heard from the property till today. In the end it looks like they are sorry for you but they don’t really care or pay attention to their job, when I let them know about our early check-out they even asked me to pay a fee for it because they didn’t realize I asked for an early check-out and not an early-check-in! In another occasion we had to let people in as they had been calling the number to get the door opened for minutes but there was no one at the reception, when the girl finally arrived we could see that what was keeping her from answering was that she was making herself a cup of tea (or whatever she was drinking..).. Definitely they can improve their staff skills when dealing with people and maybe try to look not so bothered by guests because they have to interrupt their personal calls or because they want to have their beverage. Not a pleasant experience and we won’t go back there next time in Bratislava!

GGuest UserI was at first turned off by the business exterior of the building - it looks like you're going into a corporate office or a dentist suite. Because it's so quiet (that's a plus for me), my first impression was that there weren't other people there! Once I settled in and made it to the common room to see lovely groups of people cooking and eating together at the large table, I realised I couldn't have been more wrong. Hostel Folks is extremely clean - even the bathrooms! - and they have free coffee and tea. The beds are okay, but the common area is really nice. The best part is the location! It's across the street from the old town and just down the road from some cheap local cuisine. Kind staff and a short walk to the bus station and sights make this an ideal place to stay for a night or a week.

JJoyce_DxOwing to a very busy schedule,I have been too many days delayed in writing this: absolutely the only negative comment I can make about the Falkensteiner is the inadequate bedding- two small single duvets are inappropriate for a double or king bed.A normal sheet ( there is no need for any form of quilt in summer) is required. Otherwise ,I cannot criticise- there was even an actual bath in the bathroom.The room was cool,quiet and well furnished.The coffee machine was adequate for making tea,and the fridge worked The location was ideal for a castle visit,and the old town was easily reached via an only slightly unpleasant underpass.

GGuest User4-16-2022 This is a nice hotel nestled in the neighborhood of Bratislava on the hill. My room had a Garden which was beautiful. The views of the local neighborhood and the Bratislava Castle sitting on the hill was a night sight in the evening and especially in the morning. The property and the neighborhood was very quite. So you will rest well. Bratislava central station is only a mile away. The slavin monument is up the hill a half a mile away. Old town is short walk down the hill as well. The room was very clean and cozy. I would stay their again.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel was good, but it feels a bit overpriced as I booked even better one for the same price in Vienna, which is a contrast city in terms of the price. Gentleman at the reception was friendly. Bear in mind that the hotel will charge additional city tax when you move in.
The hotel itself was more less clean, but the room was not spotlessly cleaned to be honest. I had some hair on the soap dispenser and some threads in the bath. The bed was a bit small and short, furniture was slightly damaged. The door had old post soviet style of faux leather Ron top and I was wondering why… I woke up at the middle of the night from the screams of the children that were so loud in the corridor for some reason. The sound insulation is not good at all there sadly and the fabric door did not really help.
The hotel has nice authentic lobby which reminds a Soviet porch with Persian carpets. I booked 1 month in advance for 26th of December and paid $68, which I think is overpriced, considered the quality and space of the room. If it was cheaper, I’d have given more starts for this review. It is ok for one night if you just come and fall asleep. Hotel needs renovation.

GGuest UserThe Ibis chain are no frills hotel, with Bratislava centrum being no exception. The rooms are very basic, no kettle or coffee maker, minimal plug sockets, standard bed and tv. The shower room is very small and the hot water seems to take a while to kick in, and sadly the water pressure in the shower is awful. The room however seemed very clean and the bed was comfy, good enough for a couple of nights. Tv remote has a button for Netflix, however it didn't seem to work or has been disconnected somehow. Check in desk seemed relatively pleasant and I managed to check in an hour early which was nice. Hotel location is perfect, just a stones throw away from the old town and with easy accessibility to the rest of the city. If you manage you expectations and want a budget hotel in the centre of Bratislava then Ibis is a good option. The hotel does what it says on the tin and is fine for a few nights stay. The hotel also offers breakfast, however I didn't choose this option so can't comment on this.

Staff friendly and welcoming, we did have a few issues with the room booking but it was resolved. They take 10 euro deposit in cash which was returned easily on check-out. Room was clean and bathroom too, had everything we needed but was very very hot (only 1 fan). A free drink voucher was a nice touch and the bar was cheap and sociable. Easy walk into the main town for tours etc the next day. Stored bags for us, kitchen looked good although we didn't use it. Very close to a large Tesco store for groceries/snacks.

It houses antique watches, clocks, jewelry and more from early local designs, as well as elaborate music clocks. The collection is more than 9,000 pieces, but the works on display are only selectively displayed, many of which have not been re-produced. Among them is a quaint clock set with many expensive gems, which is really a work of art, but the more memorable is the ancient pocket watch of 1550.
