This was my second time staying at the renovated Bohinj hotel, although just for one night because the hotel was fully booked for the holidays. The service has significantly improved, making our experience truly memorable. Perfectly located overlooking the lake Bohinj, the hotel offers a great base for sports enthusiasts or just a relaxing place to unwind in nature. The food was a highlight of our stay. A very rich breakfast got us up and ready for the day of hiking, and a la carte dinner was even better than the last time. For appetizers, we enjoyed a delicious cheese board, smoked Bohinj trout, and beef tartar. Our main courses of beef ribs and chicken roulade were equally impressive, and the desserts – crème brûlée, Mohant cheesecake and buckwheat dumplings with walnuts were exceptional. The food with carefully selected wine pairings was a bit on the expensive side, but well worth it. With each room uniquely decorated the hotel pays homage to local traditions and craftsmanship. The Christmas vibes in the lobby also added a festive touch. The saunas were a bit crowded, so I recommend reserving your time in advance. Overall, this hotel is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of Lake Bohinj and surroundings, with great food and excellent service. We will definitely be back!

The staff were super friendly, especially the man who was serving in the restaurant for our stay. They were very accommodating and helped us plan a couple of day trips. The food portions for dinner in the restaurant were huge and delicious Slovenian food with a home-cooked feel. The buffet dinner was also great with lots of selection. The room was basic but very clean and nice with a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. Free parking was also great. The disappointing part is the fitness area which is NOT a gym and literally just 1 treadmill, 1 bike and 1 resistance weight machine (not helpful for anyone who actually does weight training). The swimming pool tiled area was not that clean and you have to pay extra for the sauna and towels. The swimming area was not luxury by any means and we didn't stay in there long. It also could have been warmer as not big enough to swim properly and more leisurely.

You can have lovely view of Bohinj lake. That alone is worth a lot🙂 Appartments are relatively spacious but modestly equipped. For a family of 4 there are not enough storage spaces for clothes and sport gear. The bathrooms are also small with a strange shower. Staff is friendly and helpful. Reasons for a rating of 3: - too expensive for what you get. As I said it already - modestly equipped appartments. - breakfast became worst as it was 4 yeara ago. One of the highlights of staying at Triglav was the great breakfast included in the price. It seems breakfast is a victim of shrinkflation😁 Less for the same or even higher price. When we arrived at the restaurant there were no eggs or sausages left. No replenishment until we left. Upon arrival you have to write down your time slot for breakfast which makes it even stranger that there was almost no food left when we came (and we were on time). Bottom line: you can get a better accomodation for the same amount (or even less).

Cooles Hostel, freundliches, hilfsbereites Personal. Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer welches gross und möbiliert war. Betten waren sehr bequem. Die Küche kann man mitbenützen und ist gut ausgestattet. Parkieren kann man gleich neben dem Haus kostenlos. Die Duschen waren sauber mit warmem Wasser und angenehmem Duschstrahl.
