I decided to stay at the Raffles Hotel because on my last trip to Seychelles I wanted to visit 3 hotels and spend time on each island. For the selection on Praslin Island, there were: Constance Lemuria and Raffles. Raffles was chosen due to having a plunge pool in the villa. Generally, the resort is very crowded in terms of the number of villas and guests. Despite the fact that the service try their best, I cannot rate anyone high except the main manager of the resort - Salwa Razzouk.
But to start with - the location of the resort I count 6/10, the quality of the villas: 7/10 - they are not quite as luxurious as the Anantara Maia or Six senses or Four Seasons villas. The plunge pool in the villa is very small.
Minimum size beach - one of the worst in Seychelles I've ever seen - 6/10. Unfortunately, the food also disappointed very much - I completely do not recommend ”Theme food nights” - the quality of the food served is below criticism - generally the food in this hotel was at the level of a 3-star hotel in Egypt (I have never been to such a hotel). place 7/10, we will probably not come back to this place, the last hotel I have to see on this island is Lemuria - we have already been Chateau Des Feueiles.
The hotel's facilities in both the public areas and the rooms are very good, far exceeding expectations. The courtyard decoration is very special, with small bridge running water, fountain sculpture, koi fish pond and so on. The deluxe room is a newly-built building. The interior decoration is very design. The fans are remote-controlled. There are bird cage hanging chairs on the balcony. Good location, right next to Cote Dor, the longest and finest beach on Praslin Island. The bar restaurant has seafront seats, swings, etc. The scenery must be great when the weather is good. It was just that we went in the rainy season and it rained for two consecutive days. Pre-order breakfast and dinner, delicate and delicious. excellent service. Most of the guests are Europeans and Americans, and there are fewer Chinese. The disadvantage is that the pillows are a bit high, the bed creaks when turning over, and the quality of sleep is affected.
We had a wonderful stay here for 9 nights, in our opinion on the best part of the beach. Very friendly atmosphere, good service, great tasting food. It’s a nice feeling to dine with your feet in the sand. We chose to upgrade to a deluxe room on the beach side of the hotel, which we highly recommend. Just a few steps to the water. And just a 10-minute boat ride to Curieuse Island with the tortoises. Charles and the others in the reception will make a good deal for you with the rasta guys next door. It’s a great trip. Don’t miss it.

The Sea View Lodge is a marvel. Our fully equipped self-catered apartment was nested in a tropical botanical garden rich in flowers, humming birds, geckos, bulbuls birds, warblers, myna birds, and big Seychelles tortoises. The lodge is safe. It also has a swimming pool, little bar and restaurant. All with a stunning view the bay. Sometimes, we sat by the sea on their beach chairs for sunset. We went snorkelling around the corner on the right of the bay. They was some nice coral and a wide variety of fish. We also went for walks up the hill or sometimes along the little road. The rooms are clean and the staff friendly and efficient. The beds are comfy and the white sheets nice and clean. We cooked in the kitchen as if we were at home and used washing machine. The owner, Barry, is a personality. He cares lovingly of his little paradise. We were very happy and felt at home away from our home. Some guests came to stay for weeks and months. Possession beach is a small quiet fisherman’s beach. No crowds, beach boys, shops and noisy tourist restaurants here. That’s why we staid there. A little road runs along the beach. The inexpensive public bus can take you to Anse Lazio beach or to Côte d’Or beach, the two main white sand swimmable beaches on this side of the island. The same bus can take you to the national park or the other side of the island. For more freedom and to visit the island, we rented a small car directly from the hotel. All reliable, friendly and simple. We went shopping in the local little grocery shop called Heyday about 2 km away. They had all we needed. For us, this place is a discovery, a new home, and we feel blessed for the time spent there.
I guess it’s good enough for the price. Praslin Island isn’t cheap and it was better than expected. The rooms were clean, AC was cold at night, but not during the day, and shower was nice and warm. The bed wasn’t very comfortable as it was too soft and the pillows were lumpy. There was also no blanket but just a flat sheet. The staff was accommodating, but dinner service was extremely slow and food was not good. I’m glad it was a complimentary dinner for paying the stay in cash. Otherwise, I would’ve felt bad. They offered my child pizza, but didn’t include it in the complimentary dinner. It was 12 Euros for a pizza that was the worst tasting pizza we had all trip, including Ethiopia. They also charged us for water when they can give free water. I hate that they offered a kids menu when they were going to charge! She could’ve shared our food. It was terrible pizza. Breakfast was also not good. They can’t seem to cook eggs properly. I found it strange that they only gave 3 small bottles of water on day 1 and it was never replenished despite a 4 day stay. I also don’t understand why they couldn’t split the complimentary dinner for 2 into 2 nights, 1 night each since I’m on intermittent fasting. It also annoyed me that our food came much later when we were ahead of the others in the restaurant. It just felt unfair. And they’re not on time. We had to catch an 8am ferry and wanted to check-out the night before but they assured us that the reception opens 7am, but at 7:03am, they were still closed! Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again and maybe there are much better places in Praslin.
We couldn’t not have picked a better place to stay! Everyone is so welcoming and happy to see you. The food has been outstanding and for a picky eater this is a plus. 2 nights a week the resort offers a sunset cruise. The boat leaves at the resort around 4:30 and takes you to a nice place to snorkel, then takes you to watch the sunset! This is all free of charge! The huts are nice it is not all fancy fancy but clean and nicely kept. We stayed in a beautiful ocean front and it was simply amazing. The drinks were very reasonable. You can walk to near by stores and restaurants. We highly recommend this resort!

Douche super . Literie confortable. Terrasse vue mer super sympa . Pas mal de petit lézards sur la terrasse . Moustiques ++ le soir attention mettre du répulsif. Personnel du bar est très sympa ! Merci Joe pour sa gentillesse et ses délicieux cocktails!

GGuest UserIf you go by ferry, it ends at the end of the island.
Once you enter the resort, there is not much to come out of the itinerary. If you want to tour the island or do a day tour of Radigue, we recommend renting a car.
The facilities are top notch.
nature reserve? Because of this, there are some flying bugs, but fortunately there are no mosquitoes.
You can see a lot of chickens, peacocks, lizards and tortoises in the resort. If you apply for an eco-tour, you can listen to the flora and fauna in the resort along with explanations from the guide.
Most of all services within the resort (dinner spa, etc.) require a reservation in advance, and even a day in advance reservation is almost impossible. We recommend that you check the services provided online in advance and make a reservation on the day of arrival.
The staff is overflowing everywhere, they are so friendly, and the room condition is checked so often that it is burdensome.
Oddly enough, when someone is there, they knock on the door and come in.
If you don't want to be disturbed, you should tell us in advance at check-in.
There are several beaches in the resort and they are all beautiful. All kinds of water sports items can be rented, and tennis and golf are also available, so if you like sports, you can enjoy it.
Anse Georgette is really pretty, so be sure to go there.
However, there are some waves here too, so go when the weather is good.
It was awesome, Thanks to Gihan Fernando and Nicole. The Service was excellent and the Villa with Pool was amazing! The Dinner was really nice, the fish was delicious!
We arrived on an early flight from Mahe and Natasha had kindly organised a airport transfer with great guy called Emmanuel . We were greeted with a fruit juice and friendly member of staff when we arrived at Palm Beach. They kindly allowed us to relax by the pool until we could access our room. We had a ground floor room with verandah doors to the pool. Very comfortable bed and good air conditioning but the room was tired and the bathroom really required updating especially its plumbing !! We ate in the restaurant on the first night but it was expensive and mediocre. The breakfast was okay but limited. The hotel reception organised for Emmanuel to take us out for a day trip which brilliant and Emmanuel was very obliging dropping us off and meeting us again as and when required. In the other evenings we walked into Grande Anse and would highly recommend the Reggae Bar for great local food especially the Friday night BBQ and live band.
Joli hôtel, belles chambres et SDE, réception et restaurant un peu vieillots mais belle et grande piscine, excellente restauration, personnel très disponible, seul bémol: literie à changer, un plus: emplacement facilitant les transports sur toute l’île de Praslin
GGuest UserWe checked in on the 12th of December 2023. First impression was wonderful. We were welcomed with a refreshing drink served by Paulo. He was very welcoming and friendly. After we were done with our drink we were taken to our room 118 and showed around by Liana. She was very well spoken and friendly. The room was well cleaned and well organized. The beds are comfortable and we were able to sleep well. Breakfast is an all rounder and delicious. The chef is friendly and the same goes for the servers. The Hotel was quite for the first couple of days and everything was wonderful. The GM, Pramodh came around every Breakfast to check in and see if everything was still going well. On the 17th December we had a relaxing day by the hotel and it's wonderful pool. At 15h00pm our room was not serviced yet and we went to the reception to ask for toilet paper and water. The receptionist Tina advised that she would send it to our room. After 4 attempts and going back to the reception and 6 hours later we were still not able to get basic amenities like toilet paper and water to be sent to our room. Tina was not willing to assist and was more consigned eating and relaxing than to arrange service or getting the amenities to our room. April the server was so kind to immediately arrange it agter waiting for 6 hours for it to arrive. On the 19th December the Hotel had a party at the pool bar that was extremely loud. As non of the rooms have any sound proof or sound control and our room was located right across the party we were not able to hear the TV with the music and screaming of the people. At 11h15pm the music was still going loudly and I went out to go and complain as we did not get any notice about the party or a time it will stop. I went to go ask the GM when he is planning on telling us about the party and when it will be over. He informed me it will be after 11h30pm. As we could not sleep or hear anything other than the party we waited till 11h45 and went to ask them to please switch off the music. I informed them that it is completely unacceptable to not take any consideration to their in-house guests and we came here to relax. On 22nd December we moved rooms as they were having another big party and advised us that they will be playing live music till 1am. They moved us into room 111. The room had a mold smell in it and was definitely not ready for service with the smell and nor was the aircon working. They were still doing maintenance on the porch at the back and was using the porch as a storage unit. The mini fridge was so badly stained that i did not feel comfortable placing any of our drinks in the fridge. As it is very hot here we were not able to stay without an ac so we had to pack up once again and moved to another room. Verda our room attended was kind enough to assist us in moving for the 2nd time in 1 day. We could also not join for dinner as the whole restaurant was occupied by a private function and the in-house guests had to eat som
SSANGDISeychelles is not big, and you either charter or rent a car around the island. It doesn't matter whether the location is convenient or not. The hotel is a three-minute walk to the main road. Vacation cares about the mood, and the scenery... all of these in Castello. If the weather is good, the seawater during the day will have a gradual color, and in the evening you can enjoy the beauty of the sunset and the wonderful memories of the journey. Disadvantages: There are not many types of food in the cafeteria...
