I debated between Upon and the hotel apartment in the old town for a long time, and finally decided to stay in Upon, because they are really cost-effective in comparison, and the money saved on taking a taxi or subway is definitely enough. I have seen that the rooms in the better hotel chains in Lisbon are not too big. Their rooms are relatively larger at more than 30 square meters, and they also have small kitchens where you can cook your own meals. Another advantage is that they are not far from the subway station, about 700 to 800 meters, and it takes about 10 minutes to walk. It is very convenient to go anywhere. Moreover, they were opposite Benfica, and there was a game on the second night of their stay there, so I felt the enthusiasm of the fans.
Overall, I am quite satisfied with the hotel. It would be better if the kitchen utensils were more complete in size. It would be better to consider the issue of hanging clothes after washing. There are also cleaning staff who don't speak English, but the service at the front desk is still good. If you ask them any questions, they can explain them patiently. If you book a room without breakfast, their breakfast on the first floor seems to be 13 euros per person. Besides, because the children are older, all the one-bedrooms are specially reserved. The sofa bed has been set up and the bedding has been put out, which is quite thoughtful.
I will probably choose them next time I come here. It is highly recommended. Oh, and I would like to add that right across from the Benfica Stadium is the Columbus Shopping Center in Lisbon. It is convenient for shopping and eating. It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk.
The front desk service is not very good. Unprofessional and not considerate of customers. I paid two city taxes, but only one bill was issued. They also explained that the house was booked through an agent, so please go to the agent. I was in a hurry to catch a flight, but they didn't solve the problem and sent people to explain it in turn. It is not worthy of the management level of Marriott Group at all. The breakfast is extremely unpalatable, and there is basically nothing to eat. All cold dishes, the only hot omelet has a long queue of people waiting for one chef.
Very Good

This hotel is really central and the staff are amazingly great The breakfast is am delicious I would say this hotel is amazing love it wish I was staying longer
It's about a 30 minute walk to the center. The bus terminal is nearby, so it's good for traveling by bus. There are many cobblestone streets, so the wheels of the suitcases were almost dead. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby.
The stay at the apartment was comfortable and enjoyable. Firstly, the apartment has everything a person needs when traveling - an equipped kitchen (stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishes, dishwashing liquid), hot water from a boiler, Wi-Fi, iron, dryer, comfortable bed, armchair, dining table, bedside tables, wardrobe.
The apartment was clean and housekeeping was good throughout the stay.
The only thing missing was a washing machine, but there are self-service laundries within walking distance.
Of course you will hear the sounds of airplanes, but this is Lisbon! The airport is located in the middle of the city, planes can be heard almost everywhere! You quickly get used to them and for us this was not a problem at all.
We didn’t hear our neighbors, but the walls felt quite thin, so if you’re unlucky with people nearby, it could be uncomfortable (just like in life)
It takes 13-15 minutes to walk to the metro, there are bus stops nearby.
An important point is that registration is contactless; you need to receive a code from the front door, or make a call in order for the front door to be opened for you. The code for the front door is sent in advance, but when booking on trip.com they will not send it to you (!). Therefore, especially if you arrive at a non-standard time, take care of the code in advance - write to the apartment, or ensure that you can call a Portuguese number.
After entering the hall, you need to go to the registration machine and register + pay the tourist tax (by card). Also make sure in advance that you have the option of paying by card.
The apartments are very nice, clean, comfortable and we would happily stay there again.
The room is clean, and the shower is working in order. The breakfast at 9€ is value for money. Wish that the access to hot drinking water could be available at every room level. The screening of Live soccer games at the lounge is readily available. Nice.
Everything is absolutely perfect: friendliness and professionalism of the staff, very quiet room (n.5.3, 5th floor with elevator), cozy and super clean, with a bottle of water and ”welcome” sweets (I really liked it, especially after a whole day (air travel), excellent wi-fi, and the possibility of having breakfast served in the room. I also liked the attention to the environment and the reduction of unnecessary expenses (bottle and glass cups, instructions on changing towels only when necessary, etc.). Unfortunately it was a one-night stay (coming from the Azores, I arrived at 9.30 pm and only stayed until 9 am the following morning), but I will definitely repeat this excellent experience! Highly recommended.
