Find the Cheap Portimao Hotels

The hotel is again great, nice rooms, friendly helpful staff. Maintenance is still lacking a bit, although some progress was made. Due to lack of rain/water the golf course is dry and golf is played on the roots of the grass. Last year october it was green with large dry patches, this year it is just dry except for the greens. Looks like the effect of climate change is increasing and next year October we will not come again under these conditions.

The room is spacious, the environment is good, and it is very close to the beach. The only funny thing is that we booked a double bed room, which is normal for two people, but the hotel said we had to pay extra because we booked for one person. In the end, we were cheated of 50 euros. Although breakfast was provided, I still felt uncomfortable. We booked a room, not a bed, so what is the difference between staying for one person and staying for two people? In addition, the breakfast was perfunctory, and there was basically nothing to eat.

Stayed in Plaza real Atlantic Hotel in Portimão 25-29th of October 2024, this was a last minute planned holiday with Work closed for Bank Holiday October. The apartment was lovely inside, cooking facility was perfect, an oven and hob. Have seen nicer views though, the hotel needs refurbishment from outside, and found the beach front would have been a nicer place to stay. The first morning I woke, an individual was spitting phlegm over their balcony. I required about clean towels, and was informed a payment was required for towels, no fresh towels given. No bath stopper, had to use the one in the kitchen sink basin. The chairs on the balcony are unsafe, my partner sat on a chair and while sitting on the chair (all four legs of the chair on the ground) the back of it snapped, we informed the receptionist and he immediately wrote it into the repair and maintance book without asking was my partner 'okay'. I would stay on the beach front in Portimão if I was to go again, but if you want a quiet weekend it is lovely, not for a weeks stay though.

We visited Portugal for our first time in the middle of October. The weather was a balmy 25° pretty much all week ☀️ we were incredibly pleased with our apartment which was very spacious, had a lovely big balcony and was cleaned every day by very smiley housekeepers. The hotel reception staff were warm and friendly and answered any questions we had helpfully and with a pleasing friendliness. The bar staff were very nice too and whipped up a mean pina colada to sip by the outside pool. The facilities (outdoor, indoor pool, sauna, toilets etc) were all immaculate and we very much enjoyed lounging around the outside pool most afternoons. The prices In the bar were very fair, €4 a beer, €6 cocktails and €5/6 for a cheese toastie with fries (which was plenty!!) The local shop was a 5min walk away which had a little of everything and the beach was an easy 10min away. We went into Praia do Rocha most nights and it was around a 20min walk and was around €5 in an Uber back to the hotel late at night. Lagos is around €25 in a taxi/Uber and well worth a day out. Alvor is roughly €2 on the bus which stops just outside. A couple of things were missing from the hotel room such as a mirror in the bedroom, a chopping board in the kitchen but didn’t in anyway affect our holiday. Would liked to have had a double bed but we just pushed the 2 twin beds together (twin beds seem to be pretty standard for the Algarve from what I’ve seen) Would highly highly recommend this apartment/hotel for anyone after a quite, relaxing área to visit. Would definitely visit again around the same time of the year as it was absolute bliss being one of only around 4/5 people around the pool each day. Couldn’t recommend highly enough as all the staff were brilliant and the accommodation perfect.

The fact that not check in/out is very uncomfortable. It is not hotel, don't call hotel, it's rooms in a building. I want to know if the costs caused by this voices return. After all, it's all perfect location, comfort, at last. I hope they will tell the passengers the first address that we should not go back.

The hotel is located near the river where the bars and restaurants are. The hotel has a very good location, the hotel has a very good location and the hotel has a very good location. The room was large, we were in a four-fold, consisting of two rooms with two single beds each, one of the rooms was the bathroom and TV, and the other was the air conditioning and the closet. Both with windows to indoor patios. No refrigerator. Beds are comfortable, but coats are like cotton. In the bathroom there are gel and towels, but not hair dryer. The checkin is made inn. We had breakfast included that with the coronavirus theme can not be buffet, unless the day before at the reception of the hotel made inn, give you a paper with the breakfast options that are there and the next day you have to go to pick it up at the reception of the other Hotel at your time. The options are a salad, another sweet, fruit, yogurt, juices, coffee and a sweet. You can pick up everything and was good. The friendly and friendly reception staff speak Spanish well. I would recommend this hotel.

Excellent location, parking at the door and secure. Very pleasant staff and speaks perfect English. Great !!!
