Magnificent guest house 500 meters from the monastery. Very stylish place. The design is eclectic, but it doesn't spoil it. We had a bed with massive knobs and a high carved headboard as if from the XIX century and a modern room. The toilet and shower were nearby, but shared. Beautiful lobby, there is a kitchen with stove and refrigerator (not used). Breakfast is modest. The staff is friendly. There's even ping-pong. If we had stayed longer, we would have played!

Our experience was absolutely phenomenal. We were greeted by Maria as soon as we parked our car ( yes! parking is on the property, easy and free). Maria is a wonderful host and very charming person. She is local and knows bests in and out for the tourists in the area. The building has an elevator, big plus. Our room was impeccably clean and we had a good rest before departing to the next stop. Breakfast is very good, served downstairs and everything is fresh and tasty. The hotel is a very nice remodeled Chalet. We loved absolutely everything: the location, our room, small garden, breakfast and, of course, Maria. Maria called and scheduled next morning massage with a very talented professional . My legs were very tired after trip to Sintra and I was back to normal after an hour of the massage. We are going back to Alcobaca and Maria's Chalet on our next trip to Portugal. There is more to explore in the area!

The hotel is very pleasant in campsite, but near the city of Alcobaça. The rooms have a thematic decor based on chitas, a traditional fabric of this region. The spa is very pleasant: it has a small swimming pool, sauna and Turkish bath. The service is perfect, staff are careful and responsive, breakfast is abundant and varied!

I enjoyed my stay here. The facilities were great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool area was a lovely addition. My only comments would be, if you want space upgrade from the standard room and the shower had issues: the door was hard to close and the basin filled with water quickly.

Stayed here for one night while taking in the area surrounding Batalha / Alcobaça / Nazaré and found this to be the perfect place to rest our head for the night. The beds were comfortable, the design was aesthetically pleasing, the breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the location was ideally suited to visit all three places (two of which are listed as UNESCO sites). The staff were also quite accommodating, having rectified a small issue with the wifi efficiently and with extremely grace. The only slight drawback that I can mention during our stay was that the water temperature varied quite frequently, but that can be easily forgotten once the rest of the property and its many amenities are taken into account. Highly recommended. And although we didn’t manage to have dinner on the property, we’d highly recommend Pangeia in Nazaré if you’re ever in the region; a perfect compliment to your stay.

Esta casa es impresionante. Tiene todo lo que se le puede pedir a un alojamiento rural para desconectar del ruido urbano. Está ubicada en Aljubarrota, suficientemente cerca de varios núcleos grandes de población, cerca de zonas turísticas muy interesantes. A la vez, la propia casa es comodísima, con zonas variadas para juegos, descanso, lectura, piscina, … Tiene muchos formatos de habitaciones y apartamentos para viajar en familia, se aparca dentro de la finca, … El desayuno es excelente, natural, variado… Y la anfitriona y el personal son tan amables y enfocados a la satisfacción del huésped que impresiona. Un gran acierto de gestión, enhorabuena!

Modern, spacious, very nice bar and restaurant with view of city and ocean. Located on hill above city but not within walking distance of town, so need rental car or taxi. Very quiet. Nice room. Food at onsite restaurant was good. Breakfast provided. Only stayed two nights, but was able to get laundry
done and delivered before leaving in timely manner.

GGuest UserEsta casa es impresionante. Tiene todo lo que se le puede pedir a un alojamiento rural para desconectar del ruido urbano. Está ubicada en Aljubarrota, suficientemente cerca de varios núcleos grandes de población, cerca de zonas turísticas muy interesantes. A la vez, la propia casa es comodísima, con zonas variadas para juegos, descanso, lectura, piscina, … Tiene muchos formatos de habitaciones y apartamentos para viajar en familia, se aparca dentro de la finca, … El desayuno es excelente, natural, variado… Y la anfitriona y el personal son tan amables y enfocados a la satisfacción del huésped que impresiona. Un gran acierto de gestión, enhorabuena!

GGuest UserStayed here for one night while taking in the area surrounding Batalha / Alcobaça / Nazaré and found this to be the perfect place to rest our head for the night. The beds were comfortable, the design was aesthetically pleasing, the breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the location was ideally suited to visit all three places (two of which are listed as UNESCO sites). The staff were also quite accommodating, having rectified a small issue with the wifi efficiently and with extremely grace. The only slight drawback that I can mention during our stay was that the water temperature varied quite frequently, but that can be easily forgotten once the rest of the property and its many amenities are taken into account. Highly recommended. And although we didn’t manage to have dinner on the property, we’d highly recommend Pangeia in Nazaré if you’re ever in the region; a perfect compliment to your stay.

Very Good
From our room View was lovely as we paid extra to have a sea view. Inez was very prompt at solving a little lightbulb issue. Overall the whole hotel is looking very shabby…..tired. The breakfast was quite basic, although there was a small amount of fresh fruit & fresh yogurt every morning, and the bread was great. Possibly just better lighting in the area where breakfast is served would be good. The member of staff who checked us in, and dealt with breakfast every morning could possibly do with a bit of guidance about working in hospitality.

GGuest UserThe hotel is very pleasant in campsite, but near the city of Alcobaça. The rooms have a thematic decor based on chitas, a traditional fabric of this region. The spa is very pleasant: it has a small swimming pool, sauna and Turkish bath. The service is perfect, staff are careful and responsive, breakfast is abundant and varied!

Magnificent guest house 500 meters from the monastery. Very stylish place. The design is eclectic, but it doesn't spoil it. We had a bed with massive knobs and a high carved headboard as if from the XIX century and a modern room. The toilet and shower were nearby, but shared. Beautiful lobby, there is a kitchen with stove and refrigerator (not used). Breakfast is modest. The staff is friendly. There's even ping-pong. If we had stayed longer, we would have played!
