Everything is just great! We just fell in love with this place, with a large green yard, a pond, a swimming pool. We planned to stay here for 2 days, but ended up staying for a week and still don't want to leave! Everything is clean and wonderful, the service is excellent! Cool water, they put aromatic sticks around the yard if mosquitoes appear. They called and agreed on bikes with a discount. So we are very happy.

WWEN 2019.02.12
The hotel is located in Anda, away from the complex of Panglao and Tagbilaran. The entire resort has 16 rooms, closed management, very good privacy, with large white sand beaches and clean sea water. The hotel's double rowing boats and skateboards can be played for free. If you are not tall, you can snorkel at the beachside of the hotel. For free, the hotel’s diving club also provides life jackets. There are several professional diving instructors in the hotel's diving club to teach diving. The hotel's boat is going out for diving three times a day (for a fee). As long as ten minutes of boating, both my husband and I participated, seeing turtles and many fish and corals, regret it. In Panglao, I wasted time to go to Baricasa. There are many similar faults and corals on the bottom of Anda, so I can see a lot of things and the one-on-one coach here is very safe. Many guests are diving two times a day. However, this resort is located in Anda, two hours drive from Tagbilaran, renting a car from Tagbilaran to 3000P, we have a car park from Panglao to play the Butterfly Garden, the tarsier reserve and the Chocolate Hill total 5000P fare. It’s expensive, but it’s worth it. It’s not comparable to Panglao ALONA. The beach is white and delicate, and the sea is quiet and beautiful. It is suitable for families who like quiet vacation. Need to remind domestic tourists that the resort does not provide disposable items in order to reduce garbage, you need to bring your own toothbrush slippers, etc., and three meals a day are in the resort, there is basically no possibility of going out for food, wifi is slightly worse, from time to time dropped, but The original nature of the resort is kept very good, the service staff is professional and enthusiastic, the resort lives next to the OWNER family, and comes to chat with guests every day.

Nice people, it was fun with the birthday celebration, the band was ok.. It was our second time stays. Still we will come back again next year. Don't expect luxurious stay but it was a feeling of being in a home in front of the beach. The pool was good, though I don't like the idea of no lifeguard no swimming policy especially if you are an adult, you can't swim in the night anymore which is kinda unfair and boring...

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The lush green lawns, palm trees, and sparkling pool created a perfect tropical getaway. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, ideal for unwinding and enjoying nature. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and equipped with everything I needed for a pleasant stay. What truly stood out was the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional, always going above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Whether lounging by the pool or exploring the serene surroundings, every moment was delightful. This hotel is a true retreat from the hustle of daily life. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a relaxing and refreshing escape. I can’t wait to return!

Nothing but praise for this resort! We love the privacy and the beauty that this place offers. We were warmly greeted by Sam at check-in, and she told us the wonderful news that we got an upgrade. The room was bliss! We had our own jacuzzi that overlooked their islet. It was super relaxing. It also helped that the room had access to an ever-exclusive beach. What more can we ask for? Well, more apparently. The resort has its own natural underground freshwater spring cave. Glenn, our personal guide was super awesome. We enjoyed our conversations with him and the information he provided us made the visit to the cave more eventful. Ana at the restaurant was a standout. Always smiling yet super efficient. A wonderful dinner experience! Thank you to everyone for making us feel so welcome and always at home at the resort.

SSays_KatyThat's the end of our stay at this hotel in the executive suite. What we liked: Hotel location; Gorgeous landscapes from the room window; Pool area; Spacious swimming pool; Spacious room; The pool is properly planned; Very cute dogs and cats. They cheered us up.; The staff is very polite and tries to help with everything.; Relaxing massage; There was oatmeal on the breakfast menu, which is rare in the Philippines.; Your requests are being listened to. What didn't you like: A small selection of paid breakfast. There is no buffet and you need to choose from the menu. But you can only choose 1 dish and drink for each one. In other words, don't expect to try even a couple of dishes for prepaid money. Here you can choose only 1 dish for breakfast. The rest is paid. It became clear only on the 3rd day of the stay, as they could not understand how the breakfast system worked. We were charged 390 Philippine pesos for SPAM (or rather, three slices of local ham). It's expensive for this kind and quantity of food. •On the last day, the cost of paying for a fruit plate increased. It was 350 pesos, it became 400. •When ordering tom yam, we asked for additional shrimp (+250 pesos). We were served soup with 7 shrimp halves. We still haven't figured out how many shrimps there would have been without the extra ones we paid for. 🙈We thought they forgot to add additional ones. Then we saw the bill and additional shrimps were deposited. •Few seafood dishes. Considering that you are 50 meters from the sea. There are also few products with vegetables. We suffered because of this. There was no light food. •The leaves in each salad were stale. •Service fees were from everything. We understand when the service fee is for food, but we still don't understand why the fee was for a massage. That is, the fee for the massage + the service FEE for the massage. •There were also fees for filming shark swimming on our phone. We also did not understand why the fee, if the tour itself cost 7,500 pesos + 300 pesos was a service fee (again, we do not understand why it is not included in the total cost of the tour) + 260 pesos for shooting on the phone; I was disappointed that when booking an excursion to swim with sharks for 7,500 pesos, fishing was included, but no one offered it to us. They just took us, we swam and brought it back. They say the tour took 5 hours, but it was two and a half hours. •Hand soap has not been refilled in two days; • The automatic circulation of water in the pool was rarely turned on, so we swam with flies for two days... trying to catch them from there; •The performers were an hour late for the first tour, and 30 minutes late for the second. We don't understand why our time wasn't respected. • One shower wasn't working. There was no water coming out of it; • Often they didn't bring half of the dish. That is, if you ordered a meat plate with grapes, cheese and crackers, be prepared that I may not bring you crackers, but there will be 3 pieces of cheese. That's for 590 pesos. We ordered this plate twice, and two times we didn't get any crackers. The second time we asked and they informed us. Also, when ordering mashed potatoes with chicken, they brought us chicken without mashed potatoes. We asked and were informed. Everything was already cold. They didn't add a banana to the banana pancakes. Unfortunately, curtains are not blackout, for those who cannot sleep without them, bring a sleep mask. I write absolutely all the little things, as I am very careful about the service. I really liked this hotel. In any case, I recommend it wholeheartedly. After all, they communicate politely with you here, there are gorgeous views from a spacious room, and there is a large swimming pool. But I have to write down the little things so that the management can improve the quality of service so that staying at this hotel leaves only positive emotions for absolutely everyone! After all, the hotel is really beautiful!

GGuest UserWe had a very pleasant stay at Henann Alona Beach. The hotel is big, and it was very busy during checkin, however they have so many pools that you don’t notice the amount of people. We had a great time in the poolbar at happy hour, and spent all our time at the resort! Restaurants could use a bit more healthy options and breakfast some more vegetarian (there wasn’t even a plain yoghurt or granola bar, and more unhealthy choices) options. If you go out of the resort you directly walk into a street full of bars and restaurants! Gym was very well equipped and rooms where good. Please improve the curtains, since they were not blacking out the room.

GGuest UserExpensive, but worth it. Hospitality is top notch, never met so many nice people in my life, bed was very comfortable, everything was clean, and food was good. Massages were the best I’ve ever had in my life. If we ever came back to Panglao again, the ONLY reason we wouldn’t stay at Amorita again would be due to the price. Everything else was top notch.

DDaveBernersI stayed at this place with my wife for 5 nights. We are long term travelers. - location: the hotel is a bit far off, you will need to rent a scooter at the hotel to explore the area. Currently, roadworks makes the access a bit difficult but possible - staff: lovely staff that genuinely takes care about you. The receptionist (Sam) was really helpful with transportation advice as well as for any other query. - rooms: rooms are spacious and serviced daily. The AC works well and is silent (any long term traveler will know the value of this). There are blackout curtains and the beds are quite comfy - food: we loved the food at this place. The menu clearly displays the German ownership of the hotel and the portions are European sized but local food is available as well. - surroundings: the pool is clean and very nice, the area is surrounded by resident bungalows to which you have no access. All in all the hotel is value for money, certainly partly due to its location...

GGuest UserWe stayed at Henann Tawala Hotel for a week upon arriving in Bohol, and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel is spotlessly clean, living up to its 4-star rating. Upon arrival, the staff were very attentive—our bags were handled, and we were offered breakfast while our early check-in was expedited. One thing to be aware of is the 3,000 pesos per night damage deposit. If paid by credit card, any charges, such as room service or drinks at the swim-up bar, are deducted from it, with the balance refunded after checkout. The breakfast area is beautifully presented, with friendly staff who greet you warmly. After giving your room number and surname, you’re escorted to a table. However, we noticed some inconsistency in service—on some days we were offered coffee or tea, while on others we weren’t. There were also times when water wasn’t provided, so we ended up with double servings after fetching it ourselves. Consistency in service would enhance the experience, but the self-service station for coffee, water, and juices was convenient. Breakfast options were excellent, with plenty of variety to suit all preferences. Everything was well-prepared and delicious. One small issue was being asked to leave a yogurt behind when I tried to take it out of the breakfast area. I understand the rule to prevent excessive takeaway, but I felt a little flexibility could be applied for small items. The rooms at Henann Tawala are impressive—spacious with great bathrooms and lovely balconies. Among the best we’ve stayed in, they’re comparable to high-end hotels like Radisson Blu in Cebu or Seda Ayala Central Block. The reception staff were incredibly helpful. They arranged a reasonably priced van for our trip to Tagbilaran, and the driver was punctual, providing a comfortable ride. He even dropped us off at the right spot for catching a van to Anda at the Dao Bus Terminal. One nice perk of staying here is the short walk to Henann's beachfront property, where you can use the sun loungers shaded by palm trees and enjoy drinks served by the staff. However, you can’t use the pool there, and you need to pick up towels from Henann Tawala before heading to the beach. The beach is beautiful, but there are quite a few hawkers selling tours, which can be a bit of a nuisance. We found better deals on Facebook. The sea is warm, though there’s a fair amount of seaweed. I’d recommend snorkeling to watch your step, as there are starfish and possibly sea urchins. We only swam once. If you buy mangosteen from beach vendors (150-200 pesos), check for ants, as one of our bags was full of them! Just outside the hotel’s main gates, there’s an ATM and a laundry shop that charges around 400 pesos for 5 kg, returning clothes washed, dried, and folded by 5 pm. It’s much cheaper than the hotel’s laundry service. We also tried the Kajun Restaurant nearby, which offers excellent chicken sandwiches, fries, and milkshakes in an American diner style. On the beachfront, our favorite restaurant was the Oasis Resort’s upstairs bar and restaurant, which has a cooling breeze and a great view of the beach. Every dish we tried was fantastic, and we highly recommend it. While our stay at Henann Tawala was wonderful, Panglao itself felt quite touristy. There were many Korean tourists, and a lot of locals trying to sell tours and services, which sometimes felt overwhelming. Prices were higher than we expected, especially for things like tricycles, which cost 150 pesos per person compared to the 12 pesos we paid in the provinces. Restaurant prices were also inflated, and even basic supplies came at a premium. If you prefer a quieter, more authentic experience, I’d recommend visiting somewhere like Anda. It has a more laid-back, provincial vibe, with friendlier locals and a slower pace of life, making it a peaceful alternative to the busy, touristy atmosphere of Panglao.

MMommaI was worried that I wouldn't be able to sleep because of the noise from the chickens and dogs after reading the reviews, but I didn't have to worry. Some reviews mentioned a chicken farm, but there were only three or four chickens, and they didn't disturb my sleep at all. For reference, I am quite sensitive to noise. The swimming pool was very deep, making it great for practicing diving. All the facilities were well-maintained and clean, and the room was also cleaned while I was out, so I was able to stay comfortably. The only downside is that the location is far from Arona Beach, but I rented a motorbike, so it wasn't a big problem. ------- I was worried I wouldn't be able to sleep because of the noise from the chickens and dogs based on some reviews, but it turned out I had nothing to worry about. GGuest UserWhat a gem in Panglao!! 💎 A family owned boutique hotel that feels like a cozy home stay. Peaceful, artsy, clean and neat, with a very reliable wifi connection. They even serve the Yardstick coffee (for all the coffee lovers out there, this is your place). Although the owners and the staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make your stay memorable (love you all guys ❤️), the best part is the 4 little dogs that just brighten up your day every time you pass by. The pool was also clean and well maintained, and the omelette they serve for breakfast is rich with condiments and tasty! The hotel also rents out their own motorbikes which are all in a really good condition (unlike many of those you rent in random shops or in the street). Oh, and yeah, if you read in reviews that they have really high quality bed mattresses - I am attesting to that. Unless you put your alarm on, you won’t wake up. It’s that good! If you are not a fan of big hotel chains that treat you just like a number, then look no further. Thanks for having us guys and really hope to be back soon!!

I will be ready the next day.

GGuest UserI'm surprise to read quite a few negative reviews here about this hotel. Unfortunately, it pulled their ratings down as well. Too bad as this hotel really did a great job for us. First off, the staff was friendly and super accommodating! This is a last minute overnight booking for us. We were supposed to stay with a family but since our flight got delayed, we had to book here for the meantime. The late night airport transfer (airport pick-up) was the most convenient, as well as very helpful. The driver even offered to take us grocery shopping if needed. I mean, our flight arrived 1030pm via Korea (with 10hours layover) so both my teen son and I were exhausted. It's good to know we have someone reliable and friendly waiting for us. Despite the late night check-in, the staffs were smiling, cheerful and gave us a welcome lei necklace or shell necklace. It's my teen son's first time in Bohol, so he was happy at this unexpected welcome experience. Furthermore, our booking included a dinner for 2 but since we missed that due to our flight delay and will be checking out the next day, the staff changed that to 2 free lunch instead. That's another convenience for us, since our family will pick us up after lunch the next day. Our room and bathroom was clean and comfortable - 2 double beds, strong shower pressure, cold a/c and our room included a welcome water bottles for us, which again is an add on convenience for us (esp. arriving super late at night). With a teen in tow, WiFi is important. No issues on that as their WiFi was pretty strong. The hotel itself is situated in the quiet side of Pangloa, which is a plus for us exhausted travelers. We slept and rested very well that night after a nice hot shower. The next day, my teen was excited to look around the hotel property. The pool area was clean, huge and nicely decorated. It has that island feel to it. Unfortunately, it rained and there's a lightning/thunder alert hence he was unable to swim in the pool. However, we had fun strolling around the property. It has a welcoming vibe to it. We ate at their restaurant for lunch, even invited family over. Over all, a convenient, relaxing- stress free and comfortable overnight stay here. Will we stay here again? Definitely!
