It's a very nice hotel with a friendly owner, large rooms, complete facilities, clean and sanitary, good location, convenient parking and cheap price. I highly recommend it to everyone.

I have had the pleasure of staying at the Colonial Lodge Motel, in the northern end of Oamaru, twice in the last month or so. On both occasions I was very impressed by the reception staff who were both friendly and efficient. But this was just the start of what was to be great experiences. The motel facility on both occasions was sparkling clean, yet managing to appear inviting and homely. The rooms I stayed in were well supplied with everything I could need and consumables were of good quality. On my last visit i stayed 2 days and was delighted to find that tea, coffee, and cookies were replaced each morning. The bed was truly luxurious and this word stays as a lasting memory of the whole experience. Thank you to the whole team who create such a nice place to stay.

The sofa bed didn't feel like changing sheets. Because a lot of sand and the sheets inside were nestled together. The room is large and can cook. The bathroom is also very large, in general, the price is very high

A villa building, similar to a homestay, can park, the room is a bit small, the two single beds are relatively narrow, about 1 meter wide, breakfast is a simple breakfast prepared by the landlord, milk juice bread fried eggs, the location is slightly biased, there is no place to eat around.

They were amazing. Fitted me in at the last minute after my booking agency double booked me somewhere else. Room was very clean, and had everything I needed. Ground floor also, it was set up for complete disabled occupant and would have fit the bill nicely. Easy parking and a great restaurant on site. 5 stars!

We had the best service from the team at the Oamaru Motor Lodge. We were coming back from a concert in Dunedin and didn't make it to the accommodation until half past midnight. We had told them this in advance and they had left the room door open for us with the keys inside, with a little note on the table with the wifi password and some kind words. The place is lovely and comfortable, we would definitely come back!

We were made to feel so welcome. The room was incredibly spacious and spotless. Teas, plunger coffee, hot chocolate and fresh muffins as a welcome; so personal and special. Appreciated that we could drive right up to the door and limit bag movement. The kitchenette allowed us to prepare really well for the next part of our trip. Heated and electric blankets - we had to turn them off after a short time. Out of a large selection of Motels, I suggest you just choose this one and save yourself time.

The rules in the store are very strange. After I went there, I used the omelette pan in the morning and brushed it, but the other party put it in the cabinet without drying it and took out all the pans. My suggestion is, if there are Please state the rules in advance. This hotel does not have a dishwasher. We have indeed stayed in so many B&Bs and hotels, and each one has different rules. It is recommended that you make it clear. Everything else is fine. The location is not far away. There are supermarkets and sports parks nearby. You can go to the beach to listen to the sea, but it is not recommended to go down because it is quite dangerous. I would like to praise the Chinese restaurant next door, Panda Restaurant, which tastes good and the probability of eating food nearby is relatively low. After playing in New Zealand for a long time, my body cannot stand without eating food.

The location of the hotel is very good in the center of Oamaru and close to the big supermarket. Our room can accommodate three people. It is a parent-child room with complete facilities including microwave oven, bread machine, refrigerator, etc.
