Very good location close to the main road. Bakery opposite. The supermarket is less than a kilometer away. Good laundry along with a drying room (thanks to the nice lady from the reception I did not have to pay extra). Very nice and helpful staff. My room with the bathroom was small, but in my opinion it was worth the price I paid.
The location is quite superior. On the main road, there is a gas station nearby. There is a convenience store with a late opening hours. It is rich in things. Many restaurants in the town are closed at 9:00 in the evening. There is also a side. Park, good scenery. The front desk was very nice and the reception was very kind. When checking in, I also sent local fresh milk. The labor cost is higher there, and the front desk and the cleaning seem to be one person, so it is best to clean it when you check out. There is also a beach in Timaru. In the evening, you can see the blue penguin homing. If you miss the Omaru Penguin Protection Center, you can choose to watch it inside.
DATE OF TRAVEL: July 2023 Stayed here for 3 days for a business trip. First impressions were.... disappointing. The hotel was empty, the chef was also at reception and the building looks run down. HOWEVER, check in was fast, the rooms were well appointed, if well travelled, and the bed was very comfy. Sadly I didn't get back to my hotel room until late night each night but the breakfast was fantastic and affordable. All the staff were super friendly, welcoming and accomondating. Room walls were thick as I didn't hear my colleagues in the other rooms at all, even when we were talking. Shower was great. Good pressure and the bathroom had all the basic amenities you would need for a regional motel. Though some people may not like it, the interestingly spaced corridors made the hotel feel like a rabbit warren and I actually quite enjoyed that. The gym was probably the best one I'd seen in all of my hotel stays in Canterbury. I was really impressed. Sadly it was closed before I left and when I came back so didn't get a chance to try it. It's only a few minutes away from the main restaurant ***** of the town and the food at all of them was fantastic. Caroline Bay Beach is beautiful and I enjoyed my morning walks there. Would I stay again? Though I may never have a need to again, most definitely if the need did arise. First looks are certainly deceiving with this place but push through it and you'll find yourself a gem of a stay =)

The motel is conveniently located near the Botanical Gardens south of the centre of Timaru. It is on a main road, but we heard no road noise, despite being only two units back from the entrance. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had the impression that our unit had been built a couple of decades back, but had been renovated to a modern standard. It was spacious, with a large living room, a small kitchen, a spacious bathroom, and two bedrooms each with a large double bed (this meant the space around them was quite narrow). We were very comfortable there.
What a lovely experience. Unfortunately, I don't recall the name of the lovely woman who served me at reception. She was so warm, friendly and welcoming. Wonderful manaakitanga. The room was perfect for what I needed and super toasty warm when I arrived on a -2 degree evening. Good selection of hot drinks and was given a free can of drink on arrival too, as well as some drink vouchers for a local establishment. Room was extremely clean and well kept. Bed was the perfect firmness and very comfy. I also took advantage of the spa bath. Honestly, cannot complain! Would definitely stay there again.
Stayed at Aspen on King for 4 nights with my Ma and we absolutely loved it. Just a hop into the village and such a great unit too. We had one of the wheelchair access units which meant it had a big open wet floor shower, it was great for Ma that it wasn't a shower over bath situation. The wee kitchen was perfect for cooking a meal at night and the amenities were ample. Hosts were great also, very obliging 👍. Beds were very comfy and pillows very soft. Full size fridge and had a front and back door which created a nice breezy flow through. Television with DVD built in and tones of great DVDs to borrow from the reception.
Temporary decision to go to Timaru, so I read the review of this house, very good, fixed three rooms, two bedrooms, the kitchen can cook, but the landlord said that the booking shown on the booking is two people, let me again The cost of paying a child, I said, I understand the rules of accommodation in New Zealand, specially selected three people, as for the booking how to determine, I do not know, the landlord is not embarrassed, just say good.
The motel room I have stayed in is quite big, it is a suite, with the hall facing the road, so that the bedroom is not noisy. It is clean and the facilities are relatively new. The landlord likes to share raising butterflies, the kind that start with larvae, and observe the growth process:)

Excellent
I have stayed at Bay Viaduct many times over the year for work. Without fail the level of service from Carol and Noel is outstanding, the rooms are immaculate and very comfortable. I always feel at home here.
WWander29287603211We received a very warm welcome at check in and enjoyed our stay in a spacious room. Good cooking facilities, comfortable bed and good size bathroom. Located a short distance from the main shops, bars and restaurants this motel is well placed. We felt we received very good service and that we enjoyed value for money. We have no hesitation in recommending this motel to fellow travelers.
GGuest UserWe stayed here while on a biking trip in the South Island. It was two level accomodation adjacent and below a main road. Walking distance to green areas and supermarket. The unit was clean but had an unusual layout in the bathroom and second bedroom which wasn't ideal. There was no sound proofing between floors where we had kids running around upstairs late into the night and workers using this as a base coming and going. It was not restful with additional traffic noise. Wife was not happy with the amount of light from outside lights reflecting onto the ceiling from the top of the curtains. The manager/owner was very pleasant and helpful and we were able to park safely with our bikes. Location was ideal for us although entry was via a side street. Would be stay again. Probably not.
This place was ok. Quite basic but also a little bit cheaper. The hotel is only accessible by some sets of stairs above a restaurant so we had to lug our heavy baggage one by one up there. The sound travels easily between rooms and the room doesn’t actually have a kitchen with a sink, there’s a shared one on the floor apparently. That’s a little misleading in the advertising on booking.
HHSIUCHUThe bed slept comfortably. The equipment is in Yangchun, the bathroom is narrow, and the vanity top is veneered, and it has been opened without a hair dryer. The inside of the kettle turns yellow and is not good enough to use. Poor sound insulation, audible sound next door.
YYangyang05The location is next to the road, so there will be noise at night when cars pass by quickly and the houses here are generally not soundproofed. But if the room is near the parking lot, maybe it can be improved. Everything else is perfect, because there is a living room and an open kitchen, two bedrooms (one with a single bed and one with a double bed), a separate bathroom with dry and wet areas, and a hair dryer, which is a great deal
