Find the Cheap Te Awamutu Hotels

Located at the entrance to the main thoroughfare, about a 5-minute walk from the city center streets. There are many restaurants nearby and the rooms are basically fully equipped. Vehicles can be parked in front of the room door.

IMPECCABLE SERVICE! We are staying here and were greeted by a lovely Receptionist lady with a big smile. Super friendly, after a busy day. The restaurant INCREDIBLE SERVICE, one of the best I've ever had. From a Māori gentleman and Māori female. Super kind and helpful, attention to detail. The food was amazing!!! Unfortunately pool is closed. But nice secluded location. My company stuffed up and all other places were booked, but I'm glad. Rooms and beds big.

This was a very comfortable cottage in a rural setting just out of town. The cottages located close to the main house open onto a lovely garden. Checking in was easy and the staff very helpful. The only criticism we had was that the lighting in the bathroom was a little poor.

I stayed here for one night in August 2023. The lodge is about a ten-minute drive from Hamilton airport, and a couple of minutes into Cambridge. It would probably be a half-hour walk. The lodge is located on a quiet rural road, just off one of the main roads into Cambridge. The setting is very peaceful. The room was very large with a kitchenette and separate bathroom. It would be ideal for a long stay as it has all the conveniences. In the complex there's a room with a large-screen TV and kitchenette and vending machines (a social area where people can mix), a laundry, charging point for electric vehicles, and plenty of carparking. I chose Podium Lodge given its closeness to Hamilton airport and would certainly do so again.

I had two units to accommodate myself and my teenage son and a separate unit for an elderly relative. The TV volume would not go past 20 as it was pre-set. This made it impossible to be used by my elderly relative. The owners spent ages trying to find out how to change the setting. Eventually they got on the phone to the people they were rending the TV from and got instructions on how to change it which was good of them to make that effort. The unit my elderly relative was in had a walk in shower with a fold down seat which made it extra safe. Considering there was road works right outside the unit the double glazed windows kept almost all of the sound out. Overall a very good motel and the attentive friendly owners never showed any annoyance at the many requests for assistance that they got. I really appreciated their patience. The pillows are a little large and solid. If you are a pillow fuss pot like I am you should bring your own favourite pillow if possible.

We stayed early Nov 2023 for our sons wedding. The accommodation is very clean and everything there that you need. Large bathrooms and there was plenty of water and milk provided in the fridge on the first floor. The beds were large and comfortable. The venue for weddings is perfect, plenty of parking and room for large groups in the common areas. The reception room is perfect with a view from all the windows it makes a great backdrop for the photos. The grounds are very well kept and it was a delight to stay there. The staff are so attentive, hard working and so friendly and efficient. Check in was a breeze, very informative and helpful. The continental breakfast was very well catered for starting the day. Thank you everyone at The Narrows Landing, I will be highly recommending to family and friends.
