Awesome place to stay. 10/10. This hotel is located in a lovely place. Definitely will comeback to this hotel soonest. Me and my wife enjoyed our stay in here.
Check in by yourself, the boss is Chinese, you can communicate in Chinese, the location is very quiet and not noisy
But the bed was soft, especially on the side, it collapsed, and the roof often made noises. The room was affixed to the sound of wood heat and cold. I thought it was an animal fighting on the roof.
The house itself is very complete and new, but far from the lake, there is no lake view, and unfortunately, the day we went, it happened to catch up with the power outage in the town, there were no candles, and the emergency measures without lighting were a bit unacceptable!
Excellent

Very smart that the breakfast is included in the booking, saving us time and effort. Everything is super clean, staff are all very helpful and friendly, I had great chats with them, and received a lot of help.
We booked late, arrived even later but check in was so simple with a code for the digital door lock. A newly built residence, well appointed for families with 4 bedrooms, parking for 2 vehicles, very warm and cosy. Another plus, Two living areas so kids can settle and watch tv or play games in one whilst adults socialise in the main living area. Plenty of heating, plenty of blankets, no-one was cold. Highly recommend!
The room is spacious, clean, well-equipped and convenient for stargazing. From the room you can enjoy the beautiful view of Lake Tekapo and snow-capped mountains. However, the requirements for garbage sorting are relatively high.
Pros:
Everything was clean.
There was ample heating.
Relatively near the main tekapo area (1 min drive).
House was spacious.
Cons:
The wifi password was handwritten badly and it was a guessing game to get the password. Also uncontactable via email.
No barricade around the house and there’s other houses right next door. People could walk by your room / house windows and peer in. Which was what happened to me twice. Zero privacy unless curtains are fully drawn.
Great Stay Near Lake Tekapo!
The unit was sparkling clean and spacious, with a lovely courtyard to enjoy. The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable, ensuring a good night's rest.
Contrary to some reviews, no deposit was required, which was a pleasant surprise. The location is fantastic—less than a 5-minute drive to Lake Tekapo—and parking right in front of the unit was very convenient. The check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow.
The facilities were great overall especially kitchen amenities and 2in1 washer with dryer!
The dish wash machine helps lot on the kitchen cleaning work!
The only suggestion I have for improvement would be to add a fence in the shower area to separate the wet and dry zones, which would make it even better.
Overall, a wonderful stay. Highly recommend!

Outstanding
LLWS021Great place for a one night! Bar and grill right next door and the stunning view in front of the hotel 💯
PPangsilichadeThe hotel is great, with two floors, spacious and bright rooms, clean and sanitary. The first floor is the living room and dining room, with an open kitchen. The tableware is complete, and there is a fireplace, which must be very warm in winter. There are many TV programs, and you don't need a Netflix membership to watch them directly. In addition, there are many children's educational toys. There is also a private garden. The second floor is the bedroom, and there is a small balcony where you can sit on the balcony and bask in the sun. This kind of room is very suitable for a family vacation, but it's a pity that I only stayed for one night, and I should have stayed longer.
GGuest UserWhen I booked, there were only two rooms left, and there were not many hotels to choose from in the town. I didn't expect this hotel to be so good. It's about a 5-minute walk from the Shepherd's Church. You can see the lake view. The decoration facilities are relatively new and the style is also very nice.
KKa KaThe stay was good, nice location. Just the kitchen too pack especially during dinner time. Kitchenware (pans, bowls cutleries etc) provided in the room we have to bring it down to the kitchen every time we need to prepare food in the kitchen.
GGuest UserThis was by far the best place I stayed at while traveling through New Zealand, even though there wasn’t anyone there to check us in. The process was still incredibly easy—getting the check-in information emailed to me was simple and straightforward. When I arrived, the room was clean, modern, and cozy, and they even left us a small gift since it was Christmas Eve. It was such a thoughtful touch that made the stay feel extra special. The unit also had laundry facilities, which was a huge bonus after living out of our suitcases for over a week. I would definitely stay here again—it had everything we needed and more, making it feel like a home away from home.
GGuest UserThis accommodation is located near to Lake Tekapo and Four Square grocery store. 5-7 min drive to Tekapo hot springs (star gazing).
Good amenities provided - kitchenette, dish washer, coffee maker, utensils, washing machine and wifi connection. No mirror cast available at TV - it’s connected to Sky cable TV programmes.
Unfortunately, we did not find the bed comfortable - bedroom is too small for both of us. Limited car park lots.
AAnonymous UserNot good. The facilities are not proportional to the price. It is unreasonably expensive. I stayed here for one night and moved to the Blue Water Hotel by the lake. It is not only more than a thousand cheaper than this one, but also of much higher quality. This one is a rip-off, probably only open during the Spring Festival, specifically for Chinese people
Post some pictures of the Blue Water Hotel, which one do you recommend!
AAnonymous UserI had a wonderful stay in a great location. It was close to Lake Tekapo and the supermarket on the lakeside, and I could see the stars from the garden at night. The area was full of accommodations, but it was quiet and I felt safe. The room was clean, there were two bathrooms, two bedrooms, and the living room was very spacious. There were indoor slippers, so I changed into my shoes, but I think it would be better if the dirt floor was a little larger. But I had a very good time. Thank you very much.
AAnonymous UserThe door lock is not very easy to use. The touch is not good. I pressed some numbers several times but it didn't work. Then the alarm sounded. It couldn't be closed and I pressed it several times before it opened. It was a bit troublesome.
GGuest UserDisadvantages
1. It takes 15 minutes to walk down from Intercity, all uphill, and on gravel roads, so it's too tiring to drag luggage.
2. Self-service check-in, no front desk. It's really inconvenient to have no front desk.
3. The wifi is unstable, always unable to open, and stuck.
4. My room faces the road, and there is no gauze curtain, so I can only choose between privacy and darkness.
5. All the service staff are Chinese, and their English is not good, but fortunately I am Chinese.
6. Although they are Chinese, they still feel quite impersonal. I, a girl, asked them to give me a ride when I checked out, but they all had cars, and it was only a 5-minute walk, but they didn't help. It just made people feel uncomfortable.
7. You need to learn garbage classification seriously, and you will be fined $50 if you misclassify. The documents guiding classification are all in English, and you need to be good at English, which is still quite complicated.
8. Although there is a kitchen, there is no induction cooker, only a microwave.
9. The quilts are quite dirty, but fortunately they give a blanket.
Advantages
1. There is no problem with electric blankets and heating. It's not cold even though it's so remote.
2. You can see the stars directly at night without joining a stargazing group.
