This should be a motel run by Chinese people. The front desk staff can speak Chinese. It is far from the town center, but it is not a big deal since most people travel by car. As a motel for a rest stop, it is neither good nor bad, but it is strictly forbidden to charge electric vehicles here, even if it is equipped with a standard car charger for household power. I communicated with the front desk several times, but was rejected even though I expressed my willingness to pay the fee and bear the risk. Friends who travel by electric vehicle should try to book a hotel with a destination charger, especially on the west coast where there are few charging stations, which may be a bit worrying.

The room is clean and tidy, with complete facilities and good value for money. It is very close to the hiking route to Fox Town and the fireflies. You can drive there in about 5 minutes after sunset.

When we arrived, the receptionist was out, so our order was posted on the glass outside. We looked at the name and found the room number and went directly to the room. The key was hanging on the keyhole at the door. The room was well-equipped, but we were too lazy to cook, so we found a popular restaurant 100 meters away from us.

If I encounter any problem, I will find a way to help you solve it.

A typical motel with its own kitchen and bathroom. The room facilities are very good and the hygiene is also very good. In addition to the bed, there are sofas, dining tables and dining chairs. There are front and back doors, parking on one side, and a lawn and leisure platform on the other side. The service staff is very enthusiastic and will tell you the nearby tourist information and weather conditions. The hotel is on the Fox Glacier Road. Go to Lake Mathisen and the glacier viewing point on the right hand side of the door. Just drive straight and follow the road signs. No navigation is required. In short, it is cost-effective and very satisfactory.

The location is very close to the location of the walking glaciers. The password is unlocked. The first sign of the church is still reserved. It is very prominent on the door, the glass is good, the kitchen and other equipment are OK, and the wine is prepared... the attic can not live. Look at the mountain, there is a chair on the top... The air conditioner is not strong enough, the space is empty, and the wind can be felt here in the washing machine position below, but on the sofa, the curtains are pulled up for the first time, and the three sides of the glass are lit. At the same time, the same heat... Lifting the hair of the existing electric fan ceiling fan is not bad, relieved... At night, the back of the bed is not against the wall, there is a beak on the opposite side, the glass can still be accepted, lying down and found that the top is red! Individuals will fall asleep after fatigue! It varies from person to person...

Very nice staff, everything was perfect. Breakfast could be better but quite standard in NZ.

The male receptionist who greeted us was not particularly friendly; and only when we got to our first floor room did we read about a luggage service. The room was tastefully furnished and clean, and other staff we interacted with were friendly. However the biggest issue is that the walls between rooms are are paper thin so we could hear people next door and doors banging. This woke us up early on both nights we stayed. If you stay - bring ear plugs. There was a lounge with a bar - the bar was permanently closed so there was no where to get a hot or cold drink unless you went to a cafe down the road.

The hotel facilities are average, but they have everything you need. The location is very good, on the main street, very close to the meeting point for glacier hiking, and only 5 minutes walk from the trail where you can see fireflies. The boss is very nice, answering all questions and introducing us to many surrounding attractions. I forgot to mention that the boss is Chinese, and I felt very close to him because he could communicate in Chinese.
