Find the Cheap Den Burg Hotels

Allereerst wil ik met het positieve beginnen: -Het personeel was super aardig, vriendelijk en meegaand; -Het ontbijt was goed verzorgd; -Parkeerplaats was goed toegankelijk; -De ligging nabij het centrum was goed. Maar nu waarom dit ”hotel” eigenlijk geen hotel mag heten: De Prijs per kamer voor 3 nachten, E540. E180/nacht/logies/ontbijt. Voor zo'n prijs kun je in luxieuze hotels verblijven en dat verwacht je dan ook bij het boeken. ---＞SCHANDALIG＜--- om zo'n uitgeleefd hok en jaren '60 jeugdherberg voor die prijs aan je klanten aan te bieden! Uitleg: 1e De kamer zelf was een smakeloos hok, waar je je nauwelijks kon bewegen. De lamp was naar schatting 5 watt, waarbij je na zonsondergang nauwelijks kon zien waar je liep op de kamer. 2e De deuren waren voorzien van een deurdranger (waarom eigelijk), opzich niet zo erg, maar als ze dan dusdanig zijn afgesteld dat je met veel moeite de deur open krijgt en een persoon hem dan moet tegenhouden terwijl de ander de koffers naar binnen moet zien te krijgen, is dat niet leuk meer. Als je de deur vervolgens los laat gaat hij als een sneltrein dicht en laat een behoorlijke dreun door het gebouw gaan: smorgens om zes uur gaan de eersten de deur uit met als gevolg: het hele hotel wakker. Daarna steeds als er iemand vertrekt van zijn kamer weer zo'n dreun. Van wat uitslapen is dus geen sprake. De deur kon je aan de binnenkant niet met een sleutel afsluiten zodat het personeel met de loper zo zou kunnen binnen stappen. 3e De bedden. Elk hotel heeft voor partners wel 2 persoons bedden. Hierna heb ik ook gevraagd. Die blijken er dus niet te zijn. Ok. Maar als je dan snachts een keer wat omstuimig omdraait en je deuvelt met matras en al van je bed, omdat deze op een lijkt wel soort olielaag op een verhoging ligt, wat dan het ledikant moet verbeelden, is ook daar de lol gauw af. 4e Nog nooit een kamer meegemaakt waar je geen raam of draai/kiepdeur open kon zetten! Hier was slechts een schuifpui en die laat je s'nachts niet openstaan. Zeker niet als die direct aan een voor iedereen toegankelijk plein ligt. Overigens ging deze zo stroef dat je hem met tweeën moest opentrekken en dicht duwen! 5e Airco hebben ze waarschijnlijk nooit van gehoord. Bij 26+ graden is het prettig slapen als je dan ook nog geen raam open kunt zetten. 6e Achter het ”hotel” zit nog een bedrijf, wat bij nacht en ontij met materieel langs jouw deur komt ronken. 7e De gehorigheid in het ”hotel” was super. Je kon bijna letterlijk horen wat de buren tegen elkaar zeiden. 8e De ”badkamer”. Het tegelwerk uit de jaren '60 was met een lijvige verf overschilderd. Overal bladderde het en zag er schandalig uit. Er hingen twee dunne handdoeken waarmee je je nauwelijks kon afdrogen na het douchen/badderen. Met een ruime meerprijs bestelden we een kamer met whirlpool. We verheugden ons hierop: lekker met tweeën in de whirlpool. Wat een deceptie. Het was een te kort en te smal een persoons ligbad met wat waterstraaltjes. 9e Heel wat mensen gaan teg

This was our second time in Texel, and as for the first time it became an excellent stay. We were staying at the Grand Hotel Opdion in the Atlantique room (90m2); very nice room, friendly staff, dog friendly. The hotel is located at 5-10mns walk to the beach, and same distance to the center of the village with all restaurants shops etc.. Since the restaurants were closed in NL (lockdown..) we used the room service and it was fine. The sauna was always busy so we could not try it during our 3 days stay, the gym is very small and contain only (used..) cardio equipment. One thing to mention: we did not have any cleaning in 3 days, this maybe because the cleaning was done while we were back in the room? we got once new towels and new garbage bags. All in all a very good stay. :-)

Breakfast Western-style breakfast has salad, bread, fruit, juice, coffee, but no hot milk. Our two large and two small hotels have prepared three single beds in advance. It is recommended to park your car in the free parking lot two hundred meters behind the hotel near the sea. There was a carnival outside the window at night, and it was three or four in the morning, but I could still fall asleep. There is a Chinese restaurant with a buffet one hundred meters nearby, thirty euros per person.

We spent 5 days there with 8 people. It was the second time, the first time we were enthusiastic. Because everything went well. During our stay four weeks ago, the hotel's own car park was being renovated. So it was a private construction project. Nevertheless, we rented the rooms to the car park at the full price. When the bulldozers rolled up at 7:00 a.m., we asked for a solution. We were told that a discount would not be a solution, but we could be offered a quieter room in a lower category for two nights (out of a total of 5). We would have even done that, but we were not allowed to leave our things in the room, which was actually unrentable at that time, because the management said that it could still be rented out again. Who would want to pack all their things and move for two out of 5 next? This is unacceptable. Honestly, renting out two rooms (we had booked 4 months in advance) to well-paying returning guests when you know that the bulldozer will be rolling in at 7:00 in the morning is an absolute impertinence. Then came cheeky answers like: ”after you were at the reception at 7:00 a.m. and I complained, they were waiting until 8:00 a.m. (that was the case on the first day) - now don't make such a fuss.” So we cancelled all the spa treatments and went out to eat every evening, with 8 people,. the plan was to stay in the hotel the whole time.... When we checked out, they offered us one night out of 5 for free, after I asked the management several times - according to the law, much bigger discounts are possible, but they refused. Conclusion: 5 days for 165,- the night with bulldozers who started at 7:00 and worked the whole day, 10 metres in front of our window. In the eyes of the management, no reason not to rent out these two rooms. Actually, we wanted to come every year with the whole family, but with such a attitude..... When everything is going well, everyone is terribly friendly, but when there is a problem, the focus is on profit instead of customer satisfaction. Really unwise.
