A hotel that I have already visited in 2019, what surprised me is that the prices are always the same, reasonable, a person for 160 to 200 dhs despite everything having been renovated, it's a jackpot. , bedrooms, plasma televisions. The receptionists are very welcoming. if you are looking for a jackpot hotel in Tangier, Astoria is the right place.

Going at the end of March, the hotel is located in the mountainous area on the outskirts of Tangier, Morocco, and the scenery is relatively good. But because it is Ramadan, there are not many basic guests, and the swimming pool is under maintenance. The buffet for $50 per person is relatively low cost, the food is not much and it is not added, the customer service staff basically does not understand English, and the communication is relatively difficult. Breakfast ordered a 200ml cup of orange juice, charged $12, a bit outrageous, of course, the room facilities reached the five-star standard. After leaving the hotel, I found that I had overcharged an inexplicable $250 and had asked the bank for a refund. The overall service level can be at the star level of 2-3. Not recommended, the price is too low.

The hotel is a bit far from downtown Tangier. Fortunately, the hotel has business cars to various locations in the city. The hotel departs every hour every hour and the return trip is half an hour at the drop-off point, which is very convenient. We booked a three-bedroom, one-room sea-view room. The living room was large, with a three-seater sofa and two single sofas, and a round table. Fully equipped kitchen pans and pans. In addition, the hotel breakfast is the best and richest of all hotels along the way.

The hotel is not in the city center but at the beach. The room size is very large. The service is good, but the price of the car charter is too expensive, and the euro is paid at the time of settlement, but the Dirham is deliberately changed. Others are fine.

I stayed for one day and liked it so I stayed for a total of 4 days.
It has an old feeling, and the weak water pressure is the downside, but overall I was satisfied.
However, you have to pay a separate parking fee of Dh50 per day.

Whether walking or using public transportation, everything is within reach. Another highlight of my stay was the breakfast. This was a difficult stay at this hotel. The hotel did not appear to be set up for the season and was severely impacted by Ramadan. The bedroom was basic, but clean and comfortable. TV didn't work but it didn't matter. It was noisy, not from the hotel but from the street outside as people seemed to go on the street after dusk till around 02.45am. Dinner supplied was fine, although they only had 1 bottle of wine in the whole hotel and approximately 4 bottles of beer. There were 20 in our party and other guests staying. There were only about 4 small bottles of soft drink to purchase. The bar did not open until the second night. Breakfast was poor on day 1 and worse on Day 2. There was 1 waiter who worked very slowly. 1 pot of coffee for 20 people which of course ran out quickly, not enough cups and not enough breakfast. Day 2 there was also another group in and so when we arrived at 08.00, there was no breakfast left, no coffee, no hot water and not even any cereal. We bought breakfast at the train station later that day. Whilst we could make allowances for the fact that Ramadan was taking place, this does not excuse the breakfast issue, which was unacceptable.

Our experience with the restaurant in particular was not pleasant. Rude and unprofessional staff who didn’t keep their promises and were highly disorganized. We called 2 days prior to book a table for our whole family and explained that we wanted to celebrate dad’s birthday and bring a cake, ”no problem with that” - they said. However, when we were there, the restaurant was full and the lack of organization from the staff made it so difficult to be available. We had to wait for 20 to 30 minutes sometimes for a waiter to make a request. After finally finishing our meal I called multiple waiters for the cake surprise, which we had already given them at arrival. They kept promising to bring it but didn’t. My husband then had to go address the issue to the “head waiter“ but the latter ignored him and didn’t even give him a minute of his time. Later on, I called the same “head waiter“ and he responded with an unacceptable attitude blaming me for “giving him extra work“ and for not remembering to whom I gave the cake. By the time they “found” the cake - mind you there was only one other person celebrating their birthday- we were too tired and disappointed so we paid and left. Having worked at foodservice, I understand the pressure of working such a demanding job. However, being rude and blaming your client for your mistake cannot be tolerated. With organization and politeness, our experience might have been different and better with Chellah Restaurant. For now, I do not recommend and will not go back.

Amazing terrace Nice easy Place to reach close to the beach nice helpful staff room was nice you can value for the money you pay , and beware there is tax city to pay at the place (2 Euro) per person . Had to come back after check out , was both mistake no body was at the reception when i left ! Thank you every one recommend to stay

GGuest UserThe room is generally OK, the location is good, and the supporting facilities are complete. I forgot something when I checked out, and I went back to look for it a few hours later. The front desk helped me put it away, which was a very good service attitude. Stayed for two days in a row. Very satisfied!
