The room is clean and specious for 3 of us and the lacking only no toothbrush provided, only 2 towels instead we paid for 3 persons. Breakfast was ok only the noodles is not properly cooked as it is still hard to chewed😅. (Still room for improvement)
The main highlights was the service we received from the bellboy Mangala. He is very helpful, approachable and always smiling.
Others then that it is easy to get the public transportation i.e. tuk tuk and car.
Definitely we will be coming back again.

It's not bad. The facilities are a bit old. I've stayed here once. The waiters are convenient and efficient, and there's a lot of food downstairs. It takes ten minutes to walk to the beach.

The hotel is not new, but the room was clean and some colonial styling makes this not new at all unnoticeable. The rooms are not very large, rather for single travelers or for a short stay, one night. Good job by the staff.

This is a small hotel that amazes me, an old villa remodeled. I am looking at the delicious Japanese restaurant in the Trip.com user reviews. I decisively chose to stay because Sri Lanka is very tired. The best choice is that there are delicious foods near the hotel. I don't need to charter a car to return to the hotel and go out to find food. Stayed for a few days, the hotel itself was opened by the Japanese, the management was very good, the staff was very high, polite, punctual, and helped me return the hand left in the restaurant to the room. The passport cash inside was complete. There are not so many choices of Japanese food, but the quality is very good! The hotel is spotless, it is recommended to install an exhaust fan in the toilet, and a self-service laundry room is perfect.

Manipati Hotel in Colombo, an old house built in 1906, was once the private residence of the Correa family. Stepping into the hotel, it feels like traveling through time and space, and deeply appreciates the texture polished by time. The hotel cleverly retains the original colonial architectural details and historical and cultural atmosphere. The hotel has only a few rooms, and my room was unexpectedly upgraded with a small garden. A chair and a small coffee table in the corner became a good place for me to read. In the morning, squirrels jumped between the trees, green parrots played on the white walls, and I enjoyed a quiet time in the swimming pool in front of the door. Thank you!

Nice place, more importantly friendly staff who made my stay pleasant. Definitely there is room for improvement in terms of tidiness, food and providing amenities (i had to call reception and ask for towels, water and coffee sachets, but this is not a big worry for me as they sorted things in few minutes. I love this place and definitely my first choice for the next visit to colombo. The place is close to good restaurants and grocery stores, and has parking as well.

I stayed there for a night and extended the stay for one more night.
There's a kettle, water, glasses and cups, coffee and tea, a fridge, bottles of shampoo/conditioner and lotion. You can have breakfast on the sixth floor, and there's a great café called Grind nearby. Two supermarkets - Spar and another one - within 5-10 minutes on foot.
The towels had tone cream spots on them, and they don't seem to clean every day (on the second day, i called to ask for some water and toiletries, but only got water). Besides, i heard the noise of the vacuum cleaner in the hall at 9:30 pm - i requested a quiet room and was trying to fall asleep, so that was disappointing.

GGuest UserLocation of this hotel was excellent but unfortunately service lets it down.
At the breakfast buffet the first day was excellent after that it was a steady decline. We had to ask for a cup of coffee numerous times from different waiters before getting one minus sugar, saucers & teaspoons. One morning one of the managers in yellow tie picked up our plates unfortunately I hadn’t finished & had to grab my good before the plate was taken.
With room service one time we had no hand towels that was no big deal the next day they cleaned the room & left no towels they told us they would be back in 5 mins with towels one & a half hours later we had to ring reception to be told they would send someone up straight away, over 2 hours later we finally received our towels.
In the cafe we sat at a table had to ask for menus waited over an hour & a half but no one took our order!
Not to mention our room bell rang at 11:10pm & someone trying to open our door when we shouted out they said they were bringing us water!

GGuest UserPricing was excellent. Location was close to National Museums, the beach, shopping districts, and more all within either 10 min walking distance to 5-10 min tuk-tuk ride. Cleanliness was overall very clean. However, in our first night at the smoking-allowed floor, we found two small termites on our bed. Rest of the night was completely fine and when we eventually moved to a non-smoking floor, we had no bug issues at all. Now the best highlights of Cinnamon Red were their service, hospitality, and facilities. With a small but quaint pool and deck on the top floor, we watched the beautiful Sri Lanka sunset. There's a decent gym there too. Breakfast was marvelous, that is if you don't mind having Sri Lankan style breakfast of spices, curries, and egg hoppers - ”western” options were plenty from poached eggs, bacons, sausages fruits, musseuli, yogurt, order-made omelets, waffles and pancakes, all accompanied by the famous Ceylon tea to die for. Lastly, I cannot praise enough the kindness, hospitality, and smiles from the staff. They were incredibly helpful and supportive to any and all of our requests. Do bring your own soap, shampoo, and conditioners and cameras because the way the hotel is designed, you get an unclustered, incredible view of Colombo from any room.

We had Christmas dinner buffet and it was one of the best ever, with an amazing amount of choice.The staff were very friendly and helpful, they certainly know what hospitality means. Easy to recommend!

GGuest UserHighly recommend staying at Granbell hotel. The hotel has good location, about 45 minutes from the airport. Beautiful view to the coastline. You can get coffee on the first floor while sitting on the terrace and watching sunset and train going along the seashore. All give you unique experience. You can find a lot of good options for breakfast. And staff can speak English. Especially thanks to Shamerra for his help and guidance.

GGuest UserThe hotel is quite clean, there is a swimming pool, there was no refrigerator in the room, the food in the restaurant is not very suitable for Russians, they cook unusually and not tasty. The food in the restaurants of Unyvatuna was much better. The location is very good. If you have not been to Colombo before, I highly recommend taking a tour from a tuk tuk driver, they offer tours at the hotels. You can negotiate for 4000 rupees. He will briefly tell you in English and drive around Colombo for 3 or 4 hours. We saw all the main sights and the driver waited at the temples and museums. Despite the fact that at the resorts they offer to pay for a tour of the same places, but with a Russian guide for 100 dollars per person. The price is not justified.

「「taozi」Overall, it was okay, but things were a little slow. I had to wait for an hour to check in. The WiFi was sent by the housekeeper after contacting Ctrip customer service. There are basically no people in the area who speak Chinese.
The hotel has a swimming pool, breakfast is included, you can see the beach, and the train passes by at 5 o'clock in the morning. In terms of value for money, it's pretty good.
Go out to the main road, about 600 meters away, and then on the right, there is a supermarket and KFC
