Find the Cheap Urakawa Hotels

The hotel service is first-class, the staff is in good English, I randomly assigned the room, but gave me a smoking room, although I used SMS to inform the hotel not to give me a smoking room, but when I came to the hotel, I still gave a smoking room. After I communicated with the staff, he immediately changed the non-smoking room than me. I was really grateful. It was a surprise to go to the room. It was a twin room. The room was comfortable and the place was wide. It was highly recommended. I had the opportunity to come here again and definitely stay again.

If you are not into hostels and you like to have a privacy, this is not a place for you. If you like to freely come and go, this is not a place for you. If you don't like to be told off by the receptionist because you misplaced your shoes, this is not a place for you. I specifically booked a room with private bathroom as advertised, yet all was there a shared toilet, a row of sinks for brushing teeth in a room without a door and the only possibility to have a shower was not even in the same building but in a public bathhouse. None of this information was available at the time of booking. One minute from this place there is a proper hotel with nice staff costing 20 dollars more.

A hot spring facility attached to a roadside station. The price is also reasonable at 500 yen. The inside of the hotel is kept clean and there is a large sauna and open-air bath where you can relax. The attached restaurant was crowded around 6pm, so I tried to eat it later, but unfortunately I couldn't because the last order deadline was 7:30pm.

This hotel is ideally located for those looking to visit or hike Mt. Apoi. It's an older, budget style hotel, with most rooms offering just toilets and no showers or baths. However, there are separate male and female onsens available on the ground floor. The restaurant is good for dinner, but I strongly recommend skipping breakfast. For 1850 yen, you get a pre-made roll with egg on one side and ham on the other—it’s fine as a meal, but definitely overpriced! The hotel is showing its age, and seems to be struggling financially. The walls between rooms are quite thin, so it's easy to hear your neighbors. On the bright side, the location is peaceful. The staff are fantastic—extremely helpful and made every effort to communicate with us in English, and welcome patrons with a warm smile.
