1. Transportation: I just missed the last bus when I arrived at the ferry pier on Shodoshima Island. It was only 1.5 kilometers away from the navigation and positioning, so I walked there. Leisure time, about 25 minutes.
2. Surroundings: It is about 15 minutes walk from Angel Road, about 5 minutes walk from the hypermarket, and 10 minutes walk from the ramen shop, but it is sold out at about 8 o'clock.
3. The hotel itself:
Service: The store is a very enthusiastic and gentleman old man, who takes the initiative and patiently introduces the surroundings of the hotel. My wife and I are both terrible in Japanese, but miraculously understand almost all under the various explanations of the old man;
Room: Japanese-style tatami room, the first experience, I think of Doraemon’s room, there is no separate bathroom, but it is very tidy, I like it very much; the bathroom is on the first floor, divided into men’s and women’s baths, and the latest use time is 10 o’clock.
4. Disadvantages: poor sound insulation. The reason why I say the shortcomings separately is because it is more obvious. In addition, it seems that there are no other shortcomings.
5. General comment: There may be many possibilities for different hotels in Shodoshima, but the next time you go, you will still choose to enter the boat first, and no more explanation is needed.
We decided on Shodoshima as a family trip destination because the sea and mountains are close by and we thought the kids would enjoy it. We were looking for a place to stay that wasn't a hotel but one that didn't require us to worry about the surroundings and had a kitchen where we could make simple meals, and we decided on this place, but we were surprised that the room exceeded our expectations. The kitchen, washing machine, and furniture were all new and stylish. The room was spacious and we were glad we decided on this place. We could see Angel Road from the window, and the sandy beach appeared and disappeared with the tides. We really felt the nature. We definitely want to go again.
Every year, I have a friend 6 〜 7 people staying. This is the 4th time.
The beach is right behind. From this year, we have been able to do activities such as SUP.
There are kitchen and BBQ equipment, which is very convenient.
(I always buy nets, charcoal and ignition agents at home improvement stores before going.)
The room is clean and clean.
If you put a futon in a large Japanese room, you can sleep eight people enough.
In addition, there are two rooms, so there is a banquet in the room.
The best point is that the water around the bath, the washbasin, the toilet is clean and there is no stress.
Thank you for having the best summer vacation every year. Thank you again next year.
A nice house with a very beautiful ocean view. the location is not easy to find without the road leading by host's friend.
The hot water for shower is not enough hot, we just can classified as warm water.

Outstanding
GGuest UserIt is an inn that stayed overnight during a large consecutive holiday for Seto art. The hotel in Takamatsu city was very high and I didn't feel like staying at all, so I decided to stay at Shodo Island. I chose this inn with a high reputation among them. The inn is a minute walk when you leave the high-speed ship terminal at Dojo port. It is very close and convenient, and the bus stop is also right next to it, so I think it is the best location to go around Shodo Island. Check-in is smooth. The lobby is large and souvenir shops are complete. There are books, chairs, insect removal sprays, and it is relaxing, and it is exhausted. You can also leave your luggage before and after the stay. It is for pilgrimage to prepare water on the front door? Old-fashioned customs stir the willingness of travel. There is also an elevator, so it is safe for those who are inconvenient. The room became a room facing the road of 3 floor and 8 tatami mats. It is enough for two people. There are TV and hot water, but bath, toilet and washing are joint. Yukata is prepared. The men's toilet also had hot water washing. The bath is not large, but it is a level that is not a problem even if it enters with several people. The facilities are old, but they are clean and above all, the husband's lady is very kind. It is worth staying enough. The price is not so high, and if you choose a plan, you can have dinner and breakfast. Convenience stores are close even if you stay overnight. If you stay at Shodo Island, you can relax because you can precede those who come from uno and Takamatsu on the next day's sightseeing. It is especially recommended for those who are used for Setouchi Island 々. It is an inn that I want to use next time.
GGuest UserThe proprietress of this hotel is very kind, the service is very thoughtful, the room is clean and comfortable, and the facilities are complete. The breakfast is delicious and vibrant every day. The location is excellent and it is convenient to visit the surrounding attractions. Highly recommended to all travelers!
GGuest UserWe stayed with 7 college students. The site is located on the north side of Shodoshima, away from the port, and is a dense place for private houses. A car is a must.
I arrived at night, and the appearance was anxious, but when I opened the door, it became a nostalgic space that renovated an old private house. There are 5 tatami rooms and a dirt floor space is partitioned by fittings, so it can be used according to guests. The dirt floor space that is not seen in modern houses leads people to the kitchen. We had all the tableware and microwaves, and we were able to make cakes and pizza and deepen friendship with everyone. In addition, a projector is deployed and you can project amapra video, so it is recommended that everyone watch a movie with one hand of food. About the bath, the open-air bath was open and the best. However, it was a pity that the amount of hot water was not enough for 7 people, and 2 people had to use a separate shower room, and it was cold in spring.
As a general comment, I had a valuable experience of living in an old house, and it was great to be able to use the actual dirt space. I would like architectural students to have a valuable experience!
Finally, as a advice, it is recommended to check in in the evening and enjoy the old folk house life away from the modern hustle and bustle! !! I will come again! !!
GGuest User4 minutes Sky Seagull Hotel is close to the Angel Road for about ten minutes and then you seven about seven minutes. There are two adult supermarkets for about 15 minutes. There is a barbecue restaurant for ten minutes. The hotel has a wi-fi traditional Japanese style hotel with hot springs. How many days to book and evening dinner Breakfast hotel about five minutes there is a bus stop to various attractions, so the four-country travel coupon can be used unlimitedly on the 7th. There is a hill on the Angel Road called the lover's hill. The sunset is very suitable for couples. If you don't buy the four-country travel coupon, the bus is the most expensive 550. Yen goes to Olive Park. There is a museum in the Olive Park.
The hotel is very interesting. Especially if you are from either North America or Europe. The hotel is definitely a three star resort. The building and majority of rooms are very dated from the 1990's. HOWEVER if you book either the 2 suites or the get a room in the newest floor on the far side of the hotel, those were renovated in 2022 and look amazing. So when we arrived a wonderful agent greeted us and told everything about the hotel. We booked the suite, because I knew it was one of the renovations that was made. When booking here breakfast and dinner are included in the price. Since there was 3 of us, mom dad and kid, we were charged for our son. (The charge was for the food) It's a buffet for breakfast and dinner, and while the food is fine, it wasn't anything memorable. But what buffet is memorable? When talking about the dinning and stuff with the check in agent, she told us that we had to reserve a time for when we want to eat. So she gave us some cards. Three cards for breakfast at a specific time and three cards for dinner again at a specific time. This we were ok with since the hotel wants to know what time we want to eat, to control the capacity of the restaurant. After that we asked about the swimming pool. We were looking forward to using the swimming pool. However, the front desk lady told us that the pool is only open on the weekends. Which I was so confused about but went along with it. (We travelled in July here which I would assume is the middle of the summer) This property has a lot of other activities that you can do but it seems very seasonal and or only available on the weekends. Once we were all checked in she gave us a room key and we walked to the room. When walking to our room the suite we basically saw the entire hotel. It definitely was dated and you could tell that not much maintenance has been put into the majority of the rooms. (Unless you go to go the suite room X2 or Terrace rooms. This area of the hotel was the one that was recently renovated.) Once we got into our room it was a total transformation day and night different between the rest of the hotel. The room smelled clean and had a high end soap set, welcome amenity drinks, small snacks and some other goodies provided. The room was extremely spacious and is about 960 square feet. Our room also came with a giant shower and soaking bath along with an outdoor terrace area for us just to sit back and watch the sunset and stare out at the hills and ocean. There was another room that was separate for dining which was awesome and they gave us a microwave and a good refrigerator. While staying at the hotel we tried to find as many things possible to do there however, during our time (since it was in the middle of the week) There was pretty much nothing to do. The only activity we were really able to do was go to the small arcade for kids and also play some ping pong in a back area. The property offers other activities but I assume that
GGuest UserIt was in front of Tosho Port, so I didn't get lost, and it was convenient to be able to leave my luggage immediately after getting off the ferry. The hot springs were very salty and personally very good. I can't use the sauna at this time of year, but there was a cold bath and I enjoyed a alternate bath. The room was on the port side, so it was nice to see the ship coming and going. There is a souvenir shop and a convenience store near the harbor, so it's a good idea not to go shopping. I was a little worried about the quality of the service of the staff. I ordered a plan to serve seasonal dishes, so I was wondering what kind of dishes would be served, so I asked the serving person, but I was a little surprised that I didn't know the name of the dish. I thought it would be better if I had a piece of paper like today's article writing.
香香港小旅客It is a very comfortable traditional Japanese-style hotel with good service. The environment is better than expected. There is a parking space, which is very convenient for self-driving tours. It has its own hot spring. The staff is friendly, the room is clean, and the lobby is well-equipped. It is very convenient and fun to drive in Shodoshima. And many attractions are good
GGuest UserUse a Japanese-style room with 4 family members. The view was good and the room was cleaned enough. It was a pity that there was no electric kettle.
