LLeungIt was the first time for a group of 4 of us to travel to Takachiho. A friend strongly recommended that we stay at ”Shenxian”, so we booked 2 rooms. We were greeted by parking attendants, explained the room, and made reservations for dinner and breakfast. The receptionists were very nice. They are considerate and have good English skills. The rooms are clean and the hot spring ♨️ water is super good. Dinner and breakfast are fresh and delicious. We will stay at this hot spring hotel again and recommend it to our friends.

GGuest UserReception: On the day of check-in, the cold current was attacked, and the weather was particularly cold, but when I arrived at the hotel, I saw the host standing at the door to greet me, and even helped guide the parking with the cold wind. The whole was deeply moved. Breakfast & dinner: I don't know if this is the legendary ”Japanese Kaiseki” cuisine? As far as I am a foreigner, it must be! The glutinous rice is matched with seasonal/local handmade side dishes, non-staple food, etc., colorful and delicious feasts, Every dish feels the intention of the host's preparation, and the content is introduced one by one when serving, which is a very special feeling. Soaking: although the wooden bath is not big, but there is a kind of quaint beauty, the environment is clean and tidy, the only fly in the ointment is that the face paper, moisturizing products, etc. on the dressing table of the female soup have long been used, but not replenished in time, there are no other shortcomings; After soaking in the hot spring back to the room, I was surprised to find that the host carefully prepared red bean soup, not only warm the stomach but also warm the heart. Overall: If you go to Tianyanhu, it is recommended to stay here for one night. Not only the location is good, you can see the Tianyanhu Shrine when you open the window. You can also stroll to Tiananheyuan early in the morning to fully enjoy the special local scenery. In addition, the hotel's intimate service and delicious meals, It is definitely a different experience from Western restaurants.

GGuest UserThe location is excellent, very close to the Takashimori Gorge attractions, and parking is good. The service staff was very kind and let us borrow the kitchen microwave to heat the food bought at the supermarket. Japanese breakfast is also good. But the room is not soundproof, the switch cabinet and the children are noisy, the room has no kettle, the hot water is required to go to the counter, it is quite inconvenient, in addition, it is very comfortable.

CChan Yau KeiThe hotel is located close to the bus terminal and it is a 7-minute walk to arrive, but the lady boss said that she could send her a car to pick her up! After we checked in, we went to dinner. The lady boss called us to reserve a table beforehand, and then took us to the restaurant by car, and asked the restaurant to call her after our meal and send a car to pick us up to the hotel; because the next day was a weekday, there was no circulating bus After visiting various tourist areas, she arranged a car to take us to Takachiho Gorge, and asked us to walk into a product store there after completing the trip to find the person in charge to call her and send a car to pick us up to the next tourist spot ~ the small train station, and it will be free during the period. It’s really heartwarming to help us prepare a bamboo leaf rice ball for each of us! ! Very friendly and friendly proprietress, of course she drove us to the bus terminal when we finally left the hotel! 😁 The room size is relatively small, there is no problem for 2 people, and it is a little crowded for 3 people! There are small desserts in the room! There is a separate toilet but no separate bathroom, but the hotel has a small hot spring where you can take a shower by the way! The breakfast is a Japanese breakfast, very delicious, and a staff member sings Japanese songs for entertainment! The hotel is not big, it looks a bit like a homestay, but the enthusiasm of the proprietress is full of warmth, making everything unimportant, not a problem, it deserves full marks! ! 👍🏼

GGuest UserLovely hotel located 5 minutes walk to Takachiho Shrine and 15-20 minutes to Takachiho Gorge. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Excellent service at the reception desk. Hotel provided seat cushions for us to sit on to watch the evening show at Takachiho Shrine. Also very helpful with confirming our next destination since we did not speak Japanese. Lovely meals in the onsite restaurant. I would definitely recommend this hotel and even stay here again one day.

JJessicaThe location is convenient. It’s just 5-10 minute taxi ride to Takachiho gorge, 9-minute walk to Amaterasu railway and 12 minutes on foot to Takachiho bus center. The room is big enough, clean and comfortable. The food’s delicious! You must try their chicken nanban and deer meat. Above all, they have the nicest, most accommodating, and approachable hotel staff. I highly recommend staying at hotel grateful Takachiho. Grateful for the best hotel stay. Again, the staff are amazing!
