This hotel is located a few minutes walk from the Dougashima Park. It presented an unique experience, different in many ways from our experience with Japanese hotels elsewhere. The room was huge and modern. The view from our room is the most scenic and it comes with a balcony and a jacuzzi in it. We stayed half board. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet style and yet they were one of the best we had among hotel stays. If I have to comment, the check in time at 1500 was too strict by placing a sign post outside the hotel entrance. It indicated to us that we are not welcome to enter to wait even during a bad weather. The onsen was extremely well maintained but the variety of pools was quite limited. We were glad that we had jacuzzi in room.

We particular like the small rocky beach down the hotel which allowed us to do some snorkeling. The onsen had a good variety of pools too. The variety of complimentary afternoon drinks were unexpected and was a nice touch. The chilling cold local beer was just right for me after a hot morning. If I have to comment, we find long black hair over the toilet when checking in. Whilst free parking is available. The approximately 10 unoccupied spaces closer to the entrance were blocked off that forced me to parking a distance away. It is not nice during the occasional rainy days.
