Stayed here for the first time in about 20 years. First, take off your shoes at the entrance and change into slippers. When I arrived by car, I was asked my name, but there was a piece of paper with my name written on it at the entrance, and I was told to take off my shoes there. I often get a number card, but here I attach the paper to my shoes and give them out again when I check out. Well, the room is a Japanese-style non-smoking room of 10 tatami mats. It was beautiful. Even if you dry the towel in the room, it will not smell like cigarettes. A plastic bottle of water was placed as a service. The baths are alternated between men and women. Both mist sauna and bedrock bath are suspended due to corona measures. It may be unavoidable because the source is originally a cold spring, but the hot water is not hot. There is no sauna, so if you don't take a long bath, you'll feel cold in the winter and it's tough. Food is excellent. There is no menu, but the waiter introduces each item one by one. Also, each dish was elaborate and made me feel very elegant. All the staff members were smiling and it was a pleasant trip. It can't be helped, but the lukewarmness of the bath is a little disappointing. Since the water is boiled anyway, I thought it would be better if either the indoor bath or the open-air bath could be made a little hotter.
I like it very much. The room is not big, but the toilet is separated from wet and dry, which is very convenient. The hot springs are also great, both indoors and outdoors. The staff are all elderly people, but they are very kind. Sometimes they can't speak the language, but they are very patient. The breakfast was great. I like the green in the windows of his house most in summer. The only disadvantage may be the inconvenience of transportation.

We were looking for a place to stay in Nagaoka, this hotel is right by the train station, 2nd closest hotel to the train station, the closest one is JR METS but the rooms are smaller. This hotel is a clean and fine business hotel, but not really suited for families. We have a 3 yr old traveling with us and they did not have baby beds to offer. The manager at check-in did manage to offer us a kids slipper however. Overall the rooms are clean and the twin bed rooms do have one bed against the wall so the toddler could sleep on that one. Although this hotel isn't for families, but it was still the best option considering location, room size. The other hotels near by are even smaller and further away from the train station.
Correspondence is very good. There is a Doutor Coffee server at the entrance on the 1st floor, and you can refill as many cups as you like for free. The room is a little small but functionally comfortable to use. Not only for business use such as 7-Eleven, Chinese restaurants, soba restaurants, and izakaya, but also for family use, you will be fully satisfied. It's close to Nagaoka station, so transportation is perfect.
