The hotel is located on a very large site. At the entrance gate, we received an explanation and a map of the site, then headed to the check-in building. Since Shinrin-no-Yu is open from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., we decided to hurry up and check the bus schedule. (There are 2-4 buses on the site per hour.) We had just left. They said it was a few minutes on foot, so when we looked outside, we saw a sign that said Shinrin-no-Yu with an arrow. We decided to go. We walked down the corridor and went down a few stairs and arrived. About 3 minutes? It was faster than waiting for the bus for 15 minutes!! On the way back, we took the bus. There were several baths, so it was very warm. The facility was also nice and clean. The food was as shown in the photos on the hotel's website. (lol) I wish I had looked into the beds and hot springs a little more, since I was going to the dog run and eat.

Use for a night stay at fukuroi kakegawa kakemori Cho sightseeing. The parking fee was 1000 yen in the municipal parking lot. It seems that the fee is also charged on the premises. I spent five nights in the Kakegawa Grand Hotel in September 2019. The hotel is not too expensive but very close to the downtown and the train station. I saw the hotel as we pulled into the train station and I walked to dinner each night to a different restaurant. The Kakegawa Castle was a short walk to the end of the street. The hotel was clean and the staff spoke English with varying degrees of proficiency. Breakfast was good with plenty of western foods in addition to the Japanese items. Eggs cooked to order and a pot of brewed coffee were nice features. A very pleasant stay and I hope to return someday.
