Find the Cheap Iiyama Hotels

The location is acceptable, 3-4 minutes' walk from the bus station and 2.1km from Tokari Nozawa Train Station. The distance to the ski resort is about 500m. It will feel a little far when you carry your equipment. The facilities in the hotel are complete and new, and the mountain view outside the window is great.

I stayed here for 2 nights this time for skiing. There is a place to change clothes before check-in and after check-out, and a coin locker (for a fee) where you can leave your luggage, which is inconveniently located in an annex that is a little far from the hotel. At dinner, you can refill your own rice, but on two occasions the rice wasn't where it was supposed to be, and when I pointed it out, I was asked to wait a while, and had to wait quite a long time. There were no glasses for water, and the food was cold, so I honestly can't say it tasted very good. The table next to me said the drink they ordered never arrived. The official website says that there is a yukata, but there is none in the room, and when I asked the front desk, they said it would cost 500 yen, and even though I stayed for 2 nights, they did not change the towels, and it said that it would be 300 yen to take a bath after checking out. Even though it's there, it's actually 400 yen, and there's a lot of wrong information. Well, up to this point I thought it was within the range of what I expected considering the price, but on the first night, there was no hot water in the shower, so I had to wash my body and hair with almost no water. What I got into. Everyone hurriedly washed their bodies and ran into the bathtub, complaining that it was cold. I never expected that I would be washing my hair and body with water during the cold winter months. It was very disappointing, even though hot springs after skiing are one of the pleasures. I wonder what I would do if I caught a cold. On the second night, I was worried about taking a bath, but I was relieved that there was hot water. The room we stayed in was large and generally good, the customer service was not bad, and considering the price, I don't think it was bad overall, but I was shocked that there was no hot water in the shower. It was spot on. I wonder if there will be a repeat?

Our first trip to Madarao and this hotel was in the perfect location to ski some beautiful runs. Just a short walk to the lift to hit the slopes. The rooms were clean and spacious and with great views. We had meals included which were tasty especially the apple pie! On Valentines Day the staff went to a big effort decorating and serving a special meal 👏🏼. Staff were welcoming and attentive and had a great sense of humour. Special mention to Sean for great barista skills. That coffee art is pure class! Vanessa, thanks for the hot tips for dinner locations. Guests should take notes as all were perfect choices. If you want great ski or board hire you can’t go past stopping to see Casey and Dan. Our demo skis hit the mark thank you. Although I have it on good authority that Josh and Georgia are great too! If you want great drinks at the bar then Harry can help you. The bar is a good area to hang out and we can’t wait to see the completed renovations in that area of the hotel which will make it a good apres ski spot for guests and others. And not to forget great hospitality from Yannis and Joaquin. If you have spare time then take a trip to see the snow monkeys. It’s well worth the trip and the team can help organise transport. And of course a big thanks to management Lisa and Stuart for your enthusiasm for making the hotel a home away from home. Busy planning our next trip!

Love this hotel. The key ingredient: the staff, so very friendly and polite. Especially Uda at the front desk, she was always cheerful, attentive, and went out of her way many times to see to our needs. She is the perfect representative of everything friendly and positive about this resort experience. This was our first ski trip to Japan and the amenities are such a pleasant surprise. The hotel has its own ski rental, lift tickets sold right outside the door, 2 different restaurants, and its own onsen. Which was a new and lovely experience for me. The hotel is a bit older, and the bathroom is small for western standards, but the bidet more than made up for that ( love it ) and the onsen took care of the daily bathing ritual ( for me ). Heater worked well as well as the wi-fi throughout the hotel. The restaurants were a nice convenience, we paid extra for breakfast and dinner vouchers, and it was fun wearing our provided yukatas ( robes ) all day in the hotel ( not required ). The ski runs are well marked, and the ski lodges had delicious Japanese fare that blew our minds. And the Madapow! ( Madarao powder ) generously snowed down on us. Overall, would highly recommend Madarao Kogen Hotel. Again, arigato gozaimasu to Uda and the entire hotel staff that made our 3 day stay so very lovely and relaxing. There was a hot spring in the open-air bath, the meal was delicious, and the next morning, I saw the sea of clouds, and it was the best! It was paid, but I was saved by the transfer to my favorite place.
