Find the Cheap Ferrara Hotels

I stayed for several nights and found the room to be very comfortable and spacious, ideal for more than a one night stay. There is an Annex with sofa bed and TV (not HDMI capable) , fridge and hanging space. The bathroom is well equipped and the shower was excellent. Breakfast was basic but standard for Italy. There is no lift so be expected to carry your bags and if you struggle with stairs this isn't for you. The room was cleaned every day and the cleaner provided extra bottled water and cutlery on request, she was very friendly. The hotel location is the best in Ferrara as far as I'm concerned. You are next to 2 excellent restaurants and 30 seconds from the main piazza. Parking is about 5 minutes away and approx € 20 per night. The hotel overall was ideal for my needs and I would recommend to anyone stayin in Ferrara

Astra Hotel is not far from the train station and very close to the castle and the center of the town. Lobby and bar area were nicely decorated. The size of the twin room and bathroom were surprisingly big. All pleasant and clean. Breakfast was very good. I wish we had more days to spend in Ferrara, but it was just a day as a part of a trip to the north. We would definitely visit Ferrara again and would choose Astra hotel.

Overall OK, the hotel is located in the city, the staff is very professional and polite. One thing is that the sound insulation effect is really bad, the upstairs room can hear a coin on the floor, not to mention the closing sound, the corridor abnormal noise. Still recommended.

Non fermatevi al fascino della dimora antica. Da fuori sembra un bel palazzo lussuoso che merita le 4 stelle che lo contraddistinguono, ma la realtà é diversa. Molto diversa! Si comincia con l'accoglienza: Avevo chiesto di poter disporre della stanza alle 14:00 tramite booking e il proprietario mi aveva rassicurato che era possibile. Una volta arrivati mi viene detto che la stanza verrà pronta per le 15:00, pazienza, lascio la valigia e vado a fare un giro per Ferrara, rientro alle 15:50 e chiedo se mi hanno già portato la valigia nella camera. ”L'hanno finita solo adesso... La valigia é ancora qui” e me la porto da solo.  Camera piccola e doccia minuscola. L'acqua della doccia sgocciola, il miscelatore non funziona, nel senso che si passa da acqua ustionante e gelata in pochi millimetri. Nella notte zanzare fetenti mi tormentano. Trovo il fornetto elettrico in un cassetto ma non c'é la piastrina. Dormo poco e male accompagnato dal ronzio e dal prurito. Infine quando scendo nella sala colazioni, inciampo nella passatoia della scala allentata e priva di fermi, non sono rotolato per le scale perché mi sono aggrappato al mancorrente! Arrivato nella bella sala colazioni uno squallore totale. Il bel banco bar ingombro di tazzine, tazze, residui di vasetti di marmellata. La scelta del buffet é da pensioncina ferroviaria: salame terribile e fette di formaggio plasticoso, panini gommosi del giorno prima. Si salvano le brioches. Non c'é la spremuta d'arancia e nemmeno le uova strapazzate, malgrado il cartellino che le indica. L'unica cameriera per un servizio di decine di tavoli é trafelata e mortificata, si scusa dicendo che spremiagrumi e piastra gastronorm per le uova strapazzate sono rotte. Come ci si possa fregiare di 4 stelle é un mistero. Alla larga❗

The hotel is located in the outskirts of the city center but it is very convenient if one is traveling by car. To arrive to downtown one needs around 15 minutes on foot. Fine for us. One can see that it had been a very elegant place, unfortunately right now needs renovation. Some things of our room were not in good condition. The heating system was not working properly but fortunately the people from the reception sent someone to fix it. We had too a little inconvenient with some kids that were making a lot of noise making it impossible to sleep. Again the problem was solved. It would say that the most outstanding offer of the hotel is the helpfulness and friendliness of some people in the reception area .There is a guy who is fantastic and I am so sorry that I can’t remember his name. The breakfast was ok. Investing some money to renovating it would be a fantastic idea!!!

No one arrived at the hotel during the off-season. I called and came right away. I can speak English. The room was not hot enough (it was actually cold) and the facility was new. It is estimated that all issues are the cause of the off-season. I'm sorry, this city is not very international.
