Nicely decorated old house (we were staying in the main building) with well-functioning everything (friendly and welcoming staff, decent décor, nice toiletries, well-stocked coffee station in the room, WIFI, clean but a little bit too dark rooms with a few nice historic features). We had a snack in the restaurant in the evening, and we did have breakfast - both went well, I would perhaps consider adding local cheese for breakfast (would definitely make hotel standout compared to the competitors). This is one of the oldest houses in the country, so please be aware that it's not as sound-proof, as one might've wanted (but there are earplugs for light sleepers). The sink in the bathroom was a little bit worn off and shall be lined up for a replacement. You will need to take stairs - it's an old building, there's no elevator (and I didn't dislike it - just a thing to keep in mind when making a reservation).

This was the nicest guesthouse my friend and I stayed at as we toured Iceland on bikes. It is a great location if you want to stay near Glumbaer. The building is brand new and modern with two very large and modern bathrooms and a good sized kitchen with all the appliances we needed (including a couple of coffee options). Instead of serving a breakfast, the owners stocked the fridge and pantry so we had an assortment of breads, spreads, meats, cheeses, skyr, fruit, some vegetables and juices as well as eggs. There was a grill on the patio as well, but we didn't use it while we were there. The guesthouse is surrounded by pastures, so you almost always see a horse when you look out a window. The hottub is fed by a thermal spring and was a great way to relax. I had hoped the owners would push horse-riding on us, but they were off-site.
The Guesthouse is small and of an older style however I thought it had character and whilst not new and ultra-modern it was spotlessly clean. Kitchen is small however functional, be aware there is microwave and toaster however no hob/oven. I was good with that. There was a minor tripswitch issue which lost power to a few sockets. There were others available, and when reported it was sorted quickly. I thought it was great value, well and efficiently run
