Stayed in Triple Bed Room. . Bathroom/Rest Room Cramped/Small. Stayed for Two Nights. After 1st Day Stay, informed the Manager to Clean the room and submitted the keys. When we returned back in the night , found the room at same status where we left, rooms, bed uncleaned and not even dustbins removed. Wet Bathe Towels not replaced in Bathroom. Later when we informed the manager, the dustbins were removed. No lifts..so had to carry the luggage to the First Floor. 24 Hrs Hot Water and AC,TV in Good Condition.
As the name suggests quality is ensured and delivered. Rooms spacious, interior well designed, restaurant great, central ac, staff plenty and well behaved, food good ( bit hot) and cheap quite cheap considering four star facility. It's on the main road few mandirs conveniently located. All good and so five star
The hotel deserves a negative rating for its very poor service and its attitude towards a problem originated in their premises. As we entered our room no.315, there was only one bottle of water for two of us. The room boy stated that it is as per the hotel's policy. No remote was provided for ac. The ac panel was nowhere to be seen. Only wooden made grills were visible. Mind you the outdoor unit of the split ac was seen outside the window. The fan of the outdoor unit was running. After some time, we could feel the ac, though the indoor unit was hidden behind the wooden grill. In the absence of a remote control, we had to put up with the preset temperature. After resting for a while, we had gone out for few hours then returned back to the room. To our utter horror, the ac had stopped working. When we reported this issue to the reception, they had agreed to shift us to another room. We had to repack our personal belongings and shift to room no. 304. AC remote control was made available and we could set the desired temperature. Our car was parked within parking area of the hotel. Next day morning around 7.30AM we were checking out. To our utter horror, there was a long dent and scratch marks on the right side rear door of our car. Immediately, we called the staff at the check out desk Mr. Arokya Thava Selvan to see the damages himself. We demanded from him that the hotel is fully responsible for the damage caused to our car. The hotel should fully compensate us for the damage caused to our Honda Amaze car. We had shared the photograph of the damage to our car. Mr Arokya Thava Selvan had promised to speak the general manager and get back to us. He also wanted to check the CCTV footage. As we had to leave, we trusted the hotel staff and left the hotel for our destination. The very next day (16/09/2024), I called up to check with Mr Arokya Thava Selvan about the status. He was yet to speak to the general manager. He also told me that he was yet to study the CCTV footage.Subsequent days, he would not respond to calls. The hotel also did not respond to any of my emails. As the booking was done through makemytrip.com, I had requested them to take up my complaint with the hotel. Despite repeated attempts by makemytrip.com, the hotel had disowned any responsibility. The hotel had refused to share the CCTV footage too. Our understanding of the damage to our car: Our car was parked in the parking area by our driver and he was sleeping in the resting area meant for drivers. Our driver was woken up by the valet driver of the hotel around 1.30AM. The valet driver had told our driver to move our car a bit as another vehicle needed to be accommodated. Our driver moved our car a bit and went back to sleep. The damage was noticed by us in the morning. By this time, the vehicle which was brought in by the valet driver had already gone. The valet driver was also not present at the time of our check out. Our understanding is that our car was damaged by the vehicle which

The rooms were good and the staff reasonably alright. But full credit must go to Sathishkumar Vaitheeswaran for taking special care of our travel requirements. The hotel did not seem to have its own car to drop visitors. However, Satish went out of the way to arrange outside vehicles on both days we stayed there. Awesome work!!! The room service was not value for money. A bottle of Bisleri was charged ₹42+taxes. And this was not indicated by the staff beforehand. The cafeteria had many staff walking around but very less to understand and serve our requirements. One person takes the order; another person serves the water, a third person brings part of the food, and a fourth person, the remaining food. And a very strange way of making a Gpay at the counter, as opposed to the dining table :-) The kitchen is located one mile away from the veg section, and the chappatis were overpriced. Essentially a good place to have South Indian non-vegetarian food. Vegetarians have limited choices, but that is alright. No complaints. The complementary breakfast was good.
I am utterly disgusted by the horrendous experience I had at your establishment just week ago. I ordered a cup of coffee to my room, only to be served a flask containing tiny worms floating in the cup. It's beyond belief that such a repulsive incident occurred under your roof. When we confronted the server about this nauseating discovery, he callously claimed that the particles were merely paper dust from sugar bags. As if that wasn't appalling enough, upon emptying the flask, we discovered flies at the bottom. The lack of empathy and responsibility from your staff is infuriating. No one bothered to inquire about my well-being after consuming a concoction that you call coffee. Your promise to ”take action” is nothing but a hollow statement, considering the blatant disregard for customer health and safety. How dare you run a hospitality business without the basic decency to ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the products you serve? I find it absolutely unacceptable that I had to endure such a nightmarish experience at your establishment. The blatant negligence and lack of accountability from your end are not only disappointing but also raise serious questions about the standards of your business. I de***d immediate and concrete actions to address this matter. Your negligence has not only ruined my stay but also jeopardized my health for couple of days. It's appalling that I have to express my anger and frustration in such a ***ner, but your lack of concern leaves me with no choice. I expect a swift and comprehensive resolution to this issue, ***** with a sincere and unequivocal apology. Your customers deserve better!! Also the tv cable was not checked before the room was given. The TV was not working properly at all.

We as a family had a wonderful stay at Chola Dynasty hotel. The hotel interiors perfectly captures the essence of Kumbakonam. Friendly staff, spacious room and amazing food! The hotel is situated close to Swamimalai temple. The staff gave us a map of all the temples in Kumbakonam. This is very helpful when you are planning to visit multiple temples in a day and not knowing where to start. The staff gave clear directions to nearby places which was very helpful. The breakfast buffet menu is vegetarian-friendly and primarily consists of South Indian dishes like Pongal, Dosa, Upma, Vada, etc. They also provide egg and egg pancakes as non-veg options. It was delicious! I didn't enjoy only one dish - Sugar Pongal. The taste was weird! The triple bed room that we got was spacious, clean and comfortable. It comes with an amazing shower and balcony. We weren't able to lock the balcony door. We were concerned about safety. The staff got it resolved by installing a latch before we returned to the hotel. I appreciate the efforts taken to get it resolved so soon! On the whole, I highly recommend this hotel for your next family trip to Kumbakonam even though there were minor hiccups.
One day stay at kingsbury. The lobby looked good and was well maintained. Food/snacks at the restaurant was good. Room was small but excellent. Bed and sheets were super comfy. Bathroom was super modern and v hygienic. Limited parking available next to lobby and an extra parking lot is 2 buildings away
Ideally located in a calm but commercial place where the famous temples of Lord Adhikumbheswarar and Lord Sarrangapani , and other temples are situated. We stayed in a Deluxe room on 3rd floor. Spacious with wardrobe and a clean restroom. Complimentary Bottled drinking water (1 number) of local brand, tasting little saltish, is provided daily. No kettle or toiletry is given. But room needs make over as walls and curtains are shabby and dirty. Staff are courteous and helping type. Unfortunately, no good eatery is found in this busy part of town.

Very Good
GGuest UserStayed for four nights. Booked a three bed ac room. The room was spacious and was quite comfortable. The staff at the hotel were very courteous and ever willing to help. The only downside was no vegetarian restaurant attached to the hotel, so if we order tea / coffee or any food on room service, it took nearly 30 min as they had to go out to some restaurant to procure and bring in. The hotel staff mentioned that they have plans to add vegetarian restaurant, hope that happens soon.
Very nice & clean hotel to stay. Hotel staff service is excellent. Very nearby to shops. Car drivers have room to sleep. Would come back next time. Malaysians will definitely like this hotel. Only set back they don't hv international credit card services. Thus you hv to pay cash. Hope they will look into this matter since a lot of foreigners stay in that hotel for temple prayers. Other then that the hotel is good. They hv fan in the washroom, dressing up place & at bed. Would recommend to others.
GGuest UserThe room was ready on time. I was able to contact the property owner, who was very helpful. The caretakers arranged transport at reasonable rates and were supportive throughout the stay. The room was clean and hygienic. The ac worked well. Hot water was available. The lication is quite good, not far from the city tempmes and railway station. Would recommend for family and solo travellers. Decent and safe place.
GGuest UserThe positive points about this hotel are its location, reception, staff and cleanliness. The drawbacks are the non-availability of an attached restaurant, limited provision of toileteries and delayed response by housekeeping. The location is very good as it is centrally located. The reception staff are excellant, courteous and helpful. Other staff like the attendants etc are also good. The entire premises including the room are kept clean. However, one has to go out in search of good hotesl for food. It is surprising that a nearby good hotel called venkataramana, forgot the name, is closed on sundays! another point of concern is that only one bottle of mineral water and a soap are provided. No other toileteries are provided. No free newspaper. Asked for a change of stained bedsheet which was provided only after reminder and long delay.
GGuest UserThus place is good to stay alone or with family or friends easily can connect to bus stand by walkable distance of less than 10 minutes and another 5 minutes to railway station both should be around 1km. Opposite to hotel you have rathimeena private travel operator. Next to hotel you have pattukotai kamatchi mess with ac where non veg lovers should definitely try the unlimited meals. Breakfast and dinner you can try outside like mangalambika mess near athikumbeswarar temple, hotel rayas, annalakshmi restaurant near from our hotel stay with nearby 200-300, metres away. Otherwise you can try any restaurants checking with local people. Travelling alone you have private and government buses to explore all the temples in and around kumbakonam, if not rent a car with family. Overall vekay residency is a good place to stay with neat rooms with both ac and no ac and easy to connect bus stand or railway station. You should ask drinking water and towel to them unless they won't provide. Enjoy your stay.
GGuest UserI ***** with my family stayed at the property, everything was fine. The room was clean and well maintained, location and food was also fine.
