Decided to book the residence bintan last minute for our anniversary celebration and weekend getaway. We booked one bedroom beach front pool villas and it was amazing!!!! WE LOVE IT. They decorated the bed and gave us the cake as a compliment. The hotel also provided the free land transportation from ferry terminals and return. Breakfasts were variety and international. The only thing is hotel location is far from the ferry terminals, it might feel a little tired if you only stay for 1 night. But overall, we would love to go back again. All the staffs were very responsive and very helpful.

Biru is the villa area of Nawan Garden. The environment is very good. The waiter sent us to the door of the room with great enthusiasm. The single bed in the bedroom is a bit small and can only sleep one adult. If there are many people, you can put the two single beds together. The bathroom is a bit simplistic, if you need a comb toothbrush you can call. The overall feeling in Bintan is that people are very good. Even if the communication is not too smooth, they will not bother to explain. My request is to know one or two keywords. The only regret is that I saw a mini zoo in Nawan, I wanted to take the children to the waiter and told me that I was gone.

Neat little boutique resort with very pleasant staff. Very serene environment wthout noisy families and children.. surrounded by plenty of mangrove habitat within the property. Outside the property, you can cycle to rustic local villages and fisherman wharf (15mins walk away). Could hv been better if wifi is more stable. Electricity tripped once when we were there for 3D/2n..and if there is a.mini-fridge in the room, it would be perfect. Otherwise, all facilities are good enough. Menu serves a variety of western, indonesian and some chinese food but your best choice would be their yummy indonesian selection. Basic water activities eg swimming pool overlooking the sea, kayaking and other on-site tours are available. For kids: small slides, swings, see-saw, small animals eg rabbits, cats and chickens. Entertaintment: simple board games, uno, darts etc

Beautiful & unspoilt location to get away from it all! The property is located on this stunning beach with an infinity pool to enjoy the views, together with the well kept gardens or beach to lie back & totally relax! The beach villa is well worth the extra & enjoys a comfortable rustic style with the view & gentle sounds of the ocean. The rustic style continues throughout with a picturesque decking accommodating the restaurant. The menu is varied, reasonable & we enjoyed exceptional dishes every time. The staff are all very friendly & welcoming at every encounter, particularly Anuar who is an absolute delight with such a cheerful & friendly nature, always wanting to make sure that his guests are enjoying their stay. We highly recommend this resort & island - it’s just a short ferry ride from Singapore & approx 50 minute taxi ride but you get to see the island at the same time too. Thanks for the earlier recommendation re: Taxis too. Don’t go for the ones immediately as you come through customs & immigration, but those just as you exit. (Barter too, as we paid 250,000 Ind Rupiat each way plus tip).

Originally I booked the unit with sea view at Indra Maya Villa but there are steps to reach the villa. But with a wheelchair-bound elderly, we had to cancel and booked KWA Villa directly from the Resort. KWA villa seems to be the only one with direct access without steps. KWA Villa has beautiful layout especially the private pool and sea view. Also have a personal buggy provided. Also a nice pavilion - perfect for quiet time. The outdoor sofa should have proper shelter. When the rain came, the sofa was all soaked wet. Insufficient lighting within the living/dining room. Estate maintenance is poor. Lots of mosquitoes. The Resort doesn't provide insecticide. On Sunday morning, we are deprived of water supply in the Villa because the pipe burst outside the Villa. So we could not swim because we could not use the bathrooms. Housekeeping is generally ok. Even beach towels. Kitchen has utensils & crockery but the bowls, knife and ladle missing. The staff especially Ahmad who drive the buggies and vans are attentive and dedicated. Ahmad pushed my mother's wheelchair to/fro road/villa through the rain and was drenched despite the umbrella. The breakfast food selection limited. With limited guests, the buffet became a ordering system. We had to order from the system.

My stay at ROKA Resort in Bintan was simply unforgettable, and this was largely due to an incredible meeting with Sophie, the manager of ARKASIA – Animal Rescue Kingdom Asia. From the moment we arrived, ROKA Resort enveloped us in an atmosphere of serenity and luxury. Nestled in the heart of beautiful nature, the resort offers a perfect setting to relax while being in harmony with the environment. The cherry on the cake was our meeting with Sophie, a passionate and dedicated person for the animal cause. Her work with ARKASIA is simply admirable. She enthusiastically told us about the efforts made to protect and rescue animals in Asia, showing us the importance of preserving local wildlife. Her passion is contagious, and she gave us an inspiring insight into her daily work and the challenges she brilliantly overcomes. This moment added a unique dimension to our stay, allowing us to see beyond the idyllic setting of the resort to discover a noble and inspiring cause. ROKA Resort is not only a place of rest and relaxation, but also a place where you can make meaningful and enriching encounters. It was very nice. The location is about 45 minutes from the ferry port but that means it is quiet and relaxing which is exactly what we wanted. The staff were friendly and attentive. We tried as much as we could from the menu and it was all great. The crêpes for breakfast were especially good.

GGeorg ChristopherThe hotel and its facilities are very nice. Here and there a few spots of improvements needed but otherwise a very attractive hotel with lovely features. A very pleasant stay starts with a dedicated lounge at the ferry terminal which is available upon arrival and departure (taking care of your visa and other requirements). Travel to the actual hotel is within short 20 minutes by hotel shuttle bus. You can chose between colonial style suites at the main building or near by or Thai/ Bali style villas on the large ground and a short walk away from the main building. The Thai villas are very nice, filled with all the necessary amenities and some top of the range products. Plenty of storage space, outdoor veranda seating and well kept exterior make it really nice. At the main section, the pool is with its 50 meter in length a true highlight, together with the very easy and close proximity to the pristine and huge beach section. Although facing north, the beach is actually in a bay and can be explored for hours. Also well worth mentioning is the spa which provides truly amazing treatments administered by very experienced therapists who will truly pamper you from start to finish.
Regrettably, there are also a number of shortcomings. Although the hotel provides insect repellant for your daily use, even the best of preventions and best of cleaning/ spraying efforts of the staff will not stop billions of sand flees attacking you on the beach, especially after rain or during the evening hours when you become their dinner.
However, the biggest drawback is the food and beverage section. For a hotel operating in such a high price category, the restaurant is a true letdown perhaps even the sole reason for not coming back again. Yes staff everywhere is very friendly, attentive and making it their business to know you by your first name from the start, but the entire food and beverage section requires a lot of improvements to even get close to a star rated service. Yes the drinks are well made (guess can be expected at prices of US$20 plus) but the restaurant service truly lacks what it takes. The food, expensive as it is, lacks any sort of imagination, is void of any special touches, and surely does not represent Indonesian cuisine in any shape or form. As said, staff are very friendly and trying their best however, if they are not taught the basics or led by indifferent managers, then things need to change. Management comes from the top.
In summary, if you are looking for a nice place to relax in a colonial style building, not too crowded with a lovely pool, then please try the Sanchaya. However, if you looking for cuisine which is anything but poor, not even ordinary, then you better look elsewhere.

A special touch was the thoughtful wedding anniversary decorations and the delicious chocolate cake left in our room – a delightful surprise that made our celebration even more memorable.

GGuest UserThis would have got an average rating had it not been for the staff - competent, professional and always willing to help. The facilities seem jaded maybe due to the Covid related lockdowns etc and some parts especially the toilets ( the toilet seat was almost black ) were a disappointment. The location is excellent with a fantastic sea view from the restaurant and the beach is clean for the most part. The villas are good with a nice private pool and decent sized rooms. Our requests for buggy to transfer us from our Villa to the main building were always attended to promptly. The a-la-carte food that we had in their restaurant- we tried the local Indonesian cuisine- was excellent but the breakfast buffet was average. When I had interacted with the staff after booking this place, I was told that late check out is subject to ‘availability’ but it clearly isn’t as they charge for every extra hour. This could have been communicated in a better way. There is room for improvement but overall we had a good stay as the property is quite good.

YYe MinOverall, the resort is acceptable. The resort is surrounded by the woods and far from amenities. Thus, if anyone likes to buy any goods, it would be quite difficult to access groceries.
The resort restaurant costs around S$ 49 for 2 pax, which is inevitable as the place is pretty isolated. The fact is that nothing much choice is available in the menu.
The resort is service apartment type and provided with lots of utensils for own cooking and usage. However, there is no groceries or min Mart nearby.
The resort offered free time to time shuttle bus service which is good for all customers. Ferry and shuttle bus timetable us available at reception.
Though we booked as a Garden view, we received car park view, bit it is okay for us since everywhere is quiet and tranquil.

RRaynorWe had a blast at Anmon Bintan! Our group of 12 loved the unique glamping experience. The teepees were clean and comfortable, and the activities were a highlight. We had so much fun at the water park, riding ATVs, and kayaking through the mangroves. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Although there were a few minor waits for the buggy, it didn't dampen our overall enjoyment. One night wasn't enough to experience everything Anmon has to offer, so I'd recommend staying at least two nights to fully enjoy this amazing place!
Food were expensive, we ordered from Warung Yeah!

GGuest UserWe have found this beautiful place on our 2 days dad/son bicycle tour through Western Bintan. We loved the ample, farm type camp that is in between the hills and savannahs with the reddish coloured earth and evergreen palm trees of Bintan. The reception area is already oozing openness and friendliness, and you check in a very pleasant and welcoming world. The owner has established this is as a sustainable youth training and learning center, at the same time offering splendid and well-integrated guest activities for families, kids, and groups. We stayed in one of the clamping houses adjacent to one of the small and relaxing lakes, and my 5y son loved every inch of it. The A/C motor works in the background, the bathroom is bigger than in any of the Lagoi resorts we have been so far. The food is very deliciously mildly spicy, the coffee machine is Italian, the breakfast offers a choice of two menues which makes it easy not to choose wrong. The best part is the always friendly and supporting staff. Yanu was very supportive when engineering a kite and helped us making it fly (even outside his shift). The creative center is definitely worth a visit. As natural bicyclists, we loved the empty and small paved roads around the Camp, so we even had a wonderful time biking down to the Blue Lagoon (1hour). From the Ferry Station TM it is a 2h bicycle trip with a few stops in the road (try to avoid the heat). The Bintan Ferry takes bikes for transport, so do 6-seater cabbies in Singapore. I can strongly recommend this place for any escape plans from the big city and for all nature fans.

I brought a big family of 12 pax, and its definitely not easy to handle but the hotel staff has gone out of their way to ease alot of our troubles! The staff were so sincere in helping us with shopping tips, where to get food, transportation and even food. My highest compliments to the GM or owner of the hotel, she definitely went out of her way by making sure we were sent to the ferry terminal safely. she was so humble and definitely made our experience greater. Hotel rooms were definitely new and comfortable. The front desk made sure we were able to have connecting rooms and were on the same level. On top of that, wifi was good throughout the hotel. easy connection. Another compliment goes to the chef at the restaurant. Food was of great quality and worth the wait. A bit of hiccup, but the service recovery was fast and superb. Sincere apologies from the staff and they ensured improvements. I love the breakfast too. good spread and honestly zero negative comments on the food. It was really well cooked and nice! This hotel deserves a high rating for service and quality. we have already made plans to return! Thank u once again to every staff that has made our stay a great and memorable one!

2. The most pity stuffs are Monopoly by the owner even the excuse is away from reasonable (private resorts)
- no access to public taxi service say grab. Again the reason we told is the Nirwana resort is private one
- due to the monopoly, there is limited restaurants for options: the one for breakfast (level 1). The one above the one for buffet (level 2) and Kelong restuarant facing the sea
- the outstanding outcome from the monopoly is the pretty higher price for foods...I expect to have lunch at Kelong restaurant and in the end back after checking out the price in menu. Actually during the lunch time, there is no people having dinner except 1 or 2 guest to check out the good view facing the sea...pity !!!
The postiive goes to some entertainment or activotoes in the hotel say swimming in outdoort pool. Sands and Bowling etc.....
My proposal for their management is to open the service to guests in their hotel so there is more options even I will never come back to the hotel in Bintan...I has been to Batam before and the experience is better....

董董I got the wrong ticket, so I came to this hotel. There is no other choice in the local area. The building is very old. Apart from the sea view on the rooftop and the smiling service at the front desk, everything else is lacking. The hygiene of the room is the biggest problem. It’s dust, the blanket doesn’t feel changed, the sheets are black and a lot of cigarettes are hot out of the hole... drunk... Breakfast is difficult to swallow, no porridge to buy, milk drinks are not, tea and coffee can not add milk ... would you rather have a better room for a better experience? There is a local tour in the hall. Although it is cheap, I don’t understand English in driving. I don’t understand Chinese. It’s a crash... I must remember the next time I can’t make a mistake....
