GGuest UserThis apartment/hotel is a short distance from the harbor and the main part of town, close enough to be an easy drive, far enough to be a longish walk. The room itself was great, large and with two balconies, more like a nice apartment than a hotel. It had a nice pool area and breakfast was well worth the extra 10 Euros. The owners and staff were very friendly and welcoming, I felt at home from the time I got there. The only thing that could have been better is the lack of cooking gear and things like paper towels and dish soap and cleaning supplies. There were only a couple of pans, and limited cutlery. I probably could have asked for more but since I travel quite a bit in Airbnbs and apartments, I carry my own stuff based on past experience. I had a great stay, everything went smoothly and the staff was very helpful.
GGuest UserWhat a true pleasure it was to stay at this hotel! Lia is an absolute sweetheart and the other members of staff are equally friendly, helpful, and pleasant. We stayed for a week and access to the ”old town” was easy - a short drive. Parking was readily available. The room was excellent! It was very clean and had a comfortable bed (& comfortable pillows too). The room had a lovely view of the Fortress of Palamidi and there was a private terrace to enjoy. It was very quiet and the amenities are very well maintained. The breakfast was good and had a variety of treats. The owner has clearly ensured the hotel has everything one needs to enjoy a peaceful, pleasant and welcoming stay!
GGuest UserWe loved everything about this hotel !! We stayed 2 nights .. family of 5 with 3 teenagers . Upon arrival the manager Elena could not have been more welcoming, informative about restaurants and sites to visit in the area and just overall a wonderful host and a huge credit to the hotel. We had a loft room with a double bed and a camp bed downstairs and a double bed upstairs . The mattresses were super comfortable and we all slept great! The AC was also excellent! On arrival 𝐸𝑙𝑒𝑛𝑎 told us that the breakfast was something special but I was not prepared for the most amazing spread the next morning (photos attached!) The sheer amount and variety of delicious food was unreal and when I asked what happened to all the leftovers she told me they give them to a charity every day to feed those in need. It was simply the best breakfast we have come across on this trip after 3 days in Athens , 6 on Spetses island and 7 travelling around the Peloponnese. I would also like to me to mention the fabulous waitresses at breakfast .. they could not do enough for us and the smoothie they served everyone was sublime ! The water on the table was infused with mint lime and ginger ! 𝐸𝑙𝑒𝑛𝑎 herself has a huge knowledge of the area and have us superb recommendations which archaeological sites to visit (Mycenae, Epidaurus and Pallamidi) and which local restaurants were best .. fabulous one 5 mins walk from hotel on seafront where we had delicious shrimps . She also recommended a great pizza place in Napflio Il Porto which the kids said was amazing ! If we are back in the area we will definitely stay at the Alexandros! I would like to wish all the staff continued success and thank them for a really lovely stay .
MmikepR4482VCThis hotel is very cool and love the authentic shabby chic look. Staff very helpful and friendly. Really loved the room overlooking the castle. Small but perfect. Shower was literally wow. Bed was comfortable and large. Loved the breakfast in the Wild Duck downstairs. Only critic was too many stairs for us, so if you have a baby or toddler stay on first floor .
GGuest UserPerfect location, most hospitable host. Literally turned up and booked a room. Room was basic but I felt the host had made thoughtful efforts. Fridge had complimentary beer, water, juice and chocolate for us. Shower and shampoo minitures, slippers and hairdryer. Family room had bunk beds and a double bed. Large bathroom with working power shower. (Would of liked to of seen it a bit cleaner, toilet roll holder was very rusty and could of easily been replaced. But we were only staying over night. We were able shower and sleep peacefully. Free air conditioning in room. Overall for a quick stay over it fitted the bill. Location literally a street away from tavernas shops. Next to fortress wall.
The location was good. The staff was very friendly. There was plenty of space. We had a 2 room suite with kitchenette. There were candies as welcome gesture. We had a door leading to inside patio which was nice. The shower area was very small. There was no shelf to put soup or shampoo. The shelf at the sink was too small. The towels could be cleaner. The breakfast was good and included hot dogs, omelets, sweet and savory pies, cheese, bacon, yogurt with different jams (kiwi, quince apple, orange peel, etc.) and other good food. Overall it was a very good hotel.
JJowoThe hotel front desk is very capable of solving problems. Due to the time difference, our reservation date was wrong, and the kind front desk guy quickly helped solve the problem.
AAnspachEricPension Anapli is a small guesthouse with a lot of character, just be aware that this is a somewhat quirky old pension, not a modern hotel. The location in Nafplio is good, with a close walk to everything in the old town. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was small, but clean and nice. A few notes, there weren't really enough places to put your belongings down, or hang them up. A few shelves and hooks would have been helpful. And the wall between my room and the next was somewhat thin, so it was possible to hear what was going on in the next room. But overall, it was a very good place to stay, and a good value. I would certainly stay there again.
GGuest UserPros: 1) Location is good. The place is close to the Nafplio Old Town. 2) The front desk staff speak excellent English 3) The WIFI is free and the speed and connectivity are good. 4) The room and bathrooms were very clean 5) There are several good restaurants within walking distance 6) The place is quite at night and sleep quality was good. 7) Air condition was available 8) The room had a good view. 9) Front desk is staffed 24 hours 10) The rooms and bathrooms are spacious. 11) There is street parking available next to the hotel. 12) The tariff was reasonable. Cons: 1) We had a very noisy neighbour, thanks to whom our sleep was spoilt. That is not hotel's fault. The hotel's rooms are certainly not sound proof.
GGuest UserWe went 3 days (a couple with a little child). Easy parking around the hotel or the municipal parking that is next door. Location next to everything. The room (double & only bed/sands) renovated, view BEST in Burji right in front and palamid on the left. Clean room. Very good breakfast. Personal polite.
