I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Holiday Inn Express Wigan and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm and friendly service from the staff. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed with all the amenities I needed for a pleasant stay. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, and the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. The hotel also offers a complimentary breakfast each morning, which was a great way to start the day. The selection of food was impressive, with a variety of hot and cold options to choose from. The location of the hotel is also excellent, with easy access to the town center and nearby attractions. Plus, the ample on-site parking made it easy to come and go as I pleased. Overall, I highly recommend the Holiday Inn Express Wigan to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in the area. The staff, accommodations, and location all exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to staying here again in the future.

Nice enough room and location for a night. Our only issue was the heating. The radiator seemed to be set on a timer and we couldn't change the temperature so the room was either too hot or too cold

The room is clean and tidy. The hotel has a rich breakfast. The price of dinner is about the same as that of a shopping center. The environment is quiet and recommended directly. The service is very good

After an exceptional stay at the Wigan Holiday Inn Express on September 20th, 2024, I didn’t expect such a stark contrast in service at another location within the same hotel group the very next day (September 21st, 2024). This time, we experienced a completely different attitude at the front desk—rudeness and dismissiveness. Despite multiple requests for assistance, such as having my room closer to my friend’s, an hour late check-out (which my friend was granted), and fixing the issue with my room’s air conditioning (my friend’s room was fine), we were met with vague, unhelpful explanations that treating a fool. It felt like dealing with political officials dodging direct answers. For the first time ever, I left a hotel feeling genuinely angry. They might be better suited for a career in politics.

Pleasant hotel. Price matched Premier Inn opposite. Main downside is if u are a stranger, finding the access road at night is a nightmare as it is not signed. We drove round the area 3 times before I found the way in!!!! Hotel interior corridors dingy and lift takes you to the wrong floor. Rooms 500 onwards on fourth floor! Pleasant enough but for £104 I expected higher standards.

Excellent location, beautiful setting, very helpful staff, wonderful food. No complaints
