"Hotel nice but the beefeater for food was average. Breakfast not good and staff inattentive."

"The hotel is just on the outskirts of Ipswich. The staff are very welcoming, and extremely helpful. The rooms are of a good size and very clean. The housekeeping staff cleaned our room every morning after we had gone out, which was excellent. The restaurant food is of a very high standard and there is a good choice including vegetarian options. In the bar area where it is of a relaxed nature, you can order food from the bar menu or the restaurant menu. Either way, nothing is ever too much trouble. The swimming pool, sauna and steam room are a must. My husband used the gym which was of an average size and then would come down to the pool area for a jacuzzi. Although they have the spa treatment available, I can't really comment as I didn't use the facility. If you want a relaxing time or want to visit the seaside, Felixstowe is only a 30minute drive away. There are also many National Trust houses to visit. This the second time we have been to the Belstead Hotel and I can honestly say we will be visiting it again."

"Situated very close to Ipswich train station. A very warm welcome by the owner. My room was at the front and there is a bit of train noise, but this didn't bother me. The room was spotless and very neatly presented. The shared bathroom seemed clean too."

"Really great location shouldn't and the bar area is lovely-the free pool table is already nice touch too. The décor and finishing touches in all the downstairs areas Ah really nice and gives the hotel a very Homely and more sophisticated feel. The rooms were clean with really good amenities and a lovely shower. We stayed on a Saturday night but there was noise audible within the room and the hotel in general had a very chilled out and relaxed feel. Would definitely recommend and look to stay at one of the hotels in the chain for future trips."

"The location is very good, the room looks at the marina, there are a lot of restaurants downstairs, including a nice Chinese restaurant 92 Noodle. Free parking"

"It is a nice surprise to stay in the hotel for weekend. The hotel price is very reasonable, which also included full English Breakfast buffet, to my surprise. The hotel also have swimming pool and Suna though we don't have time to use. The room is also spacious. There are plenty of space for car park just in front of the hotel. "
