This was a beautiful hotel with an amazing spa beautiful landscaping, and very friendly staff. The food was good and we were kindly upgraded to a gorgeous room with stunning views. All in all, amazing value for money.

The hotel is in a suburb, the suburb of Bodmin, next to a highway service toll station, but there are few food at the toll station, just McDonald's, Subway and a Coop supermarket. If you want to go to Bodmin town for a meal, you can't do it without a car. Because it takes more than 2 hours to walk. So in theory, it should be normal to take away food. We bought food and prepared to eat in the hotel lobby, and then the front desk staff came and said that you can't eat, our place provides meals, and you can't eat takeaway food. To be honest, this is the first time I heard this reason. I'm not sitting in your restaurant, can't I eat takeaway in the lobby? I've stayed in many HIXes in the UK, and I came across this one, which was arrogant and acted like it had a reason. Other HIXes will let you use plates and knives and forks.
