Comfy well cleaned room and bathroom. Lacks a fridge which would have been welcome. Decent gym and the swimming pool is a great way to stay active away from home. Staff all good and seem well trained and personable Restaurant is poor for choice, quality and expensive- just parted with nearly £6 for a pint followed by £17 for a risotto which had nearly zero flavour served so fast it must’ve been microwaved. Breakfasts are good with decent hot and cold choice

Location perfect for accessing Bristol - and just off the M5. Parking free. Rooms quiet, clean & warm and beds extremely comfortable with beautiful pillows. Fantastic shower. We would also highly recommend the integral Black Sheep pub serving delicious continental breakfasts (the pain aux raisins were to die for) as well as traditional English bacon/ sausage butties. The staff were, without exception, polite and efficient. We are fussy when it comes to where we stay but we honestly would not hesitate in giving our 2 night stay a 10/10.
I always title my reviews “THE GOOD BAD AND THE UGLY” as all three have a meaning read my previous reviews. To stat I rate our experience very good all but a nasty experience I will go onto later? THE GOOD Good size bedroom large king bed (two singles pushed together)lovey soft sheets comfortable pillow’s,super raindrop shower. Large good buffet style breakfast fruit JUICE great coffee. THE BAD Drinks expensive £11.00 for two beers 👎Dinner expensive partners food cold people receiving food before us ordering after us👎Luckily we had a £50.00 dinner credit which was needed 👍 You have a small motion sensor light in the toilet so when you move it switches on but this seemed to come on regularly during the night which was irritating😡without any motion? THE UGLY Now this is where it gets serious☝️ I had a nasty accident in which I cut my finger badly in a drill hole cut into my bedside drawer? The photo’s show the poor design on the bedside drawer front in which you have to push your finger into a neatly cut hole to pull out the drawer how bizarre? On doing this the drawer stuck and I badly cut my finger on the sharp drill hole edge☝️ This was reported to the duty manager and noted in the accident report book and I have reported this to the customer relations department in which I await a reply. Moving on from this I would go back to Village hotels using a Buy A Gift voucher which makes it a good deal but WARNING be careful where you stick your finger☝️
The staff at the hotel were all very nice. The food was excellent. I encountered the best bed for the first time in a long time and had a good rest. The surroundings are very convenient.
It happened that I went to find friends during the Spring Festival and stayed in this motel. This is the first time I live in a motel, it feels great and convenient, there is free parking, the decoration is also very new, and the service industry is very good. The American restaurant downstairs is also delicious.
Not only was the room perfect (comfy, clean, spacious) The staff were absolutely amazing. Breakfast top notch too. One of the best hotel stays I have ever had. Infact, the staff were so kind and understanding, that when I had to get admitted to hospital they extended our stay *for free* for an extra 3 days, and said we could stay as long as we needed until I got better. Truly so grateful for all their help and they deserve the best review I can give. Thank you Holiday Inn express! We are so grateful for your hospitality and compassion, would not know what we would have done without your kindness xx
